TheSuperStation.NET expands I-TV schedule

It is with great pride that TheSuperStation.NET announces an expansion in our Internet-TV lineup to include two top companies. On January 13, 2007 one of the most successful promotions from the Volunteer State of Tennessee joins our network as Championship Wrestling, based in Kingsport, debuts with a 30 minute broadcast recapping their end-of-the-year tradition, Battle Bowl!

This month will also see the debut of the powerhouse promotion in the Carolinas, namely CWF Mid-Atlantic Wrestling. The CWF is sanctioned by the American Wrestling Association (AWA), and rejects the "sports entertainment" atmosphere which is seen on certain cable television wrestling shows and presents the fans with what they call the "Mid-Atlantic Tradition" consisting of family friendly events with an "Old-School" feel!

Those shows join the schedule that includes NWA Anarchy Wrestling, bringing you an hour of action packed pro wrestling every week featuring the very best of the National Wrestling Alliance!

On the Technical side, starting on the January 13th the Windows Media version will be available with a larger viewing screen of 480x360. We believe the fans will enjoy the experience of a larger screen as well as the shows being available in the MPEG4 format allowing for playback on portable devices like the iPod! Each promotion will have an archive of four weeks worth of programming to allow fans to watch the shows according to their own schedule!

All the action can be found at www.TheSuperStation.NET

Seasons Beating Show Report by Cash Flow X

December 30, 2006
Helen, GA at the Remember When Theater
Attendance: 600+

- The town of Helen is a recreation of a Bavarian Alpine village. It is a tourist destination town of 400 people that features many national chains of restaurants, motels, and local shops. The Chattahoochee River through the middle of town and several structures are built over it. Tonight’s show is being held at the country music haven of the Remember When Theater.

- The doors wasn’t supposed to open until 7 PM, but they opened early since it was raining outside. AJ Styles, Slim J (who is much smaller than I am), Ace Rockwell, Austin Creed and couple of other wrestler signed autographs and posed for pictures. Several locals loved my Old School Empire “Quality ass whoopins or your money back” T-shirt. I just smirked and didn’t say anything. Remember to always support your local talent when you head to an indy show outside your locality. The interior of the building is huge and features a small barroom as well. The set up is very professional. I had balcony seats, which means I had the best seat in the house. It’s not too often that I’m treated with this much respect.

- The show starts off with Eddie Rich informing the audience that we are singing the National Anthem. Copies of the Wrestling Informer are on sale for a $1 a piece. NWA Anarchy owner Jerry Palmer heads out with the Anarchy Angel Mary to accept his award as Georgia Promoter of the Year. He thanks the fans for their continued support. In a gesture of kindness, Palmer dedicated it to the entire locker room.

1. Ace Rockwell pinned Jimmy Rave to retain the NWA Anarchy TV Title.
THE MATCH: The crowd immediately digs into Rave by chanting “Jimmy sucks balls.” Rave begins the match by slapping the taste out of Ace’s mouth. Ace responds by giving Rave the bird. They chain wrestle for the opening minutes. The crowd begins to chant for Ace, but Rave commands the crowd not to. Ace takes down Rave with a shoulderblock. Rave hates to be embarrassed and promptly protests. Ace responds with a backdrop and fires away with 10 Shots to the Dome of Rave. Ace scores a near fall with a clothesline. They head over to the apron where Rave takes over with a nasty STO. Rave dominates Ace on the floor with a chop and a guardrail smash. Rave breaks the referee’s count and chops Ace, who was sitting in a ringside chair. Rave tosses him back in the ring for a two count. Rave tosses Ace back to the floor for a chop. Rave stomps Ace for a near fall. Rave continued to egg the crowd as he used a nice combination Russian leg sweep into an octopus. Rave scores a two count here. Ace tried to make a comeback, but Rave stopped him flat with a series of shoulderblocks in the corner and back suplex for a near fall. A rudo fan commands Rave to “whip that sissy #####.” Nice. Rave applies the obligatory resthold to build for a hope spot. Ace escapes and sends Rave flying to the floor after pulling down the top rope. Ace begins a major league comeback at ringside. The fans rally behind Ace as they chant his name. In the ring, Rave turnbuckle whips Ace, but misses him when he charges in. Ace sends Rave flying to the floor with a baseball slide. Ace tosses Rave back in the ring and scores a near fall with a cross bodyblock. Ace connects with a Stinger splash and spinning fisherman’s suplex for a near fall. He continues to mount an offensive with a huge spinebuster. Ace makes the cover, but Rave kicks out at 2¾. Ace sits Rave on the top rope and delivers a spine wrenching suplex for another 2¾ count. Ace goes for his finisher, but Rave counters with the SPEAR! Rave makes the cover, but Ace kicks out. Rave turnbuckle whips Ace, lands a flying knee and nearly finishes him off with a Rude Awakening. Rave snapmares Ace and catches him with a running kick for a two count. Rave tries to continue his offense, but Ace Hulks up! Ace pounds on Rave, but Rave fires back with a kick to the nether regions. Rave almost wins with a Russian legsweep. Rave decides it is time to put away his pesky adversary, but Ace stops him dead in his tracks with a top rope Ace’s High for the victory. After the match, they shake hands and Ace holds the ropes for Rave to walk through.
COMMENTS: This was definitely the best non-ROH match I’ve seen Rave wrestle in. His “aristocratic” and arrogant attitude has always given him a great personality, but his in ring work seems boring. Tonight was a different story and Rave didn’t lose the crowd here. Hopefully, his feud with Nigel McGuiness in ROH will help him propel out of his midcard status. The crowd heat was big time and both wrestlers responded by putting on a great match. Rockwell proved himself by keeping up with Rave.
RATING: ***¼

2. Brody Ray Chase & Brandon Phoenix win tag team turmoil.
RULES: This is almost a gauntlet style match where the winning team advances to fight the next match. Each match was scheduled for a 15 minimum time limit. The team that survives wins.
MATCH A: Jason Blackman & Adam Roberts vs. Adrian Hawkins & TC Carnage. The fans trade “Let’s go Blackman” and “Let’s go Adrian” chants to begin the match. The heels used mostly brawling and double team tactics to work over Hawkins and to keep Carnage out the ring. Hawkins finally uses a leapfrog to make the hot tag to Carnage, but Roberts nails him from behind. Carnage eludes the Big Boot and hoists Hawkins onto Roberts. Blackman sits Carnage on the rope, but TC tosses him off. Carnage appropriately finishes off Blackman with the Alabama Jam. Afterwards, Roberts smashes Carnage’s leg with a chair. He then placed the ankle in the chair and stomped it leaving Carnage in excruciating pain.
MATCH B: Adrian Hawkins & TC Carnage vs. Shatter & Truitt. Now, that is an appropriate name, Shatter. With Hawkins stumbling outside the ring, Truitt forces Carnage to tap out to a half crab.
MATCH C: Shatter & Truitt vs. Team Macktion (Krazy K & TJ Mack). This show is so big that the Team Macktion didn’t wrestle for AWA CWF Mid-Atlantic’s biggest show of the year, Battlecade. They have ongoing controversy over the AWA Light Heavyweight Title. Truitt takes over early with a powerbomb to TJ. The heels used some nice double team tactics here: a Go 2 Sleep toss into a spinebuster and a Hart Attack. TJ escapes a suplex to a neckbreaker. TJ makes the hot tag to Krazy. They finish off Shatter with a beautiful dualing 619s.
MATCH D: Team Macktion (Krazy K & TJ Mack) vs. “Awesome” Austin Creed & Hayden Young. Creed & Young is easily one of the most popular tag teams in Anarchy and deservedly so. The crowd traded “Let’s go Hayden” and “Let’s go Krazy” chants. Both teams hit their traditional moves in this fast paced contest. Late on Krazy misses a double stomp and Young catches him with a cutter variation. Creed tags in. Creed clotheslines and lands a spinwheel kick for a two count. Krazy fights back, but Austin & Creed are too much when they finish him off with a back suplex/neckbreaker combination.
MATCH E: Austin Creed & Hayden Young vs. Brodie Ray Chase & Brandon Phoenix. The faces send the heels into a frenzy after a docey do dualing dropkicks and a double coconut. Chase & Phoenix scurry to the floor, but only to meet a huge plancha. Air Young takes to the skies with a somersault plancha. I felt like chanting “holy #####” right at this moment in time. Creed calls Brody a pussy. Brody fights back with a back elbow and asks Creed, “Who is the pussy now?” Great stuff. At 5:00, Chase slams Creed down to the mat with a pump handle back suplex for a two count. Creed finally fights back and catches Phoenix with his Konnan style rolling clothesline. Young receives the got tag, but to a very delayed reaction from the crowd. Young lands 10 Shots to the Dome of Phoenix. Chase heads in and executes a huge sit out powerbomb. The referee counts 1… 2…, but Creed makes the save. Creed delivers an exploder suplex to Chase. Phoenix makes the save and uses a pump handle back suplex for a near fall. Young heads in to challenge Phoenix. Phoenix goes for the TKO, but Young escapes by leaping to the top rope. Standing in No Man’s Land, Case shoves Young into a nasty STO by Chase. Great finish.
MATCH F: Brodie Ray Chase & Brandon Phoenix vs. Seth Delay & Patrick Bentley. The heels attack the faces as they enter the ring, but they fight back with a double dropkick and a double clothesline. The heels retreat to ringside where Chase argues with a kid. Delay is sporting a new look. The crowd begins to taunt Chase with a “pompous pussy” chant. Great. The heels work over Delay. Phoenix asks the crowd, “Why are you so quiet?” Bentley receives the hot tag and cleans house. The end comes when Delay makes a blind tag after Bentley connects with Full Articulation on Phoenix. Delay tosses Bentley to the floor to make the cover. However, Chase boots Delay and Phoenix gets the pin for the victory. Afterwards, Delay scorns Bentley for losing the match, which was obviously not the case. Bentley sends Delay packing by stealing him in the face. Somehow, many fans were cheering for Delay. Strange.
COMMENTS: None of the matches were poor, but this segment was long and drawn out. Nobody cared about the outcome nor did the match establish any sense of ranking within the tag team division. There was little psychology here and don’t understand why each tag team’s entrance music was played before each match. This could have easily been held at any television taping. Also, will anybody care about Delay turning on Bentley? Maybe the turn should be saved for the television tapings.
RATING: NA.

