The issue was once again brought up recently, coincidentally at a time when I was figuring out what to do with this site.

I enjoy writing about both sports and am learning more about them each day but spending hours on a daily basis updating this site without any compensation or feedback has just made me discouraged to continue this site.

Working on Casey's site would be a different story as he has a few people doing different jobs for his site, TV reviews, news updates, PPV reports, etc. which is something I should've considered when launching this and my previous site, so in other words it won't only be me updating a site all the time.

I do have kind folks sending in columns, news reports, live/PPV/TV reviews which are always appreciated but doing daily site updates can be a total pain in the ass after a while.

So I'm not sure what will become of this particular blog, I don't really want to delete it but at the same time this blog won't be updated often if at all. I could make this a music news blog but then that's more work and plus there are a million music news blogs out there so who knows what will happen.

If you've frequented this blog or even read just one post I thank you and appreciate it. As of this moment please focus your attention to the <a href="http://oldcountrycorner.blogspot.com/"target="_blank">Old Country Times blog for any current activity involving myself.

Also, if you are a current contributor to Strong Style Shimko your posts and work will now be posted at <a href="http://oldcountrycorner.blogspot.com/"target="_blank">oldcountrycorner.blogspot.com.

Thanks again,
Art ShimkoArt Shimkohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18150447775667746115noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7707211740256915538.post-79853555735142640502007-05-27T09:59:00.000-04:002007-05-27T10:01:52.082-04:00A NOTE TO READERSBy Art Shimko
shimko_7@hotmail.com

-- I am beginning to shift any future posts of press releases, columns and other submissions as well as news reports to the Old Country Times blog at: <a href="http://oldcountrycorner.blogspot.com/"target="_blank">oldcountrycorner.blogspot.com.

I will make you, the readers, aware of the future of this blog within a few weeks.Art Shimkohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18150447775667746115noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7707211740256915538.post-1512426651995622852007-05-22T23:43:00.000-04:002007-05-22T23:48:13.247-04:00Sirius Satellite Radio and Grateful Dead to Create Grateful Dead Radio ChannelGrateful Dead Radio to feature music and concert performances of the band

NEW YORK, May 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SIRIUS Satellite Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI) and the legendary Grateful Dead announced today a new radio channel dedicated to the music of Grateful Dead and its band members.
Grateful Dead Radio will be heard exclusively on SIRIUS and feature music spanning the band's long and storied career, live performances from the band's own archives, bootleg performances from fans, previously unreleased recordings, and even special shows hosted by members of the band. Grateful Dead Radio is expected to launch on SIRIUS this summer.
"We have fans who've driven hundreds of miles to see us," said Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart. "Now you can save on greenhouse gas emissions with SIRIUS without driving a mile."
"Grateful Dead's importance in the history of rock n' roll is undeniable. In the 60s they helped to define a generation with their music and their creativity, in the 70s they virtually pioneered the concept of 'jam bands,' and in the 80s and 90s they were among the preeminent live touring bands. They have continued to amass a significant and extremely loyal fan base to this very day," said Scott Greenstein, President, Entertainment and Sports, SIRIUS. "This unique musical relationship makes
SIRIUS the premier home for Dead Heads across North America and Grateful Dead Radio will bring the band's music into the future of audio entertainment."
"Listen up, and listen good," said Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir.
Grateful Dead started a musical revolution in the psychedelic landscape of the 60s. The band, well known for constantly touring, kept the hippy spirit alive during the following decades, creating a devoted community of fans. Grateful Dead's numerous studio recordings were often collected from material that they originally played in concert.
Grateful Dead Radio joins a line up 24-hour, commercial-free music channels dedicated entirely to some of the world's greatest recording artists such as Elvis Radio, channel 13, the world's only official, all-Elvis Presley radio channel broadcasting live from Graceland in Memphis. SIRIUS has previously dedicated channels exclusively to the music of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, The Rolling Stones, David Gilmour and Pink Floyd, George Strait, and most recently The Who. SIRIUS is also the exclusive radio home of Shade 45, channel 45, the uncut hip-hop channel co-created with Eminem, "Little Steven" Van Zandt's Underground Garage, channel 25, Jimmy Buffett's Radio Margaritaville, channel 31, and Siriusly Sinatra, channel 75, the only channel dedicated to the music, time and spirit of Frank Sinatra.
To learn more about SIRIUS, please visit http://www.sirius.com.
About SIRIUS
SIRIUS, "The Best Radio on Radio," delivers more than 130 channels of the best programming in all of radio. Both times the match was fought over a title, with the winner having to retrieve the belt from the ceiling of the arena.

We at PWU have decided that tradition is one that should continue.

Therefore, rather than a tag team grudge match, this year's mega match will be for the Pro Wrestling Unplugged Heavyweight Championship. It will involve
current champion DEVON MOORE, the new fan favorite DETOX, and former PWU Heavyweight Champion, TOO COLD SCORPIO.

Watch the short video on ProWrestlingUnplugged.com showing the past two Crazy 8 matches, and let your imaginations go wild as you picture Scorpio swinging from those ropes and scaffolds as he tries to regain his title.

In addition, our other main event will be what I believe is the first ever tag team IRON MAN MATCH pitting the SAT's and AMIL as they attempt to finally end this war once and for all.

We will be releasing more information later this week regarding other matches, our first ever tailgate party, and the names of some Superstars who will be debuting June 16th.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note to webmasters/reporters: When recapping news or referencing commentary from this site please include a link to <a href="http://meanfilipine.blogspot.com/"target="_blank">meanfilipine.blogspot.com as opposed to "Strong Style Shimko", "From The Mean Filipine Blog" or derivatives. The big one. Culmination. July 20th. This will be the semi-finals and finals of the CWE Unsiputed Title Tournament. 4 men. 1 belt.

Semi-Final Matches:

Chris Hero v Claudio Castagnoli . These men have traveled the globe together, and they know each other as well as any other two wrestlers could know each other. They have won tag team gold in virtually every promotion they competed in as a team [at the same time]. Now they will go up against each other one on one. Both men are two of the most popular wrestlers in the CWE, so it will be interesting to see who's side the fans will take.

Eddie Kingston v "Sweet n Sour" Larry Sweeney. These two as well have an extensive history together. Sweeney and Kingston trained together, but Sweeney developed a better than thou ego, and alienated most of his fellow wrestlers. They have fought since in some of the most hard hitting matches on the east coast.Kingston doesn't care what anyone thinks about him, and Sweeney seems to love the fans' disdain.

The winners of those two matches will meet to determine the first ever Championship Wrestling Experience Undisputed Champion!

But that's not all. As announced at Mother's Day Meltdown we are proud to announce:

That's right! TNA X-Division Champion Chris Sabin will be making his CWE debut July 20th against "MDogg20" Matt Cross! This should be a huge match! Cross has traveled all over the globe and taken on many opponents, but this very well might be Cross's toughest match-up to date. As soon as this announcement was made there was a rumbling of discontent. We can't say who it was at this point and time, but what we can say is that someone may be out with some interesting comments to make about this match-up.

Also, due to a confrontation backstage at Mother's Day Meltdown, which can only be seen on CWE home video, Culmination will see a long awaited one on one match between Johnny Gargano and Patrick Hayes. Both of these young guns are undefeated in CWE competition, but that will ultimately end on July 20th. This will be a man not to be forgotten.

Lastly, we have just got word that sooner rather than later we will have an opponent for the debuting bad-ass Raymond Rowe. Rowe has been on a path of destruction throughout NorthEast Ohio and Western PA over the last several years, and he is coming July 20th to begin his quest in the CWE ring!

We will have much more in the coming weeks, but for now we encourage everyone to pre order their tickets at our website www.championshipwrestlingonline.com so that they can get the best seats in the house. Front row seats are only $20, second row $15, and general admission just $10! Don't miss your chance to be part of this history making event Friday, July 20th, 2007 and the Jewish Community Center in Youngstown, Ohio!
The Anarchy TV tapings have been hovering around 100 since March. For comparison, Anarchy was averaging close to 150 during the same period in 2006.

How the seasonal attendance pattern translates to the unknown territory of running the summer big show at the Mountain Center is anybody’s guess. Nobody is expecting full house, nor is one needed for the show to be a financial success. NWA Anarchy owner Jerry Palmer clearly loves a challenge, and he’s twice succeeded in filling a building in Helen with 500, so it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that he could beat than in Gainesville.

But getting back to the matter at hand, this taping was packed with material.. The booking appears to be right on track to peak the key programs for Hostile Environment, several members of the roster are showing noticeable improvement in the ring, and two relative newcomers have earned elevations to higher profile positions.

(1) Jeremy Vain beat Todd Sexton to retain the NWA Anarchy Television Title in 7:45. Early on, Sexton appeared to have an answer for everything in Vain’s playbook. Sexton hit a Thesz press and went right to a cross armbreaker, with fans calling for the tap out. Sexton ate a boot charging in, and Vain took over with a middle rope lariat. Vain was able to cut off Sexton’s comebacks. Vain started taunting. Sexton made him pay with a fiery flurry of forearms and knees, building to a big flying boot for a near fall. Vain hit a wheelbarrow suplex for near fall and said it was over. That was the kiss of death. Moments later, Sexton locked in the Anaconda Vise. Salvatore Rinauro ran out and blatantly raked Sexton’s eyes to break the hold. Why ref Brent Wiley didn’t call for the DQ is one of those pro wrestling lapses of logic you just learn to overlook. Rinauro led Sexton on a merry chase around the ring and back to the inside, where Vain caught Sexton with a DDT to score the pinfall.

Ring announcer Eddie Rich threw it backstage where Greg Hunter was with the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion, Chad Parham. Hunter confronted Parham about giving Ace Rockwell three piledrivers including one on the ringsteps. Parham said Rockwell was history as a title contender, and he was focusing on NWA World Heavyweight Title because he was the first guy chosen to be in the tournament to determine the champion. Hayden Young showed up and told Parham to quit looking at the world title because had a contender standing in front of him. “The sign outside says professional wrestling, not welcome to the circus. You’re a sideshow, my friend, and I’m the main attraction,” said Parham.

