Annual Poll to Determine All-Time Greatest Rock Band and Album

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- This is the final week to vote in
RockinTown.com's (http://www.rockintown.com) annual rock music poll for the Best Rock Group of 2006, the Greatest Rock Group/Performer of All Time and Greatest Rock Album of All Time.
Flyleaf currently holds the lead in the Best of 2006 category, with My
Chemical Romance, AFI, Pearl Jam and Evanescence within striking distance.
To be eligible, a group must have released an album of new material
(greatest hits and live albums are not eligible) between October 2005 and December 2006.
Pearl Jam, after displacing Nirvana, last year's winner, as the
Greatest Rock Group, has regained the lead from Led Zeppelin. Nirvana, has dropped to 6th. Led Zeppelin and Evanescence are 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Pearl Jam's '91 debut album, "Ten," has also bested, for now, Nirvana's
"Nevermind" as the Greatest Rock Album. AC/DC's "Back In Black" and Green Day's "American Idiot" have made significant gains.