3. Urban Assault Squad (Nemesis & Shadow Jackson) defeats Justice Served (Mikki Free & Jason Justice) by DQ to retain the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles.
REFEREE: Jerry Palmer.
THE MATCH: Justice Served received a huge pop heading out to the ring. A four way ensues as the match begins. The action quickly spreads to the floor. Nemesis nearly commits suicide by hitting on his head on the concrete floor by diving on Shadow and Free. Justice had even bigger ideas and wipes all three wrestlers with a huge somersault plancha. The fans show their appreciation with a “holy #####” chant. UAS works over Free. Nemesis stiffs Free with some thunderous chops. Roderick Strong would have been proud. UAS continues to stiff the living ##### out of Free. Justice Served gains the advantage when Free uses a jawbreaker. Justice tags and squishes Shadow’s head. Nemesis wants to make the save, but the referee won’t let him. Justice further pisses off Nemesis by yelling, “We’re testing your G, #####!” Justice destroys Shadow with a slingshot legdrop. Justice kicks Shadow’s head for a field goal. Damn, than hurt. Justice scores another near fall with the Psycho slam. At 10:00, all hell breaks loose. Shadow delivers a neck wrenching back suplex to Justice. Free makes the save by nailing Shadow with a chain. Free eventually displays their chain and Palmer immediately disqualifies them. Justice Served dipped to avoid getting their asses handed to them by UAS.
COMMENTS: This is just a situation where the fans love both tag teams. Justice Served will have to commit an extremely heinous act before the majority of fans begin to boo them. To be honest, both teams had a tough job to garner crowd interest after the long and laborious tag team turmoil match. Overall, this was a good and stiff match.
RATING: **½

It’s time for intermission. The crowd is so huge that the concession stand was running out of sodas.

4. AJ Styles pinned Jeremy Vain.
THE MATCH: Vain is certainly enjoying a major league singles push in Anarchy because he is now receiving the opportunity of a lifetime. The crowd chanted “AJ” and “welcome back” for their local hero. You would be surprised how over the Phenomenal One is, especially with the younger crowd. Vain tricks Styles when he fakes a tie up. They tie up again with Vain winning the exchange. Vain thinks AJ is an inferior and slaps the taste out of his mouth. Styles takes personal exception and slaps the taste out of Vain’s mouth. Vain throws a hissy when the crowd chants “TNA.” Vain spits in Styles’s face and takes the low road. Styles gives chase and beats Vain at his own game with a picturesque dropkick. No, make that a devastating dropkick. Styles tosses Vain into the front row. Styles decides its time to go flying and almost leaps into the sixth row with a flying forearm. Styles guardrail smashes Vain. Styles continues his assault by tossing Vain into the guardrail. Vain lands upside down on the last one. Styles tosses Vain back in the ring for a near fall. Styles lands a forearm that sends spit flying out of Vain’s mouth. Styles uses a backbreaker for a two count. Styles slams and knees Vain. At 5:00, Styles turnbuckle smashes and slaps a resthold on Vain. Styles releases before slamming Vain. Styles turnbuckle whips Vain, but finds himself flying to the apron when he comes charging in. Vain shoves the referee into the ropes and Styles goes a tumbling down. Damn, AJ is a great bumper. Not sure, just ask Rhino. Back to the match, Vain looks like he is attempting a suplex, but turns into a facebuster on the ring apron. Vain makes the cover, but Styles kicks out at two. The crowd rallies behind AJ when Vain slaps on the obligatory chinlock. Styles escapes, but finds himself on the wrong end of an abdominal stretch. Vain adds extra torture by punching the ribs. Styles musters enough strength to escape with a hiptoss and lands a clothesline. Styles appears to me making a comeback, but Vain pulls a trick right out of Eddie Gilbert’s playbook with a Hot Shot for a near fall. As he mugs Styles, Vain tells Styles, “You are nothing.” At 10:00, Vain slaps on another chinlock. Styles escapes, but not before trading some stiff punches with Vain. They struggle trying to deliver vertical suplexes. Styles wins that battle with his patented suplex/neckbreaker combination for a near fall. Styles connects with an inverted powerbomb for another near fall. Styles calls for the match to end with the Clash, but Vain desperately backdrops his way out. Vain nearly pulls out the upset victory with a beautiful Gori Driver. Vain makes the cover, but Styles kicks out at 2½. This sequence is straight out of TPI. The crowd rallies behind Styles as he lands a superkick for a great near fall. Vain punches back and sits Styles on the top rope. Vain comes a charging in, but Styles makes him eat an elbow. Styles connects with a moonsault into a legsweep for a near fall. Damn, this is great. Styles shoves the referee aside, but runs right into a low blow. Vain tries to finish off Styles with the VKO, but he blocks it and finishes off Vain with the Styles Clash.
COMMENTS: AJ is a spot monkey? Styles performed more legitimate wrestling moves in this match than Batista can perform in an entire lifetime. He carried Vain to the match of his life. However, Vain kept up his end of the bargain and in the process gained some valuable experience by wrestling a big name. Vain appears to be over as a heel and thus is deserving of a major push. If only more bookers would allow their workers to settle differences in the ring instead of trying to use convoluted booking to advance an insulting storyline, pro wrestling would be much better of.
RATING: ***½

5. Slim J pinned Sal Rinauro to retain the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title.
THE MATCH: Slim runs out from the locker room and viciously attacks Rinauro. Slim goes for a powerbomb, but Rinauro slips out and retreats to the floor. The crowd chants Slim’s name. Rinauro catches Slim with an armdrag and cinches in an armbar. Slim slaps on a headlock, but Rinauro escapes by biting Slim’s fingers. Talk about counter wrestling. Rinauro focuses his attack on Slim’s arm. Slim ends up countering Rinauro with a waistlock. Slim snapmares Rinauro and slaps on a body scissors. Rinauro makes it to the ropes to force the break. Rinauro turnbuckle whips Slim, but charges into a knee. Rinauro pulls Slim into the corner and unleashes a major league baseball slide. The ringside contingent begin a “Where’s my taco” chant until somebody points out that he is Italian. You know, people can be so #####ing ignorant sometimes. Please point out what part of Sal Rinauro is Mexican, despite using two Italian names. That’s the dumbest thing I’ve heard since a fan calling Claudio the worst Italian he’s even scene at the August ROH show in Edison, NJ. I apologize for going on a tangent, but I just had to point that out. OK, so I’m also joking there. Rinauro lands some nasty knees to the head and slaps on a chinlock with a bridge. The crowd rallies with a “Let’s go Slim” chant. Slim refuses to tap and makes it to the ropes. Rinauro lands an enziguri and pounds on Slim. He turns his attention to argue with the crowd before reapplies the chinlock with a bridge. A kid calls Rinauro a sissy #####. This is great stuff. Slim finally escapes. He lands a double stomp and splashes Rinauro for a two count. Slim continues to mount a comeback, but Rinauro stops him in his tracks with a Mo Howard eyelock. Rinauro lands some brutal knees for a two count. Slim fights back with a rana, a clothesline, an elbow and a kick. At 10:00, Slim heads to the rope and lands a flying elbow for a near fall. Rinauro turnbuckle whips Slim, but Slim rolls him up for a near fall. Rinauro kicks Slim and suplexes him back in with a suplex for a two count. Rinauro chokes Slim. As Rinauro heads to the top rope, the crowd begins to chant “Slim J.” Slim cuts off Rinauro with some elbows and launches a superplex. Slim makes the cover, but Rinauro kicks out at 2½. Rinauro lands a Pele kick for a two count. Rinauro turns his attention to the fans and Slim takes advantage of the distraction with a ground and pound. Slim immediately slaps on a Fujiwara armbar for the submission victory.
COMMENTS: This was an intense match that told a great story. This match was just another example of letting wrestlers do their thing without having to worry about any goofy endings. There were a few sloppy spots, but it didn’t take away from the match in the least. The early chain wrestling was top notch. Slim J proved that he can hang with the heavyweights and Rinauro is just more than a comedy midcard heel. Slim has shown little problem by transitioning from a high flyer to a ground based attack.
RATING: ***¾