(2) Seth Delay & Adrian Hawkins beat Hollywood Brunettes (Andrew Alexander & Kyle Matthews) via DQ in 8:52. Somewhat of a babyface pop for Delay and Hawkins. Delay came out carrying a chair. Hmm…Hawkins and Delay controlled Matthews with a headlock. At one point, Alexander slipped off the ropes on a springboard move and fell into the ring. Hawkins is one of the guys showing improvement, and he demonstrated it here with some quick thinking by covering Alexander for a two count. Then, as Hawkins was going for a slingshot maneuver from the apron, Alexander pulled him down to the floor and kicked his ass. The highlight of the heat was a combo sandwich (a Matthews slingshot senton with Hawkins stretched out across Alexander’s knees). Hawkins did his springboard back elbow to get the hot tag. The Brunettes traded eye rakes with Delay. Hawkins spoiled the Brunettes’ finisher. With referee Harold James distracted by the brawl between Matthews and Hawkins, Delay tossed the chair to Alexander and went down like he had been shot. James saw Alexander with the chair and called for the DQ. The Brunettes’ protests fell on deaf ears. Hawkins dragged Delay to the back, but Delay started laughing when the ref wasn’t looking.

Hunter was backstage with Anger Inc. and Brodie Chase and Brandon Phoenix. Adam Roberts said the two teams were getting in each other’s way and going nowhere, so he suggested forming an alliance. Chase agreed that the four of them together could rule. Now what could the four of them be called? Roberts suggested “the Anger Alliance.” Chase said he liked it and noted the “Double A.”

(3) The Anger Alliance (Brodie Chase & Brandon Phoenix & Adam Roberts & Don Matthews) beat Derrick Driver & Steven Walters & Jeff Jameson & Billy Buck in 12:18. Standard tag match structure with each babyface getting a brief chance to shine before AA took over. Driver is athletically talented, and deserves a better fate than being slotted as a job guy. Walters did a nice single arm DDT counter out of Matthews’ wheelbarrow. The standout on the heel side was Matthews, who looked much better than he has in any of his previous Anarchy appearances. Chase hooked the ropes and kicked Buck in the face. Then the rest of AA dropped Buck’s body across the rail. AA beat up on the powder blue cowboy. Matthews destroyed Buck with stiff strikes. Buck was showing all the fight of a lump of clay until he mustered up a flying lariat. AA attacked the gibronis. Inside the ring, Matthews gave Buck a modified snake eyes and decapitated him with the Clothesline from Hell.

(4) Chad Parham beat Hayden Young to retain the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title in 8:45. Gets my vote for best match of the night. Parham was thingyy as hell doing arm drags and nip ups. He slapped Young across the face. Young did the A. J. Styles dropkick sequence and pregnant dog slapped Parham. Young exploded into a jumping huracanrana. But Parham turned Young’s up and over move into a rude bump off the apron. Parham rammed Young’s back into the barricade. Parham went to work on Young’s neck. Nice job of selling by Young. The crowd got behind him. Young responded with a flying headscissors attempt, but Parham planted him on his face. Parham did a 15 second stalling suplex for a near fall. Parham tried to drag Young out of the corner, but Young used the ropes to boost himself to standing position and hit a spinning enzuigiri. Sweet. Both men down. They came up trading blows. Young made the comeback – standing dropkick, back body drop, jumping legdrop for a two count. Young hit the Flying Squirrel, but Parham got a foot over the ropes. Young hit an insane barrel roll dive to north side, where there are only a few feet between the ring and the barricade. Young tried a springboard move back to the inside, but Parham shoved ref Brent Wiley into the ropes to upend him. Parham went right to his devastating jumping piledriver for the 1-2-3. Parham stood with one foot on Young while Wiley strapped the title belt around his waist.

A totally respectable hour overall capped off by with excellent main event.

(5) Truitt Fields defeated Salvatore Rinauro in 11:17. Driving back from our Beach Blanket Bingo Blast vacation, I was pondering who might be the next big star to come out of the Georgia scene. Then, I saw this match. Fields has future babyface heavyweight champion written all over him. The physique was already major league, but he’s got fire to burn now and the crowd is behind him. Rinauro was no match for Fields’ power, so he cause distraction and used a dropkick to the knee. Fields roared back with an impressive display of power and agility. Fields did a gorilla press and dropped Rinauro on his face, and the crowd popped for it. Verging on desperation, Rinauro posted Fields’ shoulder and smothered him with the ring apron. Fields fired back with punches, which need work as they reminded me of Cena. Rinauro put pressure on the neck with a surfboard. Rinauro deposited Fields’ crotch on the top rope, and Fields went cross-eyed. Fields kept Rinauro busy snuffing out his comebacks. Rinauro went for a front guillotine, but was having trouble getting it fully applied. Sexton came to ringside and told Rinauro he needed to cinch it in. Rinauro had words with Sexton. Fields rolled Rinauro up for a near fall. Rinauro dropkicked Fields in the back of the head and resumed his verbal battle with Sexton. Fields capitalized with a top rope shoulder block for the 1-2-3.

Postmatch saw Rinauro put Fields in the guillotine. Sexton then started pummeling Rinauro. Vain jumped Sexton. Fields jumped on Vain, while Sexton beat on Rinauro until the heels bailed out. Good stuff. Sets up some interesting possibilities for the future.

(6) Slim J beat Patrick Bentley in 11:57 to even their best of five series at 1-1. This part of the Bentley story is working tons better than chapter with Delay and Hawkins. I’ve never seen an Anarchy crowd so hot for pure chain wrestling, and that’s all they were doing for the opening minutes. Jo dominated the match. He used a shoulder lock to set up a cross armbreaker. J then shifted his tactics to strikes and high impact moves. At 6 minutes, Bentley came back with a running knee for a near fall. J hit his double stomp/elbow drop for near fall. J applied an innovative cutthroat headscisssors submission. Bentley got another brief comeback, before J started stretching him bigtime. J went high risk, and it didn’t get the reward, as Bentley caught him in midair with roundhouse kick. Bentley used the Putski Polish hammers. This time, it was J catching Bentley on the top and hitting a superplex turned powerslam for a near fall. But Bentley countered J’s aerial maneuver with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. They went back and forth, each blocking the other guy’s finisher until J got the pin with a variation of a folding press.

J asked Bentley if he was sure he wanted to do the best of five. Bentley didn’t say anything, but whatever he did, J said he would take it as a yes and told Bentley to get out of the ring so he could celebrate.

This is only going to get better. I have the sneaking suspicion that it’s going to end up 2-2 with the deciding match to take place at Hostile Environment.

Urban Assault Squad and NWA Anarchy owner Jerry Palmer entered the ring to address the heinous actions of Justice Served. They got the biggest pop of the night as usual. Jackson had a huge patch over his eye and was wearing sunglasses. Palmer described the thing between Justice Served and UAS as a game of one-upmanship that had spun out of control when Al Getz tried to blind Jackson. Nemesis started channeling New Jack here. He said UAS tried to work with Jason Justice and company but they ultimately “butt f-ed us.” Nemesis went off on the ringside camera man because he wanted him up on the ring apron to get a close up of what he was going to say. Nemesis said, “Get your fat ass up here, “and started to haul the poor guy up onto the ring apron. Cooler heads prevailed, as production guy Kevin Marx helped get the camera man positioned. Nemesis said black people have wanted something for 400 years, and he wanted Justice’s ass. Jackson said he saw the mistake they had made by following the rules and not cutting off fingers or breaking backs. Jackson said the difference was (with the people behind them) UAS was a team and a family, and nobody could stop them. Huge pop for that line. Palmer said nobody had heard from Jason Justice, but he, Palmer, had talked with him. Al Getz appeared on the big screen. Getz said Palmer had been outwitted once again. He said Palmer was feeding UAS lies to give them hope. “Master of Mind Games” Getz said he knew Palmer was baiting Justice Served into coming out there, but it wasn’t going to happen, because he called the shots and the confrontation would take place under “our rules.” Nemesis had the last word. “Have you ever played a mind game with two mean ass black persons?”
.
(7) Jeff Lewis beat Shaun Tempers (with “The Reverend” Dan Wilson) via DQ at 7:39 when Azrael interfered. Bailey was conspicuous by his absence. The blonde hair and goatee sure give Lewis a different look, like Luke Graham minus the twitch and the decadence. I’ve been neglecting to mention how much Tempers has picked up his game for far too long. He’s been having consistently good matches, and this was no exception. Lewis jumped out on top. He started throwing his weight around. Tempers went to the gutter, but Lewis hit an overhead suplex for a big near fall. The momentum shifter was Wilson’s Staff of Righteousness. Tempers got near falls with a powerslam and a hangman neckbreaker. But Lewis came back with a slingshot suplex, which brought Azrael to ringside. Lewis fought off Azrael, and backdropped Tempers over the top. Tempers took a wicked shot to the small of the back from the ring apron. Lewis followed with as vaguely shocking dive onto Azrael and Tempers. Inside the ring, Lewis hit the Final Curtain and Azrael kicked him in the head for the DQ.

The Rejects started to go to town on Lewis, but the NWA Elite’s monster, Abomination gave killer tree slams to the both of them. Wilson brought Dominous out. Wilson called Abomination “a big retard.” The big retard did a Frankenstein walk towards the Rejects, and their was a ruckus backstage like he was running them out of the building.

