Some Wrestling Society X notes

It looks like MTV is bracing for a true Tuesday Night War.

There has been a slight change to television program Wrestling Society X on MTV this week, while WSX will still have a Friday at 11 PM EST/PST timeslot on MTV, it will be a rebroadcast of the previous week's episode. Tonight will see a replay of the acclaimed episode 2 featuring Vampiro vs. 6-Pac to crown the inaugural WSX Champion as well as Human Tornado vs. Luke Hawx and That 70's Team vs. Team Dragon Gate. The big news is from this day forward, Tuesdays at 10:30 PM EST /PST will be the one and only true premiere of the show on the ten spot.

One major reason for this change we hear is that MTV absolutely loves Episode 3 featuring a TLC (Tables Ladders & Cerveza) main event with Los Pochos Guapos (Joey "Kaos" Muñoz & Aaron "Jesus" Aguilera) vs. Luke Hawx & Alkatrazz. They are confident that episode three is the right one to make the change with. In fact the TV Guide channel will be airing highlights from Episode 3 all weekend as part of their "What To Watch This Week" program.

Additionally, there might be some changes in replay schedules on MTV, MTV2, and now on MTV3 (Tres). Regardless of what your Tivo or DVR schedule says, the multiple timeslots will remain but expect most replays to be of the PREVIOUS week's show. Yes that will lead to a lot of repeats and confusion during this transition, but basically, Tuesday nights at 10:30 PM is THE time and place to watch the show - no other timeslots are guaranteed to have the new episode this week.

WRESTLING SOCIETY X STARS TO APPEAR AT NWA, UWF EVENTS!

Both the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and United Wrestling Federation (UWF) have announced they will be adding matches featuring top stars of Wrestling Society X to their upcoming shows.

The National Wrestling Alliance has come to terms with talent from Wrestling Society X to appear on NWA sanctioned cards across the United States. "We are pleased to be able to present the WSX talent on our events. We believe that this relationship will help in the success of our larger arena cards as we introduce WSX fans to the NWA and NWA fans to WSX." said John Rivera of NWA Pro Wrestling LLC. NWA Pro Wrestling LLC, recently announced plans to tour larger arenas nationally with their Lucha Libre and traditional wrestling hybrid events called "The Wrestling Summit."

The first appearance of Wrestling Society X competitors outside the WSX Bunker (as seen each week on MTV and WSX.MTV.COM) has been signed. On Sunday February 25, 2007 at NWA Pro Wrestling Summit: Fiesta Lucha from the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, history will be made! The tag team of Los Pochos Guapos (Aaron "Jesus" Aguilera & Joey "Kaos" Munoz) will face the WSX "Dream Team" of The Human Tornado & WSXtra's Very Own Matt Classic.

In addition, six of the high flying next generation WSX stars will be appearing for Hermie Sadler's United Wrestling Federation events March 2 in Gainesville, Georgia and March 3 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. These star studded UWF events, which will also feature the UWF debut of Amy "Formerly Lita" Dumas, will mark the first time many of these stars have ever been seen live in Georgia and Tennessee!

UWF president Hermie Sadler is eager to see the WSX stars and likes what they will add to UWF live events. "We pride ourselves on providing a little something for everyone on our shows and to bring the next generation of pro wrestling stars from WSX on these shows will certainly enhance the events. We look forward to what they will bring to the show!"

For now, the WSX stars will only be on these two UWF events, but the relationship could grow into more as the UWF develops a relationship with Big Vision Entertainment, the world's leading distributor of independent pro wrestling DVDs and the creators and producers of Wrestling Society X. WSX talent is scheduled to appear on several upcoming NWA Pro Wrestling events.