6. The NWA Elite (Jeff Lewis & Onyx & Mikael Judas & Kory Chavis) w/Jeff G Bailey defeated the Devil’s Rejects (Iceberg & Tank & Azreal & Shaun Tempers) w/Dan Wilson & the Staff of Righteousness
PREMATCH: Dan Wilson and his Rejects head out from the locker room and calls the NWA Elite “#####ing posers.” Bailey grabbed the mike and worked his magic. After the NWA Elite was introduced, the uber improved Mikael Judas made his presence felt. Right now it was 4 on 3 in favor of the piss puddles, but Bailey introduced the man that everyone is familiar with… “the Soul Assassin” “Rainman” Kory Chavis. The crowd erupted like Vesuvius when Chavis made his entrance. Bailey reminds Wilson that Chavis had drained more blood than the Red Cross. The Elite chased the Rejects from the ring like rats scatter in light. A rabid fan has a vocal confrontation with Wilson. Wilson calls him a piece of ##### and a pussy. He waves the Staff into the fan’s face. The fan chases off Wilson and wins the battle of psychological warfare. Damn, that was awesome. No, I’m wrong on that note. That was #####ing awesome!
THE MATCH: Onyx and Tank go for an old fashioned showdown. Onyx wins the standoff with an armdrag. Tank heads over to hug his partner Iceberg like the big fat ##### that he is. What’s wrong? Did Onyx hurt your feelings? Aw, poor baby! Iceberg slams Onyx. Onyx no sells and powerslams Iceberg. The Rejects can’t believe it. Azreal and Tempers head in to make the save, but they are greeted with a double clothesline. The Rejects momentarily retreat. Iceberg ducks, but Onyx and Lewis greets him with a DDT. Iceberg gets up and assaults Lewis with a clothesline. Wilson calls Lewis soft. Lewis responds by giving him the finger and yelling, “Suck on this.” Judas tags in and delivers nine stiff shoulderblocks in the corner. Chavis pulls a Matrix on Azreal and clobbers him with an enziguri. Chavis follows up with a faceplant variation for a near fall. Azreal powerbombs Chavis. Meanwhile, Judas busts open tank by stabbing him. Bailey wipes Tank’s blood across his forehead like an Amazon warrior would. Judas pounds his head and licks the blood off his hands. Onyx stomps on someone’s head and yells out, “What’s up now #####es?” Chavis calls for the Shining Wizard, but Azreal nails him in a botched spot. The Rejects take over by kneeing him in the back. Iceberg landed a legdrop and Azreal had Chavis throwing his ribs with a good swift kick. Chavis scores a near fall with a Sunset flip. Azreal immediately turns the tables back into the Reject’s favor with a clothesline. Azreal executes the Ted Bundy (suplex into a DDT) for a near fall. Azreal tosses Chavis to the wolves where Wilson jabs him in the ribs. Tempers tags in and connects with a Rude awakening for a two count. At 15:00, Chavis buys himself time by connecting with the Dark City Cutter (electric chair cutter). Chavis flips off Dan Wilson and makes the hot tag to Judas. Judas stiffs the living ##### out of the Rejects. With no longer the ability to hold their emotions, all eight wrestlers began brawling. Iceberg and Judas faced off. Iceberg crotches and takes out Judas with a lariat. Iceberg decided it was time to go airborne, but Judas had other intentions. Judas sets up for a Splash Mountain, but has even deadlier intentions. JUDAS AIR MAILS THE 600 POUND ICEBERG WITH THE BORDER TOSS! AKA EL CRUCIFIJO! HOLY #####ING #####! This prompts Wilson to send in his insurance policy. And send in the insurance policy he did. Wilson sends in Dominous. The crowd was bracing for a battle of epic proportions. JUDAS GRABBED DOMINOUS BY THE THROAT AND CHOKESLAMMED HIM STRAIGHT TO HELL!!!!!! Tank posted Lewis on the outside. Iceberg smashes Judas from behind. ICEBERG AND DOMINOUS NEARLY DESTROYS JUDAS WITH A DOUBLE CHOKESLAM! Tank follows up with the Ground Zero splash. Tank gets tired of referee Jacob Ashworth and pummels him.
POSTMATCH: THE REJECTS HOISTS JUDAS IN THE AIR AND TANK MOTHER #####ING DOUBLE STOMPS HIM FROM THE MIDDLE ROPE! A small portion celebrated by chanting “Devil’s Rejects.” The NWA Elite take their frustrations out on the poor referee. Onyx and Lewis grab a trainee and beat him until he soiled himself. Onyx gave him a backbreaker to the crowd’s delight. Judas made his way back to the locker room under his own power and signaled to the crowd that it was over for the Rejects.
COMMENTS: They told the awesome story of two heel factions playing the human game of chess. They pulled out a lot of stops for this match to entertain the fans. There was much brutality to be had and the postmatch beatdown was even better. The showdown between Dominous and Judas had the crowd on the edge of their seats. If WWE ever needed a successor to the Undertaker, Judas is the man. For me, I had a sick and demented time cheering for Bailey. This is one of those dream feuds that could easily make big money if it is continued to be properly booked. This is the first regular eight man tag I have given four stars to because featured everything needed to reach that level.
RATING: ****

7. Todd Sexton pinned Chad Parham.
THE MATCH: Several fans are already heading for the exits. The rudo contingent chant “Chad’s a legend.” They begin the match by tying up and trading armbars. A disgruntled fan yells out, “Nobody cares about Todd Sexton.” What an ingrate. Sexton slaps on a headlock. Parham tries to escape with a back suplex, but Sexton has other ideas and holds on. Sexton connects with a shoulderblock and reapplies a headlock. Parham uses a head scissors to escape. Sexton sends Parham retreating to the floor after foiling him with a hammerlock. A handful of fans continue to heckle Sexton, “Get a tan, Todd. You look like powder.” If only you had ever seen Leviathan. Parham commandeers the mike to tell the fans, “Shut the hell up!” He threatens to head to the back and predicts he will be the next heavyweight champion. Slim J vs. Chad Parham feud anyone? It sounds good to me. Parham walks to the back, but Sexton cuts him off the ramp. Inside the ring, the referee yells as Sexton to cease and desist. Meanwhile, Parham pulls the padding off the top turnbuckle. Parham lands a loud chop. Parham follows up with an even more dangerous spot he did with Mikael Adryan at last year’s Season’s Beatings. This time Parham executed a delayed vertical suplex and tumbled over the rope to the floor with Sexton. They struggle to their feet. Sexton pounds on Parham and drops him crotch first on the guardrail. Sexton heads back into the ring with blood on his head. Parham eludes Sexton and pounds on him. Parham also lands some knees to the back of Sexton’s head. Parham scores a two count with a headbutt. In full control, Parham decides to slap on a chinlock. The crowd finally shows some life by rallying behind Sexton. Sexton escapes with a knee, but Parham punts him. After a stomach stomp, Parham slaps on another chinlock. At 10:00, Sexton breaks free. Parham turnbuckle whips Sexton and lands a concussive enziguri with Sexton on the apron. Parham follows up with one of his patented double stomps for a near fall. Parham goes for a powerbomb, but Sexton buys himself time by dropping him for a snakeeyes on the exposed turnbuckle. They rise to their feet and Parham nails Sexton with a superkick with a great near fall. Parham, who had blood trickling from his head, tells Sexton, “Eat #####, Todd.” Sexton got pissed. Sexton got really pissed. Sexton makes a big comeback and slaps on the Sharpshooter. The crowd finally comes to life and commands Parham to tap. They continue to chant “tap” as Sexton locks on the crossface. Parham makes it to the ropes to force the break. Sexton argues with the referee. Parham takes advantage by chop blocking him Sexton into the ref. At 15:00, Parham piledrives Sexton. He makes the cover, but the referee is knocked out. A second referee heads into make the count. 1… 2…, Sexton kicks out. Parham becomes infuriated and tosses the second ref to the floor. Parham attempts a second piledriver, but Sexton cradles him for the pinfall victory.
POSTMATCH: Some fans were still cheering for Parham. The locker room empties and all the faces head out to celebrate. Parham backs up into Palmer and exits through the crowd.
COMMENTS: This was just an average match and a poorly executed main event. They failed to maintain the fan’s interest and didn’t play to the crowd to get them into the match. They should have a reason to care about this match. These two are ring veterans and have no excuse for not capitalizing on a hot crowd. Due to the length of the show, some fans headed for the exits. Overall, this match should have been wrestled a different style.
RATING: **

OVERALL: NWA Anarchy proved tonight that they are the premiere NWA affiliate and one of the top indy promotions in the country. The production values were top notch. The show featured four stellar matches, which three could have been wrestled on any ROH show. This was so great on so many levels, but it had faults also. The pacing was thrown off by a 45 minute meaningless tag match and a vanilla main event. The show lasted way too long, especially with an 8:00 PM starting time. Also, there were a few vocal fans that were located a little bit too close to the main camera. Most of the booking was well planned and executed. It’s a shame that Anarchy isn’t on a true national network. It speaks volumes when people drive upwards of 13 hours (7 hours here and 9 hours from another fan I talked to.) I definitely will return in March for the next major show.