(8) Phil Shatter pinned Iceberg with a powerbomb in 8:03. Shatter was able to stand toe-to-toe with the “Inconceivable Being of Horror.” Credit to both guys for getting that point across. strong. Shatter told Iceberg “there’s no fear in these eyes.” Wilson made his way back to ringside. Iceberg cheated on the break, but Shatter staggered Berg with a lariat, and a second helping took him clean off his feet. Wilson used the staff, but Shatter shrugged it off and grabbed him. But Iceberg seized the opening to pound Shatter. Wilson used the staff behind the ref’s back. Iceberg offense was, to say the least, devastating. He thwarted Shatter’s comeback and hit a killer of a gordbuster. The next thing you know, Abomination and Dominous are slugging it out at ringside. Dominous accidentally clocked Wilson. Abomination started clubbing the s*** out of Dominous. Iceberg was up on the ropes poised to crush Shatter. At this point, Bailey ran in and threw powder in Iceberg’s face to set up an amazing finisher.

Wilson was still out, so Iceberg had to grab him by the feet and drug his sorry ass to the back, while Bailey stood in the ring, laughing his greasy ass off. Bailey invited Lewis to join them, and hour number two closed with the visual of Bailey’s new and improved NWA Elite, Lewis & Abomination & Shatter.

The second half had more good stuff than they can fit in a one hour television show.

NOTES: NWA Anarchy returns to Cornelia on 6/2 with Bentley vs J match #3, Brunettes vs. Delay & Hawkins and the return of Luke Hawx and Steve Anthony…Tickets for Hostile Environment ’07 go on sale Monday 5/23 at the Gainesville Mountain Center with tickets priced from $15-25. Preston Quinn (wrestled once in Wildside) & Pharaoh match was changed and didn't receive a match.

- We begin this week’s episode of NWA Anarchy with a replay of the heinous attack on Patrick Bentley by Seth Delay & Adrian Hawkins. Also, Bill Behrens sanctioned an Anarchy Rules match for Hardcore Hell between the Devil’s Rejects and the NWA Elite.

WRESTLING: (n.) \’res-ling\ A sport of contest in which two individuals face off in unarmed combat.
ANARCHY: (n.) \an-ar-key\ (1) A state of lawlessness due to absence of authority. (2) A complete lack of order.
What happens when you mix the two together? NWA-Anarchy!

- Greg Hunter and John Johnson recap the two matches announced for the 11th Annual Hardcore Hell: Jeremy Vain vs. Slim J vs. NWA Anarchy TV Champion Ace Rockwell vs. NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion Chad Parham in a double jeopardy match, and The Devil’s Rejects vs. NWA Elite in an Anarchy Rules match. Neither team can touch or confront each other until Hardcore Hell. If anyone does, Behrens will say “goodbye” to the Weakest Link™. This week Hayden Young & Austin Creed take on NWA Anarchy Tag Team Champions Justice Served with “Mr. Representation” Al Getz, and Slim J vs. Jeremy Vain.

1. Hollywood Brunettes (Kyle Matthews & Andrew Alexander) vs. Derrick Driver & Steven Walters
THE MATCH: The Brunettes are a fun knockoff of the Hollywood Blondes, Steve Austin & Brian Pillman. The Blondes were a great tag team, but were split up after tagging for about 9 months. Driver catches Alexander running to the corner with an odd looking back elbow. Walters wheelbarrows Matthews and he takes Alexander down with a spinning head scissors. The Brunettes take over when Matthews pulls the top rope down and causes Driver to miss it on a springboard attempt. After commercial, Alexander tosses Driver to the floor so that Matthews can chop him. Back in the ring, the Brunettes use a double team slingshot legdrop on Driver for a two count. They use more double team maneuvers to get heat on Driver. Driver fights back with a clothesline on Matthews. Walters receives the hot tag and goes Buck Wild on the Brunettes. Matthews shoves Walters off the top turnbuckle to the floor. They finish off Driver with a top rope double stomp into a chestblower. Beautiful.
WINNERS: The Hollywood Brunettes.
COMMENTS: This was a match that allowed the Brunettes to showcase their teamwork. There was an odd spot early on when Walters back elbowed Matthews, but everything else was good. Driver & Walters are good talents. Hopefully, Brunettes can live up to their billing.
RATING: *

- The NWA Anarchy Angel Mary interviews NWA Anarchy Owner Jerry Palmer. Palmer reflects upon the two matches signed for Hardcore Hell until he is rudely interrupted by Adam Roberts. Roberts is extremely annoyed that Palmer crossed his name out because his partner Jason Blackman is not in the building. Then all of a sudden, a wrestler in a rebel doorag enters and asks about his match. This infuriates Roberts and he begins to argue with the individual (Don Matthews.)

2. “Merciless” Don Matthews vs. “the Windbreaker” Windwalker
THE MATCH: Roberts and Matthews continue to argue until Windwalker rolls up the debuting Matthews for a two count. Matthews catches Windwalker bouncing off the ropes with a wicked clothesline. Matthews wins after a back splash and the VFK (leaping Yakuza kick to the gut.)
POSTMATCH: After commercial, Roberts confronts Matthews about not having a tag partner. Matthews reluctantly accepts Roberts as his partner against Truitt Fields & Phil Shatter. The problem is Brody Ray Chase & Brandon Phoenix has a match with the Marines. Brody promises to show everyone who is boss unless Roberts & Matthews leave. Well, that the cue for both heel teams to launch an unmerciful attack upon our heroes. The Welcoming Committee heads out to stop the carnage. Johnson’s ride is here and must leave. Sigh. What will we do without our color commentator?
WINNER: Don Matthews in a quick squash.
COMMENTS: There’s nothing more fun that watching two heel tag teams arguing and then uniting to destroy a face tag team. This seems interesting enough, so let’s see where there is takes us.
RATING: N/A

- We’re supposed to have a NWA Anarchy Tag Team Title match, but the Brunettes launch of vicious attack on Austin Creed & Hayden Young. Johnson has fired Fernando because he hasn’t arrived yet. The Brunettes destroy Creed with the top rope double stomp into a lungblower while Young’s arm devours a somersault senton from an electric chair position. They sandwich Young’s arm in a chair and Alexander smashes it with another chair. Johnson rejoices in the fact that Young will not be able to sign any paychecks in the near future. The referees, trainees and security head out to carry young to the back. It looks like we won’t have a NWA Anarchy Tag Team Title match tonight. This was a great segment that set up for a future feud.

- Justice Served and “Mr. Representation” Al Getz heads out to the ring. Before he can bless the NWA Arena with his presence, the fans interrupt him by chanting something. Getz commands the referee to countout the challengers after they were attacked. The referee administers the 10 count, but the Urban Assault Squad has other ideas. UAS connects with a spinebuster on Justice and say they are tag champions. Jerry Palmer calls for Mary to give him the belts, but Al Getz snatches them. Getz argues with the referee as the crowd chants “UAS.” Eddie Rich announces that the Urban Assault Squad is still the tag champion because the referee never called for the bell to signal for the match to start. Getz calls Palmer a loser and himself a winner. What a schmuck Getz is.

3. Jeremy Vain vs. Slim J
THE MATCH: How else would start a match between two mortal enemies than by a slugfest? NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion Chad Parham joins us on commentary to add his expert opinions on both competitors. Vain retreats, but Slim wipes him out with a tope con giro, the correct name for the move. In Japan, the announcers accidentally mispronounced giro as hilo. Hence, we call the move in English as tope con hilo when it is actually a tope con giro. Or so that is how the story goes. Ace Rockwell predicts he will hold two championships after Hardcore Hell. Vain shoves Slim, so Slim steals him in the face. Vain retreats and slides back into another punch. Vain slides back to the floor and Slim cuts him off on the apron. Parham claims that Rockwell’s claim to fame is beating Jimmy Rave. Rockwell counters that it took Parham 45 minutes to get the job done while it took him only 15. Parham takes exception and instructs Rockwell to shut up. Parham calls for the referee to ring the bell after Slim lays down multiple punches on Vain. Hunter asks Rockwell about Parham. Rockwell admits Parham is great, but he can be beat on any night. Rockwell tells him that Parham should look at the man on the right. Parham commands Rockwell to shut up so he can observe two of his upcoming opponents. Slim takes Vain over with a nice butterfly suplex for a two count. Parham asks what is Slim doing, but Hunter doesn’t have a real name for it. Rockwell calls Parham crap as Vain gouges Slim’s eyes and follows up with a suplex for a two count. Rockwell brags about being a one time champion because he never lost his title like Parham did. Vain continues to dominate Slim. Parham reminds everyone that he has main evented in four Hardcore Hell events and won all four while the other three challengers haven’t. Boy, does Parham exude thingyiness or what? After commercial, Hunter continues to egg Parham by calling Rockwell the best wrestler on television. Parham makes excuses when he was pinned by Rockwell. Vain slaps on a sleeper, but Slim takes the easy way out by reaching the ropes. Parham admits he’s not smart, but he is the best wrestler today. Vain whips Slim to the ropes, but they clothesline each other. Slim lands on top for a two count. They struggle to their feet and duke it out. Slim begins a comeback. He rallies the crowd, heads to the top turnbuckle and takes Vain down with an inverted DDT for a two count. Parham says he would have dropkicked Slim’s teeth out if he had tried that on him. Vain uses the ropes for leverage, but can’t get the pinfall. Slim trips up and double stomps Vain for a two count. Slim slaps on the Roach Clip. Parham refers to Vain, “Show some ring awareness, you moron.” Vain shows ring awareness by grabbing the ropes. Parham asks what move caused Slim to lose the Anarchy Title. Hunter answers correctly, the cradle piledriver. Parham continues to brag by saying he stays off the top rope as Vain trips up Slim. Vain executes a backwards powerdrop for a two count. Parham and Rockwell argue about hooking legs. Slim surprises Vain with a rollup for the win.
POSTMATCH: Vain launches a vicious attack on Slim. Rockwell leaves the announcer’s table to make the save. Parham leaps off the announcers table and splashes a cup of Starbucks Coffee in Rockwell’s face. Shades of Ric Flair and the Giant. A blinded Rockwell connects with the Ace’s High on Slim.
WINNER: Slim J.
COMMENTS: Chad Parham should become a manager or a color commentator if he is ever forced to retire from wrestling. I was forced to watch this match twice after listening to his shenanigans and constant demoralization of Rockwell. Parham sounded like an insider on a podcast when he pointed every fallacy in execution by Slim and Vain. Parham is insanely talented despite his size. Somebody, please give this man a big money contract. Rockwell handled his duties and to a good extent, passed himself as a legitimate contender to Parham. The match itself was good and had an acceptable conclusion. The postmatch activity was merely used to set up for the big four way.
RATING: **¼

- OVERALL: This episode advanced more storylines and perfectly set up the main event for Hardcore Hell, established an undercard match and sowed the seeds for two potential feuds. You have to listen to Chad Parham on commentary to appreciate how much he brings to the table.
- DOWNLOAD: http://www.thesuperstation.net/nwaanarchy.html.
- More TV & DVD Reviews, Mid-Atlantic news: http://www.airplanespin.com/home.html

NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE SIGNS EXCLUSIVE MEDIA & MERCHANDISING
RIGHTS DEAL WITH BIG VISION ENTERTAINMENT

May 15, 2007 - Los Angeles, CA

The National Wrestling Alliance, the oldest and most respected
organization in the professional wrestling industry, has signed an
exclusive 5 year deal with Big Vision Entertainment, one of the
fastest growing independent entertainment companies and the leader in
independent wrestling distribution.

