-- Music news from the last few days...

-- Jazz Pianist Alice Coltrane Dies At 69

-- Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler arranged for jury selection for music producer Phil Spector's murder trial to take place 3/19 as he plans on calling as many as 300 prospective jurors to see who's fit for jury duty to last up to three months. Spector was arrested on 2/3/03 for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson in his mansion.

-- Guitarist Kirk Rundstrom Fights Cancer, Keeps Playing Music

-- Army Of Anyone will be headlining this year's Sno-Core Tour with Hurt, Dropping Daylight and Neurosonic as support. The tour, which lasts six weeks, begins 1/18 in Houston and concludes 3/4 in San Diego.

-- Pete Doherty was arrested in London over the weekend and later the charges were dropped but it seems the BBC won't allow Doherty to appear on any children's television shows. The BBC released a statement that included this comment: "Pete Doherty is well known for his drug-taking and criminal behavior. As such, he is currently not an appropriate guest for CBBC."

-- I'm sorry but this is funny, sad and dumb all at the same time~!