DVD Review: Fright Night 2006

By: Ca$hflow X

NWA Anarchy
Fright Night ‘06
November 4, 2006

- Welcome to the beautiful Remember When Theater located in Helen, GA, which is right down the road from the hallowed grounds of the NWA Arena. Greg Hunter and John Johnson join us for a big night of wrestling. (Is that a clichéd sentence or what?) Eddie Rich introduces our announcers. Gerald “Pianoman” Johnson provides a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem. Now, if only more shows would start off with the Star Spangled Banner.

- The show opens with a Devil’s Rejects vs. Team Anarchy recap video.

- NWA Anarchy owner Jerry Palmer heads out to greet the fans. Palmer says “thank you” is a pitiful word, but thanks the fans anyway. Some people said that the Remember When Theater is too big and can’t draw, but somehow it is filled to capacity. He thanks the owners of the building for holding tonight’s big show. Palmer announces Season’s Beatings will be held on December 30 at the same location. He recalls AJ Styles’s career in NWA Anarchy and announces his return will be December 30.

1. Austin Creed & Hayden Young defeat Jeremy V & Jason Blackman by pinfall.
THE MATCH: The faces begin the match my sending the heels to a retreat. Creed dives onto V & Blackman, but they catch him. Young has other ideas and wipes them out with a botched shooting star press. Damn, Young nearly committed suicide there and found a way to adjust himself in midair. Good move. Back in the ring, Young sets up for the Flying Squirrel frogsplash, but V sticks his knees up to block the move. The crowd trade dualing chants for Blackman and Young. The rudos dominate Young using double team and cheating tactics. Blackman slaps on a surfboard. The crowd rallies behind Hayden, but Blackman releases. Blackman ties Young to the Tree of Woe. V whips Blackman into Young and V follows up with a dropkick. Nice teamwork. Blackman whips Young into the ropes and they clothesline each other. Creed receives the hot tag and cleans house. Creed lands a pair of rolling clotheslines. They land 10 Shots to the Dome in opposite corners. Blackman tosses Creed to the floor and saves Young. V & Blackman connect on the Dirt Nap, but Creed makes the save. Creed sends a charging Blackman over the rope to the floor. Creed lands a flurry of punches and Young finishes off V with the frogsplash.
COMMENTS: This was a decent by the numbers tag match to open up Fright Night 2006. It started the show on a high note, but they didn’t raise the bar so that this would be the best match of the night. It was just good enough to get the fans warmed up for action. Creed & Young needed and got a clean win over an established tag team. At the beginning of the match, it looked like Young may have slipped on condensation when he attempted the shooting star press to the floor. He made a great recovery in midair. Creed is flashy and needs to eliminate wasted motion in his offense. Some fans have a hard time buying parts of his offense. He definitely has the physique, look, and charisma to make it. V’s dropkick with Young tied to the Tree of Woe was nice.
RATING: *¾

- Johnson criticizes the town for not having an ATM machine. Hunter notes that they are attending Oktoberfest and Johnson quickly changes the subject to drinking. Johnson’s antics never cease to amaze me.

2. “The Seven Figured Deal” Ace Rockwell pinned Brandon Phoenix w/Brodie Ray Chase to win the NWA TV Title.
THE MATCH: The crowd clearly delivers a clear message to Phoenix, “Brandon sucks.” Phoenix whips Rockwell to the ropes where Chase trips him. Rockwell takes personal exception by stomping on Chase’s hand. Rockwell pummels Chase. Phoenix sneaks from behind, but Rockwell lays the Smackdown on his candy ass, too. Rockwell tosses Phoenix back into the ring. Rockwell turns around and Chase delivers the Big Boot to the face and drops him on the guardrail. Back in the ring, Phoenix makes the cover, but Rockwell kicks out twice at two. Rockwell gets in a Sunset flip, but Chase distracts the referee to buy Phoenix some time. The referee makes a delayed two count. At 5:00, Rockwell charges into a back elbow after escaping a chinlock. The crowd chants at Phoenix to “pull your pants up.” Great! Rockwell counters a suplex into a small package for a two count. Rockwell rebounds off the ropes, but Chase trips him up again. Phoenix connects with a T-bone suplex for a near fall. Johnson accuses Hunter of blasphemy, but Hunter commands him to show anything Biblical about Chase and he’ll plead guilty. Rockwell applies the sleeper, but the ever resourceful TV champion delivers a well placed mule kick. Ding dong, Avon calling. They collide with each other. Rockwell fights back. He heads to the top, but Chase distracts him. Rockwell gets tired and chases Chase. Chase goes into the ring, but Rockwell climbs under the ring and appears at the opposing corner. Rockwell surprises Chase with a flying bodypress. Phoenix seizes the moment with a facebuster. Phoenix makes the cover, but Rockwell kicks out at 2½ to the crowd’s delight. Chase distracts Rockwell again, but Rockwell rolls up Phoenix. Phoenix kicks out and Rockwell lands into a right hand from Chase. Phoenix connects with a huge STO. Phoenix slowly makes the cover and Rockwell makes him pay by kicking out again. Phoenix is in total disbelief. The crowd rallies behind Rockwell as Phoenix heads to the top rope. Phoenix thumbs his eye. They battle on the top rope, but Rockwell finishes him off with a top rope Ace’s High. Johnson congratulates Rockwell for winning the title because Phoenix played around too much. Rockwell leaves through the crowd to celebrate.
COMMENTS: These three stole the first half of Fright Night with its great combination of wrestling, chicanery and storytelling. Phoenix’s hesitations and playing around eventually cost him the title. Johnson was especially good on pointing this out on commentary. I enjoyed Chase’s antics and how Rockwell thwarted almost every interference attempt from him. The sequence where Rockwell crawled under the ring to outwit the heels was funny. Rockwell is a good wrestler that has a strong connection with the fans. Rockwell should provide some interesting matches as TV champ.
RATING: ***

3. Seth Delay defeated Patrick Bentley and Adrian Hawkins in a three way dance.
THE MATCH: This match was a result of Onyx’s inability to make the show. Alejandro informed Johnson that Bentley placed a restraining order on Onyx. Hunter suggests that Johnson shouldn’t use cheap labor and hire Alfredo because he produced better results. Hawkins ended up wrestling both opponents. Hawkins keeps Delay at bay while he works over Bentley. Delay uses an over the top rope Sunset flip to score a near fall. Hawkins takes exception and tosses Delay back to the floor. Bentley makes a comeback. They double team Hawkins. Bailey passes the announcer’s table and heads out to the ring. He pulls Bentley’s leg and Delay rolls him up for the victory. Delay acts a little cocky after the match.
COMMENTS: All three wrestlers tried to make this work. I admire them for going out and performing a match on such a grand scale on limited notice. The crowd was dead silent because this involved three faces. The ending helped to continue the NWA Elite vs. Bentley & Delay feud while planting seeds for Delay’s upcoming heel turn.
RATING: *

- Johnson cracks on the locals by saying they can’t even afford leather straps, but yet he is looking into a waterfall to steal money. A kid sitting nearby was cracking up at Johnson’s futile attempts to steal money.