Big Vision CEO Houston Curtis said, "We pride ourselves on bringing
the best quality content to our fans and consumers and for almost 60
years, the NWA has been the measuring stick for quality in pro
wrestling. He didn't
even know what this company would be called next month
if Johnson won the main event, but even though he was
not a wrestler, he would fight to save the fed.

After this, Ben Johnson, also in his ring attire, came
out to a chorus of boos. He stated that he wasn't even
worried about the main event and decided to spend a
little time torturing the NWA Wisconsin trainees (and
the crowd) with a calisthetics contest. After this
Johnson called out Ring Announcer and His
Partner. He told that that if they could win their
match tonight against the Trans-European Express that
not only was ring announcer allowed to finally say
his name, but Johnson himself would do it personally.
Oh, and that this would be a handicap match and the
Good Reverend would be the third partner of Ring
Annoucer and His Partner!

Ring Announcer, His Partner, and Ben Johnson def. The
Trans-European Express
The very strange duo of the Trans-European Express
walked almost mechanically to the ring to the sounds
of early eighties German techno music. The two
hooded me from the former comunist block took the
fight right to the youngsters with their unorthodox
style, including several uppercuts and suplexes.
Halfway through the match, His Partner was
incapacitated by a thunderous shot of the Good Book to
the left temple. Ring Announcer left with only the
Good Reverend as his partner, tagged in Johnson when
he was not looking. Johnson got in the ring, trying to
figure out what to do with the Express. Ring
Announcer then nailed Johnson who ended up falling on
one of the Express. Due to the girth of the Reverend,
he crushed the "opponent" and stayed on him for
a three count. Horrified at what had just happened
Johnson kept his word and announced that Ring's name
is in fact Brandon Madrox. He then ordered the
Trans-European express to take out Madrox. But the
Dream Police stepped in to save the day and revealed
that the Trans-European Express was actually Jerry
Stylz and Jose Guererro!

Arya Daivari def. Bobby Valentino
The number one conteneders match for the ACW X
Division Title was another great exhibition of pure
athletic and wrestling ability. With the title belt
hanging above their heads both contenders they faced
off. With great X Division action from both
competitors, the match ended with a phenominal DDT and
a magic carpet ride from Arya Daivari.

After the match the Portly Padre waddled his way back
to the ring and offered Arya Daivari a spot in the
main event on his team. When Bobby V. stepped
forward and told Johnson that he wanted the spot,
Daivari beat him down and showed his true colors. On
the way out of the arena, Shane Hills stopped the pair
and told Johnson that he didn't approve of Daivari on
the team and he didn't like ACW legend Shawn Daivari
either. Tensions brewing, they all made their way
backstage.

The Dream Police def. Jerry Stylz and Jose Guererro
In a no holds barred brawl, these four competitors
tore the place up. The action was almost too much to
call as Gotti took Stylz to one side of the arena
while Gambino took Vato to the other. While Stylz got
a trashcan over his head and took some shots from the
fans, Vato busted an ashtray over the head of
Gambino. After getting back in the ring, the bloodied
Cookie Cutter and Gotti took one hell of a beating
until the unfamiliarity of Stylz and Vato teaming
together lead to an opportunity and the Dream Police
dropped Vato with an elevated DDT onto Stylz. Justin Dredd /w Miss Anne

This was possibly one of the most brutal matches in
ACW, and most definately the most brutal in the NWA
era. With the title suspended 10 feet above the ring
the two took after each other with every implement
available. After many shots with ladders and chairs,
Colucci took the wood to Dredd. Dropping him on the
table not one, not two, but three times and the table
would not break. After a series of exchanges, Dredd
gained the upper hand and knocked Colucci to the
outside. While Dredd ascended the ladder, Miss Anne
steadied the ladder for him, until she tipped it over
sending Dredd though a table on the outside of the
ring. Colucci then quickly grabbed the belt while Anne
held the ladder. While Colucci and Anne celebrated the
victory Ben Johnson once again reared his ugly head
and congratulated the newest member of his
Congrigation, Nick Colucci!

After the crew cleaned up the destruction, Professor
Roderick J. McFahrquahr came out to induct Adrian
Seranno into the ACW Hall of Fame. Upon saying his
name, however, C. Martin McClure popped out of the
lockerroom to inform the crowd that since Seranno had
laid his hands on Ben Johnson two months ago that that
had invalidated Seranno's inactive status and he was
no longer eligible to be in the Hall of fame. At this
Adrian Lynch came out to bring back someone else who
he stated should be a hall of famer. And that some one
was ...

Adrian Lynch and Derrick St. Holmes def. Kevin Krueger
and Matt Longtime
Bringing back a little classic action, the Love
machine and God's Gift to Women brought the fire to
shut the mouths of the pompus St. Holmes and Lynch.
But, as most Lynch action does, things turned south
and a handful of tights later Krueger and Longtime
were on the losing end of the match.

J-Cash, Dysfunction, Esteban Molina, and Jason Jerry
def. Jason Dukes, Shane Hills, Arya Daivari, and Ben
Johnson
The battle for the company finally got underway. With
this summary becoming too long as it is, the last four
competitors were Johnson, Jason Jerry, J-Cash, and
Arya Daivari. Eliminated earlier by DQ, Shane Hills
came back from the lockerroom to cause havoc. With the
Good Book in hand Hills jumped on the apron and
clocked Daivari. In the confusion Davari takes the
CashFlo and a pinfall. On the otherside of the ring,
Johnson was coming back on Jason after taking a spear
and several shots from the furious fists of Jason
Jerry. A big splash (shirtless, ugh) from Johnson
missed and Cash put the Reverend in half of an STF.
Jason Jerry then crawled over and applied a crossface
choke. Instead of letting him tap out, Jason called
for the microphone and made Johnson say "I Quit" over
the house PA.

After the match Jason said that Johnson was a
kneiving, back-stabbing, two faced son of a lady puppy
dog. And all of those traits would make him a great
wrestling promoter. Jerry then stated that Johnson
would be in charge of the NEW ACW next month at Baba
Louies! And that the Living Legend Larry Zbysko would
be there! Keep checking back on the message boards for
more on what will happen in ACW!!!!

NWA Central States

Well May 12th 2007 was the celebration of 3 years of
unbelievable events for CSW. If you missed the show
then you missed something special as the card was up
there with the best of them and the action was off the
charts!

For those unable to make it here is a rundown of the
action.

Shorty Biggs over Jake King in a Trial By Fire match

The Trial By Fire matches continue in CSW and continue
to bring more and more talent taking a shot at a spot
on the roster. Great match by these two guys which I
think we will be seeing more of in the future.

Sonny Myers tribute

Great tribute to one of the legends in the Central
States area. The tribute started out with the whole
CSW roster coming out to ring side, some words by
Kraig Keesman, and then the ringing of the bell for a
10 count salute. Very touching moment.

Dingo(c) over Tony Morales and Jeremy Wyatt

Dingo successfully defended his NWA Kansas title in a
match that was full of action including Wyatt
suplexing on opponent while applying a ddt to the
other. Some incredible action.

Mark Sterling destroyed Corwin Star

Sterling was obviously still very very upset with the
loss of his title last month to Dingo and he took it
out on Star 100% by destroying him! After the match
while standing on top of Corwin, Sterling made the
challenge to Dingo to battle it out in a cage at the
next show.

Domino Rivera defeated Mason Hunter

This match started out with Derek Stone coming to the
ring to announce Domino’s opponent for the night would
be none other the CSW Hall of Famer Mason Hunter! You
could tell Mason wanted to defeat Rivera as his last
match before he left was at the hand of Domino. In the
end though Domino was able to grab the win. Let’s hope
we see Mason back in the near future!

Hype Gotti and Tyler Cook over #1 Brett Young and Wade
Chism by DQ.

This match was going great until Jeremy Wyatt decided
to enter the ring from the back and help Young and
Chism beat Gotti and Cook down. Something tells me
this was not the end of this battle.

Darrien Sanders over Kraig Keesman in the TLC match.

This match was just brutal! There were tables,
ladders, and chairs being destroyed all over ringside.
After the match Darrien tried to shake hands with
Keesman who decided instead to give Sanders and the
fans the double bird.

Michael Strider successfully defended the NWA Central
States title against Tracy Smothers

This match will go down as one of those classic CSW
matches everyone talks about. It had everything! Tracy
Smothers also let it be known that he is not a fan of
Lawrence, KS or Central States Wrestling. Smothers had
Strider bloodied and beaten taking him from one side
of the arena to the other but in Strider fashion he
was able to overcome it all and defeat Smothers while
retaining the NWA Central States Heavyweight Title.

