NOTEBOOK FOR JANUARY 11th

Hey everybody, I'm down in Tampa right now in the midst of production work on two ROH DVD's, beginning an extended weekend of work which also includes two live FIP events, production on two FIP DVD's, and we continue work on SHIMMER Vols. 7 & 8.

For those in the area, don't forget Allison Danger and Sara Del Rey will be in action on this Saturday's event in Crystal River, FL at the National Guard Armory. Visit http://www.fullimpa ctpro.com/ for details. SHIMMER DVD's will also be available at the FIP events this weekend.

Look for Volume 6 to be included in this weekend's merchandise update at http://www.rohwrest ling.com/ (they should have this week's new releases up Friday afternoon sometime). Volume 6 includes the Cheerleader Melissa vs. MsChif Last Woman Standing Match, Rebecca Knox vs. Allison Danger in a Pure Wrestling Rules contest, Daizee Haze vs. Nikita, the Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew vs. Sara Del Rey & Mercedes Martinez, and a lot more. Plus don't forget two bonus matches are included on the Vol. 6 release featuring Nattie Neidhart and LuFisto, taped the night before our Vols. 7 & 8 taping in Berwyn. There is also an unexpected surprise appearance on the Vol. 6 DVD.

We're looking to have the Volume 7 release finished and available for purchase by mid-February, and ideally have Volume 8 ready by the big ROH Detroit double shot at the end of March (WrestleMania weekend). I can't wait for everyone to see some of the matches that appear on these releases, including Nattie Neidhart vs. Sara Del Rey, Mercedes Martinez vs. LuFisto, Daizee Haze vs. Cheerleader Melissa, Lacey vs. Nikki Roxx, and so much more.

We should have confirmation on the revised plans for our Volumes 9 & 10 taping later this weekend. Unfortunately, we were unable to move the taping to a suitable alternate venue to keep the show on the originally scheduled 2/25 taping date, but we will be moving the show to just a few weeks later, and keeping it at the Eagles Club in Berwyn, which has been the perfect setting to shoot our DVD series thus far. Several of our key performers have international commitments to tend to during that time frame, but we will bring everyone together in Berwyn as quickly as everyone's schedules allows to shoot Vols. 9 & 10. Also, we have some exciting plans in the works to bring a live SHIMMER event to a location other than Chicago in the very near future!

LUFISTO ANNOUNCES SABBATICAL

"The First Lady of Harcore" LuFisto announced earlier this week at http://www.lufisto. com/ and in her MySpace blog that she is taking an extended leave from pro wrestling. Due to the high impact and dangerous style of wrestling she has adopted over her nine year career, it has taken its physical toll on her body, and may require surgery to correct the damage that has been done. Though she doesn't officially call it "retirement, " LuFisto intends on letting her body heal during the coming months before contemplating a return to the ring. Below is what she posted on her web site concerning her status.

Unfortunately, there comes a time when your body tells you it's time to stop. Sometimes, you just won't listen and sometimes, you just have no more choices to listen and comply…

I've been having back pain since October but never did anything about it. I really thought it was something stupid, like simple muscle ache. Then, after every match, I was in pain. Last Saturday was no different as on the first fall I took, my back completely went numb.

I manage to finish the match and drive back home but the next day, things just got worst. As I was doing dead lifts, my back just let go. I heard a click, it burned and felt like my whole bones where squashed… So, I spent more than 14 hours at the emergency…

Two of my vertebras are in bad shape and I'm waiting to know if I need surgery. Of course, I won't risk anything this time and I will be responsible about this.

Therefore, no more wrestling…

Am I retiring? I don't like the word retirement because when you wrestle, it's in your blood and too many people who are "retiring" are back in the ring a while after.

The only thing I can say is that I'm not wrestling anymore, for now. I'll see what the doctor says, what the results of the CT Scan I'm having tonight will say. Depending if it's a good or bad news, I will make a decision about my wrestling future in about 3 months.

I unfortunately have to cancel all my bookings and forfeit my CZW Iron-Man championship, which has been my pride and joy.

My career, if we can call it a career, lasted close to 9 years…

Is it over? Only time will tell but I will have to slow down if I do decide to come back. I don't know if I'll update this website in the upcoming months. I guess I'll see how it goes and how I feel …

I'm still dealing with all this so I won't say more right now. If you are interested in buying some of my gear and boots, most of them are available. I'll keep just a few in case but that's about it. DVDs and shirts are also still available if you want to keep some LuFisto souvenirs.

The next three months will be quite challenging. Thank you so much for all the support and love throughout all those wonderful 9 years. I don't have any regrets as I did more than people expected me to do.