4. Fans country whipping match: Adam Roberts pinned TC Carnage
RULES: Fans may not strap any wrestler until both feet of a competitor touch the floor.
THE MATCH: Alright, ladies and gentlemen, it looks like we have ourselves an old fashioned slobberknocker between two old school brawlers. Carnage hits the ring and Roberts displays amazing lightning speed by retreating to the floor. Roberts realizes that this isn’t such a great idea and heads back in the ring. Roberts attempts to answer an emergency phone call, but the fans respond by whipping him like the proverbial government mule. Hunter admits that Roberts was a tremendous track athlete given his ability to high tail it. Johnson continues to talk about Roberts’s cell phone service. Hunter notes that there is no cell phone reception in the theater. Johnson claims Hunter’s phone is a tin can and Roberts is much richer than he. WOW! At 5:00, Carnage no sells several strap attacks by the fans. Roberts maintains the advantage by using brawling tactics. Roberts charges in and Carnage pulls the top rope down so that he falls to the floor. The fans lash him, but Roberts takes back over with a reverse turnbuckle whip and a backdrop for a two count. Carnage makes a comeback with a springboard clothesline for a two count. Both wrestlers struggle to rise to their feet. The crowd trade dualing chants. Carnage catches Roberts with a fall away slam into a bridge for a near fall. At 10:00, Carnage tosses Roberts to the outside where he retreats back to the wrestler’s entrance. The entire locker room including Jason Blackman chase him back out. Okay, I smell something fishy here. Blackman distracts the referee which allows Roberts to KO Carnage with a pair of brass knuckles. Like I said, I smelt fish. A kid whips Blackman’s chest as hard as he can, but Blackman no sells. Great.
COMMENTS: This match failed to live up to expectations. It was at times sloppy and failed to get across the ongoing storyline. It’s a shame because these two arm much better than they showed in this match. Personally, they both have that old school tough guy look.
RATING: *

- Now, Hunter & Johnson are at Whisper’s Lingerie and the Georgia Wines Inc. Tasting Room. (Insert lingerie jokes about Johnson here). Johnson has something to say, but Hunter cuts him off because they are filming. Hunter informs us about Chad Parham’s intentions to confront Todd Sexton.

- Chad Parham commands Eddie Rich to vacate the premises and Todd Sexton to get his carcass out to the ring. Several fans heckle Sexton, “You suck Todd.” Parham wants to clarify some facts: (1) Chad Parham is the best wrestler in the locker room, (2) Chad Parham is the Greatest heavyweight champion during Sexton’s tenure, and (3) Sexton continues to stick his nose in Parham’s business. “You lost (to Mikael Adryan). You’re no longer a professional wrestler. From this turnbuckle, all around the ring, this is my job.” Ouch, that was low. “You don’t belong here and you never will again. You’re a bad wrestler. You’re a bad manager. You’re bad at everything you do Todd.” Damn, so Chad means that Todd is bad at being bad. If Parham goes any lower, he’s going to have a personal problem. As Todd heads out of the ring, Parham adds, “It’s a good thing your son’s a little kid so he won’t remember the day his father left his testacles.” Alright, that’s Dan Wilson low. Sexton nails Parham. Sexton attempts to walk off, but Parham chop blocks him. Parham delivers a spine wrenching Paul Orndorff leaping piledriver. He heads to the floor and tosses a chair into the ring. The referee checks on Sexton, but Parham chases them away. He places the chair around Sexton’s neck and delivers a vile and evil double stomp to his throat. Parham walks to the locker room with a sick smirk on his face.

- Our tour continues as we meet Ann and a white horse, Molly. Johnson says they look like. They reflect on the upcoming tables match. Molly sniffs Johnson and he decides to exit stage right.

5. The Urban Assault Squad (Nemesis & Shadow Jackson) defeats the Devil’s Rejects (Tank & Shaun Tempers) w/Dominous to win the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles.
STIPULATION: Winner is declared by putting their opponents through three tables.
FALL #1: UAS won the tag titles from Alabama Attitude by double hanging on a previous Fright Night. UAS takes the early advantage. Shadow heads out to find plunder underneath the ring. Temper leads the referee in a discussion with the fans. Tank charges at Nemesis in the corner. Nemesis moves and Tank breaks the table. Dominous chokeslams Nemesis and Tank rolls his limp body over to the broken table. The referee turns around and rules the Rejects are up 1 – 0. That was horrible booking. No casual fan buys that in the age of the smart fan. Last time I checked, the referee can’t call what he can’t see.
FALL #2: Shadow works over the Rejects. Nemesis smashes Tank with a piece of broken table. He digs into Tank’s skull with the table. UAS sets up a table in the corner. Jackson puts on the brakes when Tempers tries to whip him through a table in the same corner. Tempers lands a kick to the gut and delivers an exploder onto the table. Luckily, the table doesn’t break. Unfortunately, Jackson appeared to hurt his back. Tempers spears Jackson through the table to put the Rejects up 2 – 0.
FALL #3: Jackson connects with a huge spinebuster on Tempers. They brawl on the outside of the ring while Tank punts Nemesis. Dominous threatens Jackson, but Jackson delivers a Greco Roman eye poke. Tank stomps the shards of the table on Nemesis. Tank executes the Go 2 Sleep and he is sicker than KENTA~! Tank rearranges the furniture, but Nemesis catches him with a baseball slide. UAS sit Tank on the table. Nemesis mounts the top turnbuckle and puts Tank through the table with a double stomp. Rejects up 2 – 1.
FALLS #4 & #5: Jackson blocks a Tempers suplex through a table at ringside. Jackson chokeslams him from the apron through two tables at ringside to win the tag titles. Tank sticks his middle finger up as he lies in the rubble at ringside. He poses on the middle turnbuckle, but stumbles back to the mat. UAS is up to 3 – 2.
COMMENTS: This was another disappointing match that was too short and featured very little drama, especially when the ending came out of nowhere. The action was good while it lasted though. Nemesis’s double stomped the table instead of Tank, which is a good thing. Even with Tank carrying a lot of bulk, that would be one hellacious double stomp to take.
RATING: *¾

- The Anarchy Angel Miss Mary hands UAS a bottle of wine for celebration. Wait a minute? It’s not Hennessey? They promise violence in the name of Anarchy. They demand, “Don’t test out G.” Are they sowing seeds for a future feud?

- Up next Dan Wilson reminds everyone that for one year they have dominated and everyone has licked their boots. Damn, that is really a disgusting thought. He #####es about losing the tag team titles and vows revenge. They promise not only to win the tag team titles the next time, “We are going to slap the dentures out your grandmother’s mouth, slit you doggy’s throat and destroy everything you have!” AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH! Dan Wilson is awesome. End Disc 1.

¬- Hunter points out that no Anarchy champion has ever left Fright Night with the title. Johnson counters by #####ing that Helen doesn’t have an ATM machine, he was forced to teetotal and Lewis will remain the champion despite Slim J defeating him at last year’s event for the TV Title.

6. Jeff Lewis w/Jeff G. Bailey defeated Slim J by submission to retain the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title.
THE MATCH: J spends the opening moments of the match by brutalizing and sending Lewis to retreat numerous times. The tide turns when Lewis lifts his feet when J decides to go flying. Lewis immediately begins to focus his attack on J’s back. Hunter defies Johnson to name a body part on J that hasn’t been injured. J catches Lewis with a head scissors, but Lewis catches him bouncing off the ropes with a dropkick for a two count. Lewis powerbombs J straight to Hades, but he kicks out two. Lewis hoists J to the top rope. Lewis sets up for a double underhook superbomb, but J fights his way out with a superplex. J begins a wild comeback and lands a top rope maneuver for a two count. Lewis retreats to the floor to take a timeout with Bailey. J has other ideas and wipes them out with a huge cross bodyblock. J tosses Lewis back into the ring for a 2½ count. Bailey snatches the Anarchy title from the broadcaster’s table and heads to the ring. J leaps off the top turnbuckle, but Lewis catches him with the Final Curtain. Lewis staggers to make the cover. The referee counts, but J places his foot on the ropes. Bailey instructs Lewis to perform another Final Curtain. J slithers out, but only after Lewis slings him into the referee. J applies the Roach Clip and Lewis taps, but the blunt crumbles apart was a little too short. Bailey tries to smash J with the title, but he chases him. J runs into the ring and Lewis plasters him with the Anarchy title. Lewis employs some Japanese psychology and humiliates J by forcing him to lose to his own move. Afterwards, J is carried to the back.
COMMENTS: This was a disappointing match because it was too short for a championship match between two of Anarchy’s wrestlers. The match itself was good, told a decent story and had a fun ending. Slim J has adapted his style and has improved the believability factor in his offense since I first saw him wrestle Jerrelle Clark in FIP two years ago.
RATING: **¾

- Next up, we visit our relative, a skeleton. Hunter & Johnson explain the blood war between Team Anarchy and the Devil’s Rejects.