Senshi defeated Steve Fender

This was a match of chops, kicks, and holds. Fender
and Senshi battled out in the main event and really put on
a great match. In the end Senshi was able to take the
upper hand and defeat fender with a ghetto stomp. Two of the wrestlers associated with the real ECW that remained in WWECW were released this past week. It's certainly true that neither one was happy, and McMahon decided to release Van Dam (but keep him from wrestling in TNA until his contract actually expires) rather than job him out over the next month until One Night Stand...which had been his scheduled windup date. By the way, for anyone who missed it, One Night Stand isn't even a ECW PPV anymore.

The Major Brothers... Snitsky...Bobby Lashley...yup, they're extreme, all right.

Now, since this column and the PWBTS.com website have always believed in helping indies, I'm asking readers to help out IWA Mid-South Wrestling to resolve a legal situation.

To explain, here's the item sent out to websites last Saturday:

As many of you may know, we had the 2004 KOTDM tournament in Oolitic, Indiana. After that show, we were no longer allowed in that building because they said they had to have the floor re-done due to us ruining the floor. After going to court over this the last couple of years, the decision came down today that we had 30 days to pay the damages for the floor.

You may ask why this took so long to settle. The building tried to get our insurance company to pay to re-do the floor and they wanted proof that we were the ones who had actually damaged it. Or if it was a small spot (thats what they claimed we did) why the whole gym floor had to be refinished. Of course, the building couldn't give them the proof because other people had used the building after us. The insurance company denied the claim twice. After the insurance company denied the claims, the city board of directors chose to sue Ian personally (eventually gaining a judgment against him). Today he had a summons to appear in court under the terms since he hadn't paid the judgment, that they would start to garnish Ian's wages.

Ian tried to set up a payment plan, but was told that this had been on going for too long and he would have to make payment within 30 days, or a garnishment would began. So I thought I would explain to the judge and the attorneys how the wrestling business is a mostly cash business and that would be almost impossible to do. To Ian's surprise, he was told that it would be perfectly legal for them to come in to any shows in the state of Indiana with sheriffs, and take all monies associated with the show.

We are not asking you to give us money, but we do have PLENTY of merchandise around here for sale. So we are going to have a sale on all merchandise we have.

The sale will be on hoodies, T-shirts, and DVDs in hopes of trying to put this issue to rest. Because if Ian can't put this thing to rest, it could really screw up King Of The Death Matches. We now have a 9 disc dvd burner and can be shipping your order to you within 2-3 days.

The dvd sale will be (along with the one we currently have) for the people who don't have $70- $80 to spend on the sale currently going on. Buy 2 --get one free of equal value. And of course if you don't want to pay for shipping you can pick them up at shows. If you order in time, you can pick them up as early as Candido Cup. For those of you who might have the money , you can do the buy 2 --get 1 free up to 5 times. So you would buy 10 DVDs get 5 free (TPIs & KOTDMs count as 2.)

Hoodies we have very limited quantity. We have 9 XL and 9 2XL. The XL will be $25 and the 2X will be $30.

The 2006 TPI shirts will be $8.00 (all sizes) which we have XL, 2X, and 3X. I will be looking to see if we have any other sizes and I will post on here if we do.

For a full listing of tshirts with pictures, go to this link

Thanks for your help with this. Ian knows he will probably take some bashing for this. But right now with everything that is going on, Ian only sees one direction to turn and that is to our great fans.

For those of you that support this sale, Ian says he cannot thank you enough. He hopes to see everybody next weekend at the Candido Cup.

We will accept paypal, checks, and money orders. You may email Patti at rottenwife@aol.com rottenwife@aol.com and let Patti know which you would choose to do.

Also, we will have all merchandise available for this sale at our upcoming events so you can also purchase them there with money or credit card. Thank you again for your on going support.

TNA now has a mascot called Stomper. Depending on reports, it has been described as a kangaroo, a rabbit, or even a rat. With any luck fans will get to see Rob Van Dam stuck in this nonsense. Or will Hector Guerrero have to reprise his Gobbledygooker embarasment?

Speaking of embarassing, several major indies are considering eliminating the use of TNA talent; because TNA (in the word of a staffer from one of these indies) is beginning to put too much on the indies on how these guys have to be used. This will have the effect of taking away even more independent bookings from TNA wrestlers. Explain that one away, TNArollz.

Speaking of them, here's our first letter, from Haseeb Bajwa:

"I think Bob and all wrestling fans need to wake up. TNA and wrestling does not owe us nothing. They give us entertainment and we watch it. If we wanted TNA to follow our rules then what’s entertaining in that. Bob you have to wake up and see things from another point of view, Shark Boy copying Stone cold was awesome, Jay lethal copying Macho Man at the time was very funny."

This IS one of the TNA staff e-mailing me using a sock puppet, right?

"My random wrestling friend said the Sting/Abyss Casket Match was very good. I a fan for 18 years thought that match was very well done for what it had been given and Sting taking a awesome blow to the head brought the match alive. As I say why complain about a wrestler, if people (you) think you can do better get in the ring your self."

This has GOT to be a sock puppet. Go back to last week's column...never mind, I'll say it again for you... I don't need to be an Escoffier Chef to know if food tastes like crap. I don't need to be a line worker at a Saturn plant to know if my car doesn't run. I don't need to be Steven Spielberg to know that The Condemned isn't Godfather II.

"As people have been saying you talk a lot of smack but we never hear about your story line ideas.

Dixie Carter isn't even using the talent within her own promotion. Ever hear of a guy called Jim Cornette? Call me back when they've tried some of his ideas.

"Wake up TNA Sacrifice '07 was bloody awesome compared to WWE Backlash'07. I cant believe you cant see that Impact is so much better then WWE product and that includes RAW which is stale and average most of the time. Also Wrestlers have a brain to go to WWE, TNA, ROH and they choose where they want there food to come from, not you, not your way of manipulating readers by saying don’t watch TNA until Russo is fired. How sad."

Yawn...they AREN'T choosing to remain there. They're kept there by promises that are broken...promises they can work TNA as well as other indies. Then those promises are broken by TNA. It's now getting to the point, as I mentioned above, that some of the remaining indies using TNA talent are re-considering using these workers, because TNA is putting all kinds of conditions on how they can be used, who they can work, and what kind of finishes can take place.

Tell me where the food of TNA wrestlers will come from then, when they lose bookings from major indies.

> From Andrew Larson :

"I love seeing all the emails you get from idiots who A) can't spell check, and B) don't know what they are talking about.

I have never seen an ROH show and just from reading recaps, I can tell they are a better wrestling promotion then others. WWE is just WWE, they won't change, they'll keep the title on Cena until a certain someone comes back, and I'm sick of seeing the same ol' shit come up on there programming.

I preceded your e-mail with one of them, Andrew. As for WWE, it was pretty bad when the RAW two weeks ago featured a sign "Save us, HHH".

"TNA was something refreshing but it has become oversaturated with nonsense weeding out some of those who have been there since day one. (The Naturals, Team Canada, Roderick Strong, suspension of Aries...)"

TNA wouldn't want one of these most talented independent workers anywhere working for them, would they?

> From Jeremy Diaz :

"I'm an old friend of Adam Martin's and have been following Wrestleview close since 2001 and you have been around as long as I can remember. I just wanted to write you in regards to your opinions on TNA and the indy situations and I just wanted to let you know that I fully agree with everything you have been saying. TNA is shooting itself in the foot right now, and at the same time screwing over the talent which could make them that next big company.

They continue to sign WWE cast-offs and try to portray them at these great characters when in reality they are simply over the hill losers. They continue to try and "one up WWE" when they are nowhere near WWE's league. Hell, Ring of Honor is more credible of a contender to WWE than TNA and they don't even have a television deal. But that's another story for another time. The issue here is that TNA relies too much on cast off talent to get them where they are trying to go rather than relying on the guys who have gotten them to where they are."

TNA tries to be WWE when, like him or not, Vince McMahon is the only one who has proven the ability to be that. Yes, he's the McDonald's of wrestling...not very good for you..and craeted to a very general taste. If you want good wrestling, look at Ring of Honor. I guess in my analogy, they'd be the equivalent of a gourmet restaurant.

So much for our dreams. The reality is that in terms of business success, ROH isn't competition to WWE, nor will that happen now or at any time in the foresseable future. Gabe Sapolsky and Cary Silkin will be the first people to tell you that. In terms of QUALITY, that's a different matter. product you prefer.

"AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Senshi, Chris Sabin, Jay Lethal, etc have taken the back seat to Kurt Angle, Scott Steiner, Christian Cage, and Team 3-D. In my opinion, Team 3-D should have never won the titles, Scott Steiner should have never been signed (as well as Tomko), and Christian Cage shouldn't have gone higher than the X Division. Kurt Angle is the only positive addition to TNA that I see, but we're getting feuds and ppv main events that we've already seen and did not like on Smackdown."

Because they're bound and determined to be WWE Lite, just like WCW did. If they hadn't self-destructed from the self-indulgence, "creative control" and the other crap...they might have continued to present a challenge to WWF/E.

"It's simply frustrating as a fan because TNA needs to succeed in order for wrestling to succeed. They really need to get their act together and turn things around and start putting the focus on the future rather than the past. If they are going to have these rejects, at least use them to put over other talent. Chris Daniels should be feuding with Sting, Angle with Samoa Joe or AJ Styles, Cage with [LowKi] or Jay Lethal and Steiner with Abyss or someone.

Instead we are subjected to one big gaggle f*&k of these losers being pitted against each other! There is just so much to say and so much to argue about and I just wanted to send you an email of support in letting you know that I agree with what you're saying and I hope that someone from TNA reads your messages and smartens up. I pray and hope for the best to come out of what you are saying in each and every column because the changes you have voiced do need to come about.

They read them. They aren't smartening up. Pulling talent from independent promotions like PWG is taking yet another step backwards. Wonder if they know which independent promotions ar considering dropping the use of their talent. I know of at least two whose staff have e-mailed me.

"I also just had to show some support to a fellow Democrat."

Hee hee, thanks. Now hopefully a change or two along the lines of what we hope for in that more important area of life can happen in 2008.

Until next time...

If you'd like to add advertising on PWBTS.com (the flagship website of this column), banner ads are available for $400 for one year/$200 for six months. Scorpio gave hands on instruction, building on each participants’ strengths, while working on their unique challenges. A true professional, Scorpio shared his wealth of experience with each individual. Of course, we would see more of Scorpio on Saturday night.

*In a Team P.I.T. match, ”The Complete” Pete Hunter pinned Aramis under the watchful eye of “The REAL Pitbull” Gary Wolf, after Aramis was distracted by a run-in from former PWU employee, KJ Hellfire.

XFC Wrestling Academy head trainer Gary Wolf has taken Aramis and Hunter under his wing with his "Physically Intense Training". Hunter’s power and Aramis’ quickness lead for a great match, until former employee KJ Hellfire jumped the guardrail. Hellfire grabbed the mic saying since he’s not employed by PWU, he should be voted PWU Commissioner. Distracted by Security removing KJ, Hunter used a backslide on Aramis to get the pin. Both men shook hands after the match as a sign of respect.

* PWU Women’s champion Amy Lee and Sara Del Ray (w/ Doctor Don Bootz) defeated Annie Social and April Hunter, but Lee pushed around Del Ray after the match.

Before the match, Annie Social stormed the ring to attack Amy Lee. Hunter pulled off Annie, but Lee wanted no part of April and tagged in Del Ray. After Del Ray was punished by Hunter, Amy Lee refused to tag in. Del Ray snuck in a blind tag. Social tagged in to get a piece of Amy Lee but was stopped when trying to power Lee until she reversed a double team attempt from Del Ray and Lee and hit a big double clothesline. All four women enter the ring, but when Annie tried a sunset flip, Lee used he size to squash Social for the pin. After the match, Lee said she didn’t need any help and slapped Del Ray before running off with the Mad Doctor.

* Lucky showed a new attitude, using the ropes for added leverage to pin Drew Blood.

Both men appeared even after a high flying and technical flurry until Lucky slapped Blood across the face. Drew regained the advantage, even connecting with an Arabian Press on the outside. Blood hit a series of flying kicks and stiff shots, but was met with a brutal kick to the face by Lucky. Lucky used dirty tactics, but Blood hit a brutal Reverse Snapmare Driver. After hitting Lucky with a Shining Wizard in the corner, Drew missed a top rope senton. Lucky rolled Blood up for the pin, but uses the ropes for leverage.

* Johnny Kashmere (w/ “Discount” Dewey Donovan) defeated Zach McGuire after throwing powder in McGuire’s eyes and connecting with The Cradlebreaker

Kashmere started in on the crowd saying they discriminated against him because he's not handicapped like his opponent, the deaf high flyer Zach McGuire. Johnny tried to play games with McGuire, grabbing the mic and pretending to talk. But McGuire is deaf, not stupid. McGuire took control with his Lucha and hit a moonsault to the outside on Kashmere and Donovan. After some amazing high flying from McGuire, Kashmere hits a mid-air spear. Johnny went into a bag he carried to the ring. Kashmere pulls out a Bat-a-rang, but misses! The ref sees Kashmere with another object and while trying to block him, Johnny throws powder behind the ref’s back into McGuire’s face. Kashmere connects with The Cradlebreaker for the pin.

* John House’s “House of Unplugged” re-introduced JC Ryder to PWU, but in an open challenge, was defeated by the returning Detox!

JC Ryder plugs New Jersey as the place he pumps his fists, not his own gas and issues an open challenge. What appeared to be an elderly man came from behind and pinned Ryder. As House tried to find out who it is, the man pulled latex make-up off his face to show he is actually Detox! Detox lays out John House! Detox is back in Pro Wrestling Unplugged!

* In a violent Anything Goes Street Fight, PWU Tag champions All Money Is Legal defeat The SAT.

In revenge from an attack last month, AMIL battled The SAT as they walked down the entrance way. The SAT regained control and was vicious in their assault. The SATs used chairs, tables, and the guard rails to try and take out AMIL. Joel positioned Pusha for a Superplex onto a piece of broken table, but Pusha hit a Facebuster from the top. Murda hits a Spicolli Driver through the table section on Jose. AMIL wins back some of their Pride. The SAT DDTs one security member from the apron and sends another through a table. Jose tries to tell Philadelphia what he thinks, but Joel tells him “these people don’t deserve to hear us in English”.

* The Thomasellis (Sal, Vito, and Brandon) beat Teddy Fine, TJ Cannon, and Bruce Maxwell. After the match, Cannon and Maxwell attack Fine.

Fast paced action between Sal and Vito against the debuting Maxwell and Cannon start the match. After a spinning suplex, Maxwell tagged in Teddy. Fine fended off an assault from all three Thomasellis. TJ hit a tope to the outside, followed by Maxwell with a dive. But Fine was stopped with a doubleteam flapjack. The Thomasellis doubleteam their opponents until TJ hits an Asai moonsault and tags Fine in, taking out The Thomasellis. But as all six enter the ring, the Thomaselli’s dump TJ & Bruce on their heads and finish off Fine for the pin. After The Thomasellis leave the ring celebrating, Fine, Cannon, and Maxwell help each other up, just for TJ and Bruce to turn on Fine! After a 450 and a double stomp, Drew Blood makes the save.

* Tod Gordon talks Crazy 8 - Joey Matthews, 2 Cold Scorpio, Eddie Kingston, Sunny, and The Nasty Boys will be in action on 6/16. Gordon also introduces the crowd to some of the PWU Idol contestants.

Gordon shares the news so far on The Crazy 8 - Joey Matthews, 2 Cold Scorpio, Eddie Kingston, Sunny, and The Nasty Boys will be on hand Saturday, June 16 for the biggest event in wrestling today and at the Crazy Tailg8 Party before the event!

Tod calls some of the PWU Commissioner Idol contestants to the ring, including Mike Sanz, Cyrus Phoenix from Chicago, and the well-liked, well-endowed Kitty among them.

* 2 Cold Scorpio, former PWU Heavyweight champion, pins Z-Barr after a moonsault leg drop.

The packed New Alhambra Arena welcomed back the returning legend with a standing ovation. Despite pre-match disrespect from Z-Barr, the match started respectable with true catch as catch can wrestling at its best. Z-Barr finally connects a strong style forearm, but it just spurns Scorpio on, hitting a big dropkick on Barr, sending him to the floor. The two trade stiff shots back and forth, but Z-Barr slams 2 Cold to the mat. The two trade more shots until Scorpio hits a Hurricanrana to the outside. Z-Barr uses a chair and the guardrail, but Scorpio fights back, even kicking out from a reverse DDT. They went back and forth until Scorpio hits his trademark moonsault legdrop.

* Joker was pinned by Adam Flash, despite Flash tapping while in Joker’s triangle choke

Both these two have been engaged in intense battles in recent months at PWU and want to take out their frustrations. Starting at a lightning pace, Joker sent Flash outside with a dropkick. But after going for a suicide dive, Adam Flash hit a big forearm. Flash uses every cheap tactic to gain an advantage. Joker finally stopped Flash after some stiff headbutts, then a series of suplexes. Flash reversed with an enzuigiri, but when going for a clothesline, Joker rolled him into a triangle choke. Flash rolled Joker into a three count, but Flash began tapping at the 3.

* PWU World Heavyweight champion Devon Moore vs. Trent Acid went to a no contest after interference from Johnny Kashmere, Dewey Donovan, and Detox. Gordon announces the Crazy 8 match will be The Backseat Boyz vs. Devon Moore and Detox.

Trent was accompanied by Johnny Kashmere and “Discount” Dewey Donovan. But Moore was gunning right for Acid, with the intent to beat the hell out of him. The crowd was on their feet. Acid tried to escape, but Moore threw him back to the ring. This was just a brawl. Acid is finally sent to the outside by Moore. After battling in-ring, Moore knocked Trent out again, then hit a big splash to the outside. Trent fights back to hit a powerbomb on the outside. Below is all of the information on the card.

If you don't have your SHIMMER tickets yet for the Title Tournament double shot weekend (6/1 & 6/2), we'll have them available at intermission tonight in Berwyn!

AAW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE- 2 OUT OF 3 FALLS

MAREK BRAVE(c)
vs
JERRY LYNN

Since winning the AAW title in November of last year Marek Brave has been without a doubt the most fighting champion in the company's history. Brave has defended the belt across the midwest in recent months and continues to add prestige to the title. Last month Jerry Lynn challenged Brave to a 2 out of 3 falls match to see who the better man truly is after their previous encounters have been marred with interference and controversy. After narrowly pulling off a win against Jay Ryan in April, Marek Brave has accepted the challenge and if he can defeat a star the caliber of Jerry Lynn twice in one night it will most definitely be the defining moment of his AAW career. These two men have been in the ring before and this may be one of the most closely contested title matches in AAW history.

6 MAN TAG

ERIC PRIEST, RYAN BOZ and DAN LAWRENCE
vs
DP ASSOCIATES- BERWYN BRANCH
BJ WHITMER, TRIK DAVIS and CONRAD KENNEDY III w/ Dave Prazak

Former tag team champs Boz and Lawrence team with the current Heritage champ Eric Priest to take on one of the most dangerous stables AAW has ever seen. Boz and the "Party Danimal" have had their problems with Trik and CK3 in recent months and after Priest and BJ Whitmer locked horns last month DP assocites triple teamed "The Gold Standard". Priest has made it clear he doesn't need any friends in the lockeroom to have his back but he shares a common enemy with Boz and Lawrence as they all want to get their hands on Dave Prazak's trio in the worst way.

CHRISTIAN YORK MAKES HIS AAW DEBUT

York makes his return to the Chicagoland area for the first time in years and has an open contract for this Saturday's event. Who will step up and challenge the former ECW star?