7. Casket match: Team Anarchy (Jason Justice & Mikki Free & Jerry Palmer & the Monster Abyss) defeated the Devil’s Rejects (Azreal & Iceberg & Dominous & Dan Wilson w/the Staff of Righteousness) when Palmer stuffs Wilson into the casket.
REFEREE: Speedy Nelson.
PREMATCH: This is the battle between the ultimate form of evil and the heroes of NWA Anarchy. The Rejects hoist the casket as they enter the arena and Justice Served make their grand entrance by riding in on a pair of Harley Davidson’s.
THE MATCH: Abyss makes his entrance, which sends the Rejects scurrying like roaches. The crowd chants “Anarchy” to rout on their favorite promotion. Early on, Iceberg connects with a spinebuster to Free. He tags in Wilson, who Free promptly dumps. Wilson cowers in the corner like a yellow bellied coward and tags in Azreal. Azreal works Palmer early on in this contest using brawling tactics. Palmer fires back with a spinebuster and a pair of backdrops. After a powerslam, Palmer makes the tag to Abyss. He signals for the chokeslam, but Azreal catches him with a kick to the Abyss. Azreal charges off the ropes, but Abyss catches with the Shock Treatment (sit Argentine backbreaker). Azreal senses real fear and tags out to Dominous. The Rejects attack Abyss from behind, which prompts Team Anarchy to head out. This breaks down into a fun cluster##### that leaves Palmer alone in the ring with Wilson. Wilson takes the low road and escapes to ringside. Iceberg rolls into the ring and destroys Palmer with the Ground Zero splash. Bill Behrens, several referees and security head out to carry Palmer to the back. Damn, Iceberg is awesome. This turns to a 4 on 3 onslaught by the Rejects. Wilson plays on the apron while Dr. Lawson is paged to the back by Eddie Rich. The crowd chants “Anarchy,” but to no avail. Azreal works over Free. Azreal sees Justice and Dominous fulfills his command to nail Justice. Dominous brawls with Abyss at ringside, which leaves Azreal alone with Free. Free picks up Azreal for a suplex and then dumps him for a slam. Free turns his back and Iceberg nails him from behind with a huge avalanche and the Ground Zero splash. Justice heads in and works over Iceberg. Dominous climbs into the ring a wipes out Justice with a sidewalk slam. Abyss nails the 7 foot monster from behind and aids Justice in whipping Iceberg and Dominous into each other. Justice catches Iceberg with Psycho slam and Abyss hits Dominous with the Black Home Slam. Dominous and Abyss brawl onto the stage and back to the locker room. Azreal applies the mandible claw to Free at ringside while Wilson hands Iceberg the Implement of Destruction. Palmer runs out from the locker room to make the save. He mounts the middle turnbuckle and takes him out with a cross bodyblock. Palmer sells his ribs, but sends Iceberg to the floor. Wilson decides to take matters into his own hands and nails Palmer from behind. Wilson tosses the Staff of Righteousness aside. Wilson tries to stab Palmer, but Palmer reverses it. Wilson begs for mercy, but Palmer will have none of it. Palmer gouges Wilson a la Abdullah the Butcher. Shaun Tempers interferes and runs all over Palmer. And then all heaven breaks loose… AJ Styles music plays and he sends Tempers packing with the Styles Clash. Palmer ends up alone with Wilson and powerslams him. Styles heads to ringside and tosses Tempers into the guardrail. Palmer carries Wilson into the casket and slams it shut for the victory.
POSTMATCH: The locker room empties and everyone celebrates with Team Anarchy in the ring. The crowd chants “Anarchy” as the show goes off the air. AJ Styles thanks the fans for cheering in his homecoming. He talks about going from NCW (the sign is still outside the NWA Arena) to NWA-Wildside to NWA Anarchy. Palmer heads over to the Staff of Righteousness and shatters it into a million pieces.
COMMENTS: This was a well booked match. It started out as a tag and developed into a fun cluster#####. It’s good that this match turned into a cluster because it allowed everyone to do what they do best: brawl. It featured a feel good ending that sent everyone home happy. AJ Styles’s special appearance added a nice touch to the finish. Palmer returning to the match after taking the Ground Zero splash is realistic for him being a non-wrestler. If you think about, fireman usually have great endurance and the ability to survive in harsh elements, so this made perfect sense. One note, the action skipped just before the 21 minute mark during this segment. It didn’t hurt the match, so I guess I’m nitpicking.
RATING: ***½

- Johnson is skipping rocks across the water as Hunter talks about tonight’s events. Johnson tries to pull Hunter into the Chattahoochee River while he celebrates Lewis returning the NWA Anarchy Title. Unfortunately, Johnson goes down in defeat and creates a spectacle by landing on his ass in the water. Johnson sits in the water in total disbelief. Great stuff.

- EXTRAS: Fright Night 2006 video and commercial, Anarchy Angel Miss Mary video, and sponsors.

OVERALL: Overall, Fright Night 2006 was a major success for NWA Anarchy. The show had its good and bad moments. Several matches were disappointing: Roberts vs. Carnage (sort of sloppy and didn’t have the oomph needed to make it special), Lewis vs. Slim J (good, but too short) and UAS vs. Rejects (not much of a story and ending came off weird.). The three way wasn’t too bad given the circumstances. The DVD had some great stuff with Ace vs. Brandon P (great execution of storyline), the main event, the homecoming of AJ Styles and the hilarious vignettes with Hunter & Johnson. The production values are below ROH quality, but very good for an indy company. NWA Anarchy looked major league. The segments were nicely laid out and combined with the announcing crew’s antics, this DVD was pretty good. Thumbs up.

UPCOMING VIDEO REVIEWS: Shimmer Women Athletes, Volume 1, VCW Volume 7: Purgatory, Sonjay Dutt Vol. 2 and BOLA 2006.

NWA Anarchy TV Report
Episode 45
January 8, 2006

- A review of the Fright Night 2006 DVD will be forthcoming over the next few days and it will feature much deeper commentary than the usual TV reviews. Special thanks to everyone who takes the time to read the television reports.

WRESTLING: (n.) \’res-ling\ A sport of contest in which two individuals face off in unarmed combat.
ANARCHY: (n.) \an-ar-key\ (1) A state of lawlessness due to absence of authority. (2) A complete lack of order.
What happens when you mix the two together? NWA-Anarchy!

- Today’s episode of NWA Anarchy contains several matches from Fright Night 2006, which is available on DVD at www.nwa-wildside.com. Hunter & Johnson are in the Remember When Theater and preview this week’s show.

- NWA Anarchy owner Jerry Palmer is speechless because so many people attended Fright Night 2006. He promises to “Turn This Mother Out” and thanks the fans for packing the arena tonight. He delivers a brief synopsis of AJ Styles’s career and announces he will make his return on December 30.

1. Jeremy V & Jason Blackman vs. Austin Creed & Hayden Young
THE MATCH: The heels retreat early in this contest, but the faces have other ideas. V & Blackman catch Creed trying to dive on them, but Young wipes everyone out with a major league dive. Young decides to finish V off early, but eats a pair of knee when he lands the Flying Squirrel frogsplash. V & Blackman spend the next several minutes working over Young. After a commercial break, Blackman and Young clothesline each other. Young receives the hot tag and cleans house. Blackman tosses Creed to the floor, which allows V & Blackman to connect with the Dirt Nap. V makes the cover on Young, but Creed makes the save. Creed sends Blackman to the floor when he pulls down the top rope. Creed KO’s V and Young puts him away with the Flying Squirrel.
WINNER: Creed & Young.
COMMENTS: This was a decent by the numbers opening tag contest. It’s good to see Creed & Young receive a victory over an established tag team. V’s dropkick with Young tied to the Tree of Woe was nice. Creed is improving as a wrestler, but needs to eliminate wasted motion. Early on, it looked like Young slipped up going for a shooting star press, but it appears he recovered in midair.
RATING: *¾

2. Adrian Hawkins vs. Seth Delay vs. Patrick Bentley
THE MATCH: This impromptu match was thrown together when Onyx was unable to make tonight’s event. Hawkins dominated Bentley for the second half of the match while keeping Delay at bay. The ending comes when Jeff G. Bailey trips up Bentley and Delay rolls him up for the victory.
WINNER: Seth Delay
COMMENTS: All three tried to make it a match and did a good job considering this was thrown together. The crowd just wasn’t into three faces battling it out. All was not lost because the ending accomplished two things: (1) sowing seeds of a Delay heel turn and (2) continue the NWA Elite vs. Delay & Bentley mini feud.
RATING: *

3. NWA TV Title: Brandon Phoenix (ch.) w/Brody Ray Chase vs. Ace Rockwell.
THE MATCH: For some reason, Johnson loves Rockwell, but feels like he will come out on the short end of the stick against Phoenix. The tide turns when Chase lures Rockwell to the outside and delivers the Big Boot after some chicanery. Rockwell sneaks in a Sunset flip, but Chase distracts the referee. The referee finally makes the count, but Phoenix escapes at 2. At 5:00, Rockwell runs into an elbow after escaping a chinlock. Johnson suggests that Phoenix should stop being so complacent. Rockwell reverses a suplex into an inside cradle for a two count. Phoenix executes a T-bone suplex for a two count. Rockwell returns fire with a sleeper, but Phoenix escapes with a mule kick to the lower extremities. After a commercial break, Rockwell unloads a flurry of offense. He heads to the top rope, but Chase distracts him. Rockwell chases after him, but then crawls underneath the ring. Rockwell appears on the opposing turnbuckle and wipes out Chase with a cross bodyblock. Phoenix takes advantage with a faceplant, but only manages a two count to the crowd’s delight. Chase climbs back on the apron and Phoenix almost runs into him. Phoenix apologizes to Chase, but Rockwell rolls him up. The referee makes the count, but Phoenix sends Rockwell flying into Chase. Chase nails Rockwell and Phoenix lands the STO. Phoenix caters to the crowd and only garners a 2½ count. Chase proclaims it was a three count, but we all know better than that. The crowd chants “Ace” as Phoenix heads to the top rope, which turned out to be a major mistake because Rockwell finishes him off with Ace’s High.
WINNER: Rockwell wins TV Title.
COMMENTS: This match featured a nice combination of wrestling, chicanery and storytelling. Phoenix hesitated too much and it eventually cost him the match. Rockwell should make a good TV champ.
RATING: ***

4. Fans strap match: Adam Roberts vs. TC Carnage
THE MATCH: We join this match in progress when Carnage catches Roberts with a fall away slam into a bridge. Carnage tosses Roberts to the floor. Roberts laps the ring and heads to the back where Blackman cuts him off. Roberts pulls a Shane Hagadorn and cold cocks Carnage with a pair of brass knuckles for the victory. In the spot of the show, Blackman flexes his chest while a kid whips him with a leather strap. Oh, that was great.
WINNER: Adam Roberts.
COMMENTS: Only the last few moments of this match were shown, but the finish was classic old school wrestling.