NO DQ- GRUDGE MATCH

JAYSON REIGN
vs
CHANDLER McCLURE w/ Jim Jesus and Ms. Mattano

Jayson Reign has been waiting for months to get his hands on JJ Inc's Chandler McClure. There's no where to run now as the arrogant youngster must face Reign in a no DQ anything goes match up. Reign is sick and tired of McClure trying to make a name for himself at his expense and has promised to show the AAW fans a side of himself rarely seen. This will be an intense match up where two men mostly known for their technical wrestling skills will fight it out and try to get a win by any means neccesary.

TAG TEAM CONTENDER'S MATCH

THE MICHIGAN INVASION
TRUTH MARTINI and N8 MATTSON
vs
BRYCE BENJAMIN and SHANE HOLLISTER

The MII was stunned last month when they dropped the tag titles to the unlikely duo of Zach Gowen and Krotch. Hollister and Benjamin are in the middle of a heated rivalry with the Phoenix Twins and Joey Eastman. Neither of these teams are in the best of moods and both need a win to get back on the tag team title hunt.

6 MAN TAG

DEREK St HOLMES, "KILLER" KRIS HYBRID and BONEBREAKER BROOKS
vs
"GRINGO LOCO" TYME PAIGE, CHARLIE MANSON Jr. and TONY RICAN

St. Holmes leads his new students into battle against the lucha specialsts Paige and Manson Jr with their partner Tony Rican. This is a very exciting, and somewhat stressful time for all of us at ROH, as well as everyone at SHIMMER. Both companies are in the midst of their own stages of growth, with ROH moving to PPV and SHIMMER holding its first double shot weekend of live events coming up on 6/1 & 6/2 in Berwyn, as well as our first live show in Florida on 7/1.

There's some positive news and some negative news regarding SHIMMER DVD production at the moment. The negative news is that, with all of the hours we're putting into working on the ROH PPV edit, as well as several ROH DVDs shot during the month of April, I'm not going to be able to sign off on the final edit of the Volume 8 DVD in time for us to have copies on the merch table on 6/1 & 6/2. I'm very picky about the editing of our DVD series, and I didn't want to rush Volume 8 through without screening the final version myself first and making any final changes. As much as I would've loved to have 8 on the table tourney weekend (we could use the merchandise money!), it just wasn't in the cards with everything we have on our plate at the moment.

Since we get actual DVDs pressed (they're not just DVD-Rs we can burn immediately), there's approximately a two week process as far as getting our order completed, plus the time it takes to ship the boxes of DVDs after they are done being made. It's looking like we'll just barely miss the tourney weekend, and Volume 8 should be available the following weekend through ROH.

On the positive side of things, we now have a separate editor that will be focusing on the SHIMMER DVD series for us. Up until now, the ROH, FIP, and SHIMMER DVD editing has been done by one individual, and obviously the ROH shows take priority over its sister companies. A big part of why SHIMMER and FIP DVD titles have been released several months after they were filmed is because the ROH workload has been so huge that it left little time to get SHIMMER and FIP projects completed. Now that we have our own editor, the SHIMMER titles will be able to be edited and released basically at our discretion.

As soon as we complete "Respect Is Earned," I'll be able to sign off on Volume 8 and get that sent off for the DVDs to be made. We'll be working on the Long Island and Edison ROH DVDs on Thursday night, and I fly back to Chicago on Friday. This Saturday, I'll be at the AAW event in Berywn at the Eagles Club (and for those interested, I will have General Admission ticket packages available at intermission at the AAW show).

Early next week, Volume 9 will begin production. Next weekend, we're back here in Tampa for two FIP events, plus production on ROH's St. Paul and Chicago DVDs. That following Monday, Danger arrives in Florida and we put the finishing touches on the edit of Volume 9 and fly out Tuesday morning. The plan is to send off Volume 9 to be made as soon as the edit is complete. Some final local promotional work in Chicago will occupy the days that follow, until Friday and Saturday in Berwyn for the title tournament.

As you can tell, it's a very busy few weeks for us, and we have a ton to get accomplished during that time period... but we're doing our best to keep giving you a product you can be proud to support.

All of the tournament participants are set for their travel and are ready to head to Chicago for 6/1 & 6/2. Additionally, several other wrestlers will be involved in non-tournament matches during the course of the weekend, including some unexpected new faces appearing for us for the very first time.

For those wondering (and I know you're going to hate me for this), we're not going to be announcing the tournament participants or bracketing officially before 6/1 arrives. As we all learned through Jazz's family emergency last taping, things do happen that wind up changing the card at the last minute, and with over 20 wrestlers all traveling to Chicago that weekend, if we are forced to make any last minute changes to the bracketing and such, we need to have that flexibility to do so on the day of the show.

For the Volumes 9 & 10 taping, you showed such faith in our product that with only one announced match, we were able to sell out the Eagles Club for the live event. Tickets for the title tourney weekend are moving just as fast with no matches announced this time, and we're very appreciative of your confidence in us to deliver.

Look for a brand new SHIMMERwrestling.com web site to launch during the next few days, and if you don't have your tickets for the title tournament weekend yet and plan on attending live, make sure you get them while they're still available. Thanks everybody!

dp

GET FREE GLOSSY SHIMMER FLYERS BY MAIL!
----------------------------------------------------------

Much like we did before the Vols. 9 & 10 taping, we're sending out FREE full color glossy double sided flyer cards to everyone who is on the SHIMMER snail mail mailing list. If you received the mailing from the last taping, that means we have your address, you're already on our mailing list, and you will also receive this mailing. Yes, this offer is also open to SHIMMER fans that live outside of the United States.

If you have yet to send us your snail mail address, and would like to be added to the mailing list to get the free flyers, just E-mail your full name and address to us at shimmernews@yahoo.com and we'll get them out to you right away!

Also, if any of you are in the Chicagoland area and would like to help us spread the word locally about the Vols. 11 & 12 tapings by distributing a large amount of flyers in your area, please E-mail us and let us know, and we'll hook you up with tons of flyers if you think you can get 'em all distributed.

Wojcik of http://alanwojcik.com if posted, thanks.

Matt Cross (formerly M-Dogg 20)
Height: 5’6”
Weight: 181
Hometown: Cleveland, OH
Pro Debut: August, 2001
Website/Myspace: www.MDogg20.com or www.myspace.com/dontcomehomebleeding
Tournament history: Winner of the 2007 ROE Wachau Wrestling Trophy Tournament in Vienna, Austria, NWA Upstate Tag Team tournament (September 2005), 2006 Ted Petty Invitational (lost in 2nd round to El Generico), 2006 PWG Battle of Los Angeles (lost in opening round to CIMA) 2004 Ted Petty Invitational, 2002 CZW Best of the Best Tournament, PWG Tango and Cash Tag Team Invitational, etc.
Where you have seen him: XPW, IWA-MS, CZW, Big Japan Pro Wrestling, PWG, CAPW, UWA (Canada), UIPW, JAPW, Ring of Honor (member of Resilience with Erick Stevens and formerly Austin Aries), UWF (Hermie Sadler), Wrestling Society X (w/Teddy Hart in Filth & the Fury), and MLW to name a few
Championships held: IWA Mid South Heavyweight title, XPW tag team titles (w/Josh Prohibition), Union of Independent Professional Wrestlers Heavyweight title, Cleveland All Pro Wrestling (CAPW) Tag Team titles (w/John Prohibition); CAPW Jr. Heavyweight title, UWA Hardcore Wrestling Canadian title; NWA Upstate Tag Team (w/Josh Prohibition)

Alan J. Wojcik: What does being part of the 2007 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup mean to you and did you know of Jeff before you were an entrant?

Matt Cross: I never got the opportunity to meet Mr. Peterson but I'm honored to compete in a tournament bearing his name. I think it's very special that his memory has been kept alive by such a prestigious tournament

Alan J. Wojcik: There is an X factor in this year’s event and it is the presence of Allison Danger as a competitor. If matched up with her how do you prepare for her, I mean do you wrestle her like any other competitor?

Matt Cross: As a professional wrestler you have to be prepared for anything. You'll face people with different styles, weights, strengths, languages, cultures, etc. I had the chance to meet up with Allison in France last month and she is truly a warrior in the ring. I think her presence will help the tournament remain unique.

Alan J. Wojcik: Including Allison Danger, which of the announced competitors would you like to face in the opening round and why? (Announced are Nooie Lee, Allison Danger, Sideshow, Chris Hero, Erick Stevens, “Unreal” Michael Elgin, Krazy K, T Mack, YOU, Kenny King, Sal Rinauro, Seth Delay, Billy Roc, Adam Flash, and Trik Davis)

Matt Cross: I'm ready for anyone.......except for Hulk Hogan. I've been watching him for years and nobody seems to kick out of that legdrop.........I fear it. I hope he's not a last minute entrant.

Alan J. Wojcik: For fans that might be confused when did M-Dogg 20 become Matt Cross and what led to the change in persona?

Matt Cross: I'm still MDogg20 but I just prefer to go by my real name now. MDogg20 is more of a nickname. I decided to favor Matt Cross because I felt that I had improved as a professional wrestler and wanted people to give me a fresh chance with less assumptions. The MDogg20 name is closely tied with my early years and the video games I was featured in. I wanted people to see me as a sound technical wrestler with a body to back up his ability that was still able to pull off some of the most impressive high-flying moves in the world.

Alan J. Wojcik: Doing the research for this interview it showed you as partner to and an opponent to Josh Prohibition. Is that a personal choice or the promotions and how does Josh rate as partner/opponent?

Matt Cross: Josh and I got into the wrestling business together and have been through all the twists, turns, controversy, and craziness that accompany it. We've always had a great competitive rivalry. At times it suits us to put our differences aside and team up for a greater gain. I respect his abilities and he has a great wrestling mind.

Alan J. Wojcik: If fans tuned into MTV’s Wrestling Society X they saw you team with the always controversial Teddy Hart. What was the MTV experience like and how was Teddy compared to other partners in your career like Josh Prohibition?