- A promo for the Monster Abyss airs for the upcoming casket match.

- Dan Wilson appears for another classic interview. Wilson reminds Palmer that in the first year of the Rejects, there have been many casualties, broken bodies and many broken spirits. The ultimate decision awaits Palmer. When the Rejects head in to Armageddon, it will be in a casket match. He knows that he is in Palmer’s head. He reminds Palmer about his ride in the ambulance and not knowing if he would see his family ever again. Wilson is not afraid of death and embraces it. “You can’t fear death, you can only fear life,” proclaims Wilson, “The mission must be accomplished by any means.” Wilson promises to take Palmer straight to hell with him if he is placed in the casket.

- OVERALL: This was a decent show that highlighted the opening matches of Fright Night 2006. The highlight is definitely the TV title match and Dan Wilson’s tirade. He did a good job of hyping the casket match on next week’s episode.

NWA MAIN EVENT RESULTS

Smyrna National Guard Armory

Smyrna, TN. 1/12/07

Match 1

ATL Match

“White Lightening” Robbie C vs. Justin

Robbie C started the match off with a spin kick; and a shoulder tackle to the midsection of Justin when he was in the corner. Justin gained the advantage by kicking Robbie C in the ribs. After a stiff clothesline and a back breaker, Justin was only able to get a two count. Robbie C ducked Justin’s next clothesline and did a vicious backbreaker of his own. However, Robbie C was able to keep Justin’s shoulders to the mat for the three count in 6:32.

Match 2

ATL Match

ATL TV Champion Rastakhan vs. Little Weezer

Little Weezer was rolling around the ring since he was so hyped up and the fans clapped for him each time. Rastakhan could not understand why the fans were clapping so he tried to roll around the ring also. The fans booed him though. Little Weezer caught him rolling and kicked him then as Rastakhan stood up he was given a couple of wedgies. While he was trying to adjust his tights, Little Weezer tripped him so Rastakhan fell flat on his face and then was caught in the head scissors. Little Weezer released the hold. He did a cartwheel instead of running the ropes and planted Rastakhan with a DDT. Unfortunately for Little Weezer he missed the back flip off the top ropes as Rastakhan moved out of the way just in time. Rastakhan power slammed Little Weezer for the win in 12:10.

Match 3

3 WAY DANCE for the NWA Mid American Tag Team Titles

"The Syndicate Crew" Psycho Medic, Karnage, LA Player & DeAngelo

vs.

"Mr. Impact" JT Quest & Mr. "Mean" Mike Woods w/Xstacy

vs.

Shady Grady & White Trash

oods overpowered LA Player in a show of strength. Woods then was able to step on LA Player’s hand. LA Player jumped up really quickly to make a tag but went to the wrong corners. He was punched by Grady, Quest, White Trash, and Woods before he was knocked out. Woods went for the cover. Psycho Medic stopped the ref’s count. “Nerdy White Boy” Jay Jacobs was walking around ringside then he sat in the audience. “The Syndicate Crew” could not understand what he was doing. Jacobs is still trying so hard to become a member of “The Syndicate Crew”. Xstacy smacked Shady Grady when he was by her corner. Quest kicked Grady as hard as he could between the legs then tossed him to the floor beside Xstacy and Mike Woods. Woods poked him in the eyes and elbowed him in the head. Quest then choked him and went for the cover. “The Syndicate Crew” once again stopped the count. Unknown to Grady, Medic tagged Quest on the back. As Grady was regaining some energy he tossed Quest into the ropes. As Shady turned around, Psycho Medic laid him out with a clothesline. DeAngelo wanted to fight and would not wait for the tag so he jumped in the ring. DeAngelo and Grady clotheslined each other at the same time. Grady was the first to his feet so he was finally able to tag in White Trash who was facing all four members of “The Syndicate Crew”. The match became out of control. All 8 participants were brawling in the ring then they spilled over to the floor. The referee started counting each man out. Karnage was the only one able to climb back in the ring before the ten count. He continued the reign for “The Syndicate Crew” as the Tag Team Champions.

Match 4

ATL Match

Rick Santel vs. Domino

Santel was off to a fast start. Domino wanted no part of it so he was able to quickly gain control due to his size advantage. Domino slammed Santel’s back into the ring pole. Santel tried to fight back punching and kneeing Domino in the gut. Domino once again overpowered Santel and tossed him into the corner. Santel caught Domino with an elbow as he ran in but Domino just shook it off. Domino kicked Santel who fell to the floor. Santel was able to use the ropes to clothesline Domino as he was getting back into the ring. Santel spin kicked Domino but was only able to score a two count before the referee was pulled out of the ring by Big Bully Douglas. Santel won via DQ in 11:01. Douglas then knocked out Santel with his “TKO”.

Match 5

Mark Anthony vs. Steve-O

Steve-O worked on the arm of Anthony then drop kicked him head first to the floor. Anthony wanted a time out but Steve-O would not let him take a break. He went back kicking, twisting and elbowing Anthony’s arm. The fans cheered for Steve-O to “break it!!” Anthony did an uppercut on Steve-O to release the hold and then a monkey flip. Anthony did a back summersault from the middle ropes onto Steve-O, who was able to lift his knees as Anthony landed. Steve-O climbed to the top turnbuckle and came off with a cross body. The momentum was enough for Anthony to flip Steve-O over for the cover and hold him down with his feet on the ropes to get the pin fall in11:36. Steve-O and the fans wanted 5 more minutes. The referee granted his request and threw out the first pin fall win. Mark Anthony did not want to continue the match but had no choice so he returned to the ring at the eight count. Anthony chopped Steve-O a few times. Steve-O then set up for a sunset flip. Anthony was able to grab the ropes to avoid the cover. The referee seen he was holding on and kicked his hands off. The winner in 0.36 was Steve-O by pin fall and he was awarded the victory in the match.

Match 6

ATL Match

Big Bully Douglas vs. ATL Heavyweight Champion Shane Williams

According to the fans, Douglas had a chain but the referee could not find it. Williams was given a belt strap from the fans. Douglas cleared the ring immediately. The referee took the belt away since the fans still insisted that Douglas had a chain, Williams grabbed a chair to make it a fair fight. The ref then made sure both men had no foreign objects so they could have a clean wrestling match. Douglas had Williams in a wrist lock. As Williams stretched out to reach to ropes, Douglas stopped him by pulling his tights. Williams was determined to set himself free. He held the ref’s shoulder and Douglas had his other arm so Williams flipped between them to loosen the grip and he escaped. Douglas used his chain choking Williams each time he started to get the advantage. Williams then drop kicked Douglas which knocked the chain out of his hand. The ref did not know which man it came from so he just kicked it out of the ring. Douglas had yet a second chain that he also used to choke out Williams. Bully used any cheating method he could including pulling tights, hair, a chain, choking, and low blows. Williams ducked a clothesline and hit Douglas with a flyin’ fist. Douglas dropped the chain and it fell onto the floor which made him really mad. Williams had a burst of energy and did a spin kick to Douglas and stomped him on the mat. Rick Santel came back to ringside and climbed on the apron. Bully Douglas was distracted and told the ref to make him leave. Williams used the interruption to his advantage by rolling up Douglas for the win in 18:31.

Match 7

FAN APPRECIATION LUMBERJACK STRAP MATCH

NWA Mid America Heavyweight Champion “Outlaw” Lee Condry w/Pam Condry

vs.

“The Syndicate Crew” Psycho Medic w/DeAngelo, Karnage & LA Player

If Pam or any member of “The Syndicate Crew” interfered they were able to be strapped!!