Matt Cross: Teddy is a character and always entertaining. Shooting WSX for MTV was an incredible experience. We got to stay in an awesome hotel in Hollywood and live like rockstars for a week. I learned a lot and it was very surreal at times. I remember filming the main event of the season finale and checking my phone right before the match started to see what time it was. It was an exploding cage, time-bomb deathmatch and it was 2am on a Thursday night. I remember thinking about all my friends and family and how they were most likely fast asleep getting ready for another work day. I sat there questioning what choices and decisions I had made in life that had lead me to enter a cage rigged with explosives in the middle of a weekday night.

Alan J. Wojcik: Your bio online shows you and Josh wrestled once for the infamous XPW. Did you feel like WSX was trying to combine XPW and ECW in their product with the backyard craze?

Matt Cross: I feel like WSX was trying to create a truly unique, contemporary, professional wrestling product like nothing ever seen before. The set, in-ring product, and gimmicks really had their finger on the pulse of today's youth and the product was fresh and innovative.

Alan J. Wojcik: In the past few months you have wrestled for both Pro Wrestling Guerilla and Ring of Honor. For fans that might not be able to buy their DVD’s, is there any way to compare them head on?

Matt Cross: I've been with PWG on and off since the very beginning even competing against Super Dragon on the promotions very first show years ago. I always have a lot of fun working PWG. Competing full-time for ROH took me years to accomplish and I'm very happy to be working with them now. It's a great time for ROH because we just did our first PPV taping and everyone is extremely excited to get the attention we deserve.

Alan J. Wojcik: While researching other JPC entries the Cleveland All Pro Wrestling promotion has come up just like in your background. What is the Cleveland wrestling scene like?

Matt Cross: Cleveland All Pro Wrestling celebrates their 14 year anniversary this coming July. Not many, if any, promotions can say they have been consistently running shows for 14 years. Not even WCW or ECW can lay a claim like that which really says a lot. I had my JPC qualifying match with CAPW which was special to me since it's been my home promotion since starting some 6 years ago.

Alan J. Wojcik: If things happen in the right circumstances you might end up facing your ROH-Resilience partner Erick Stevens. Is this something you look forward to and if so, do you face Erick like any of the other competitors?

Matt Cross: Erick and I are really coming together as a cohesive unit. We have to in order to compete with the No Remorse Corp. of Roderick Strong, Davey Richards, and Rocky Romero. Taking them down is our most important goal at the moment. That being said, I'd have no problem testing myself against him and seeing how skilled the man who I've put my trust in is. This potential match-up is just one of the many reasons I urge fans to make it to this years JPC tournament. Be sure to check me out at www.dontcomehomebleeding.com and stay up to date with all my appearances, crazy pics, merch, and random thoughts. I look forward to seeing everyone in July at the JPC!
We've got talent from CMLL and LAW in Mexico, from IWS and ISW in Canada, from Kageki Pro in Japan and from Kaiju Big Battel...and wherever the heck they are from. So far, we've already confirmed these nine bouts for the card:

~KINGS OF WRESTLING - CIVIL WAR~
Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli & Larry Sweeney
vs.
F.I.S.T. Their brief encounter ended in tears, although whose tears were shed, we cannot say. What we can tell you is this - together, the CHIKARA Commissioner and the shadowy figure known as the Kaiju Big Battel Commissioner have come to an agreement. On Sunday, May 27th, the earth-shattering beasts of Kaiju will be coming to the ECW Arena with a mind for large scale property damage and destruction. By official decree of both promotions, Dr. Cube himself must be on hand. We will have all the official details announced by Friday.

If you're coming out to see us Aniversario weekend, save up your pennies! Doors open at 2 p.m. for our belltime of 3 p.m. This WILL be a taping for CAPW TV on Sports Time Ohio, so bring your signs, banners, and enthusiasm, and be prepared to have your image available in nearly 3 million homes in the state of Ohio, and nationwide on select systems. Tickets are available in advance at any of our ticket outlets, and also at the door the afternoon of the event. Get ready for three solid hours of the best professional wrestling in the area: Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling.

Just added to the card this week:

CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Title Match: Super Hentai vs. Shiima Xion
Super Hentai solidified his CAPW singles career at our last live event when he defeated Zach Gowen to capture his first singles gold in Cleveland, adding this accomplishment to an extensive list of other titles he’s captured around the world. However, Hentai finds himself the central focus of an extremely competitive division. The first of many deserving challengers is “The Future of Fashion” Shiima Xion, who certainly goes back a long way with Hentai. Not only were Hentai & Shiima a short-lived tag team combination here in CAPW before choosing to pursue careers in the singles ranks, but Hentai also was instrumental in Shiima Xion’s training to become a professional wrestler some years back. It’s a case of teacher vs. student on June 3 as Xion attempts to surpass his former mentor and become Jr. Heavyweight champion.

Grudge Match: JT Lightning vs. Marion Fontaine
JT Lightning & Da Munchies have spent the past several months claiming to be the “World Six-Man Tag Team Champions” despite the fact that particular title has been defunct for the past several years. To prove their point, they’ve presented a series of trophies, medals, and alleged accomplishments that are irrational and impossible to say the least. While you often can’t take what comes out of these men’s mouths seriously, one thing that must always be taken seriously is their ability and track record inside the ring. Marion Fontaine learned that lesson the hard way, as JT & Da Munchies absolutely obliterated him with countless knife-edge chops, turning Fontaine’s chest several different shades of red and purple. A rematch has been signed, but will the “Mega Star” be able to fend off JT’s uncontrolled aggression or will one-third of the mythical tag team champions make another statement?

Da Munchies vs. Shawn Blaze & Ponyboy TJ Dynamite
Da Munchies, Dick Trimmins & Too Cool Abdul, were also very instrumental in the massacre laid into Marion Fontaine, and Fontaine’s partners in Mega Sexy, “Simply Sexy” Shawn Blaze, and the team’s newest recruit Ponyboy TJ Dynamite certainly have not forgotten it. Blaze & Dynamite attempt to extract revenge for their partner in this tag team encounter. Four men who certainly are not well-liked by CAPW fans, but have quite a bit to fight for as far as pride is concerned.

Jessica Havok’s Open Challenge
In just a short time, Jessica Havok has already proven herself to be the most dominant physically imposing female to ever enter CAPW, so much so that JT Lightning was quick to sign her as his personal bodyguard. Havok has made quick work of just about everyone she’s been in the ring with, male and female, culminating at our past show when she defeated FOUR opponents in a row, before finally succumbing to a hellacious Gore from the “War Machine” Rhino. However, not even Rhino can keep Havok down as she is back and seeking more competition. Who will step up to the plate this month? Our sources hope to have more information in the upcoming weeks.

In addition to our main event, already signed:

CAPW Heavyweight Title: Tracy Smothers vs. The Blue Meanie
It’s a feud that has been ongoing for ten years and counting, and shows no signs of letting up. The Smothers/Meanie bad blood began back in the original ECW, with Smothers representing the Full Blooded Italians (FBI) and Meanie representing the Blue World Order (bWo). After a series of unforgettable wrestling contests, as well as dance-offs, nothing was settled. The rivalry was re-ignited two years ago after a falling out between the two stemming from the aftermath of the controversial first WWE ECW One Night Stand pay-per-view. They’ve battled each other all over the US and into Europe, but never have they met for a major singles title, but June 3 in Cleveland the stakes are raised as Meanie attempts to dance his way to CAPW gold, and Smothers attempts to capture any momentum he can leading into a potential ominous encounter with Bane.

B.E.T. vs. The Clash
Tyrone Evans and Josh Emanuel have formed a very formidable and intimidating duo to add to the already stacked CAPW Tag Team Division, calling themselves B.E.T. While we’re still unsure what exactly that stands for, their track record in the ring is something that cannot be mistaken. However, B.E.T. did not count on seeing a couple of old rivals come onto the CAPW scene shortly afterward: The team of Brian Bender & Ernie Ballz, collectively known as The Clash, followed B.E.T. into CAPW and were quick to make a challenge. These teams have met several times throughout Ohio in the past, but on June 3 their feud gets taken to the next level as it will be on display in CAPW for the very first time.
Many more matches to be announced in the coming weeks!

CAPW BIGGEST SHOW EVER COMING AUGUST 5!

Traditionally, CAPW provides its biggest and best live event of the calendar year during the summer as Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling celebrates its anniversary in style. This year, however, CAPW takes it one step farther. The announcement was made official this past Sunday that on Sunday, August 5, Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling makes its debut in the Plain Dealer Pavilion, located on 2014 Sycamore Street to celebrate our anniversary with “A Night of Legends”. It’ll be the largest, most star-studded happening in Cleveland All-Pro history! Come join the record-breaking crowd that will be on hand to witness all the biggest, best, and brightest stars from wrestling’s past, present, and future.

Following a wild altercation at our last live event, the evening’s main event has already been penciled in. Should Tracy Smothers escape our June 3rd live event still CAPW Heavyweight Champion, he will finally step into the ring one-on-one against the 6’8 300+ pound unstoppable Jason Bane. Smothers has been ducking Bane’s challenge and screwing him at every opportunity, culminating at our last event when Smothers was directly responsible for Bane losing his Television Title to Conrad Kennedy III, shattering Bane’s hopes of unifying CAPW’s two top singles titles for the second time. Now, Bane will face Smothers one-on-one, and there will be nowhere for Tracy to hide, no shortcut for him to take… because the match takes place inside a 15 foot high STEEL CAGE!

Much much more will be revealed about CAPW’s Plain Dealer Pavilion debut set for August 5th. The show will take place on Saturday, November 3rd, 2007 at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall.
From their early beginnings, The Police were hailed as a maverick live band -- a group that galvanized an already impressive studio sound into something otherworldly when performing. Combining controlled energy and evocative melodies, Sting, Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers played with the improvisational instincts of a jazz trio and the raw energy of a punk-rock band -- a blend that made them one of the definitive rock groups of the'70s and '80s.
"We are thrilled to be able to present one of the world's most famous bands for a show that is sure to electrify Atlantic City," said Mark Juliano, Chief Operating Officer of Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc., the
co-presenter of the Atlantic City event.