This match also had a SPECIAL REFEREE-----KILO

Psycho Medic pushed the referee so he was pushed back. Kilo made sure that Psycho Medic was aware he would call the match right down the middle but was not going to be ran over by Psycho Medic. Condry was quick to throw Psycho Medic out to the floor. The lumberjacks were glad as they strapped him all the way around the ring until he found an opening to re-enter. Condry then gave Psycho Medic a shoulder tackle and a swinging neck breaker. Psycho Medic fought back to his feet and hit a huge splash on Condry before delivering a DDT. He went for the pin but Condry kicked out before the three count. Psycho Medic hit Condry in the throat then tossed him to the floor. The lumberjacks allowed Condry some breathing time which made Medic angry. LA Player and DeAngelo ran over to Condry and rolled him back into the ring. Since they involved themselves, the lumberjacks gave them a vicious strapping on the back side. Karnage saw what happened so he was determined only to watch and not to intervene. Condry then hit Psycho Medic with a sphere and once again tossed him to the floor. Medic could not return to the ring fast enough. “Outlaw” grabbed a huge belt strap from one of the fans and strapped Medic inside the ring also. Kilo had no choice but to call for the bell. Psycho Medic was the winner in 16:15 but the title was not on the line. Condry was confused since it was a strap match why he was disqualified. Kilo explained only the lumberjacks could use the straps since it was a lumberjack strap match. Next week, Condry will team with Kilo to face Psycho Medic and a partner of his choice. Psycho Medic told Condry and Kilo that he has a partner in mind but he would not reveal who it is until next week.

Match 1

Jason X & Manga w/Miss Opium vs. 2-Bit & Antonio

Antonio and 2-Bit started the match off to a fast start. Jason X and Manga made their way to the floor. The fans started the “Chicken!” chant. 2-Bit was able to get a two count on Manga before Manga tossed him to the floor. Jason X and Miss Opium worked on the leg of 2-Bit. Manga and Jason X were swapping in and out of the ring without tagging. Antonio tried to warn the ref but he did not witness it so he could not reprimand them for it. 2-Bit felt an intense double suplex but somehow was able to roll to his corner for a tag. Antonio ran in and was tossed right over the top rope by Manga. 2-Bit jumped Jason X from behind and scored the win in 11:06.

Match 2

“Nerdy White Boy” Jay Jacobs

vs.

“American Nightmare” Johnny Demento w/Sexy Jessi

Jacobs was upset that Demento’s hand was in his hair when he was backed up in the corner. Jacobs left the ring. Sexy Jessi was not going to allow him to just walk away from the match so she chased him around the ring and then tossed him back in to Demento. Jacobs missed a splash on Demento. The “American Nightmare” arm dragged Jacobs then drop kicked him back onto the floor. Sexy Jessi tossed him back into the ring again. Jacobs warned her to keep her hands off of him. Jacobs then choked Demento with the ropes. The “American Nightmare” retaliated with a face buster for the win in 5:38.

Match 3

X-Division Title Match

Cody Whitehead w/The Avenger (Challenger)

vs.

Brandon Stone w/Johnny Gunnz (Champion)

Once they locked up, Stone attacked the arm of Whitehead. Stone then missed an elbow in the corner an hit the turnbuckle. Cody then punched Stone and tossed him to the concrete floor. The Avenger stomped him and slammed his back into the ring. Whitehead was able to get a two count on Stone. Cody then did a backdrop on Brandon but he would not give up since his title was on the line. Cody Whitehead missed a leg drop off the tope rope. Brandon Stone capitalized with a frog splash and was able to get the victory in 6:14. After the match, The Avenger jumped Stone to help Cody. Johnny Gunnz climbed into the ring even though his sprained knee is still hurting to help his friend. He was then attacked by The Avenger and Whitehead who went straight for his knee. Brandon Stone made it back to his feet and nailed Cody in the back of the head with a metal pan.

Match 4

"The Syndicate Crew" Psycho Medic, Karnage, LA Player & DeAngelo

vs.

“Prototype” Bobby Surge & Shady Grady

Bobby Surge had the upper hand on LA Player until “The Syndicate Crew” took over by using their normal tactics. Surge finally tagged in Shady Grady. Grady and Surge tossed Psycho Medic and LA Player into each other and then did the same to DeAngelo and Karnage. Medic delivered a low blow to Surge then tossed him out of the ring. When Shady Grady turned around he felt the double super kick by DeAngelo and LA Player and then was pinned in 7:18.

Match 5

“Impact Inc.“ Michael White w/Xstacy vs. Steve-O

Steve-O kicked White in the arm then arm dragged him. White grabbed the ropes to break the hold. White slung Steve-O to the floor head first. Xstacy was thankful because she was able to help in injuring Steve-O. White was able to get a two count only. Steve-O was trying to regroup. He hit Michael with a flying forearm. Steve-O kipped up and knocked White down to the floor with a drop kick. JT Quest ran to ringside. The ref did not see him since Xstacy had his attention. Steve-O was suplexing Michael back into the ring to finish him off. Quest held the feet of Steve-O and White was able to get the win via pin fall in 9:48. “Impact Inc.” then battered the knee of Steve-O. Johnny Demento and Brandon Stone ran back to the ring to assist Steve-O.

Match 6

NWA Mid America Heavyweight Championship

“Outlaw” Lee Condry w/ Pam Condry (Champion)

vs.

“The Syndicate Crew” Psycho Medic w/YT (Challenger)

Medic was able to back Condry up into the corner by pulling his hair. The crowd started the “We want Chops!” chant so Condry obliged. Condry nailed Medic with an elbow to the top of his head. YT grabbed the leg of Condry. The fans were hoping Condry would then chop YT. Lee did chase him around the ring. When he re-entered, Psycho Medic clotheslined him and then worked on breaking his knee in a half Boston crab. Condry would not tap since his belt was on the line. Condry then ducked three clotheslines and planted Medic in the center of the ring with a sphere. DeAngelo, Karnage and LA Player jumped into the ring and they also all received a sphere. “Outlaw” then clobbered Medic with a spin kick and was able to get the 1-2-3 in 9:35 to retain the gold.

Match 7

“Mr. Impact” JT Quest w/Xstacy and Brittany

Vs.

“Wildside” Chris Champion

Champion started with a step over toe hold to knock Quest off his feet. then he chased the two valets around the ring. JT Quest choked Champion with the bottom rope when he got back into the ring. Quest then planted his forearm into the kidney area of Chris Champion and then "Mr. Impact" low blowed him. Champion was then powerslammed since he was not able to fight back for the moment after the pain he had endured. Finally, Champion was tired of the abuse Quest was giving him and they exchanged several punches. Again, Quest low blowed Chris Champion. "Wildside" was able to fight back with all his might and roll up Quest for the win in 12:03. Michael White, "Impact Inc." member, came to the ring and jumped Champion. Brittany was asking Quest, Xstacy and White to stop beating on Champion. They did not like her opposing their tactics so Xstacy kneed her in the gut as White and Quest was finishing what they started with Champion. Johnny Demento and Sexy Jessi came to Champion's aid. Sexy Jessi was ready to fight Xstacy but all of "Impact, Inc." cleared the ring. Champion and Brittany were laid out in the center of the ring.

and

PRO WRESTLING EXPRESS
presents

"DRAFTED: A Split Decision"

on
SATURDAY JANUARY 20TH- 7:30 pm
at the
JACOB WOLL PAVILION - McKEESPORT, PA

The stars of the National Wrestling Alliance return to action on Saturday, January 20th at Renzie Park’s Jacob Woll Pavilion in McKeesport, PA at 7:30pm. Tickets are only $12 for ringside, and $10 general admission. Kids age 12 and under are only $6.

LIVE DRAFT: PWX AND AWC WILL HOLD A DRAFT OF ALL WRESTLERS!!

Paul Atlas' AWC has completed their quest to defeat Jim Miller's PWX after Atlas' chosen man 'Dangerous' Damien Kass pinned Miller's chosen man 'Spotlight' Scottie Gash in the final PWX versus AWC encounter. To the winner goes the spoils and Paul Atlas has cashed in with AWC presenting their own live show on the same night as a PWX show with PWX flipping the bill for it all!

Both PWX and AWC will present live events on the same card as each promotion has a half to work with. The catch? A live draft will take place on January 20th with EVERY PWX and AWC wrestler up for grabs!!

Despite reports on the official website showing where each wrestler had agreed to wrestle, both Paul Atlas and Jim Miller have agreed to the live draft after Atlas seriously pushed the issue this past week. The only things known at this time is that the referees will be available to both sides, PWX Heavyweight Champion Chris Taylor is with PWX, and that the AWC is on the clock to make the first actual draft choice!!

This proposition raises numerous questions:

Will wrestlers that have not been seen in a long time return and be drafted?

How will Paul Atlas' hand selected top man and PWX Heavyweight Champion Chris Taylor react to having to wrestle for PWX since he is the champion? And, more importantly, since he is largely responsible for PWX's loss in this war....

Who will AWC take first? Someone on the current roster or a surprise?

Can PWX bounce back once their roster is invaded with the draft?

What will happen with the Three Rivers and Brass Knuckles Titles? Rumor has it the Three Rivers Title is up for debate with BOTH sides...

Will the first ever AWC Heavyweight Champion be crowned on the 20th?

PWX HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH:

CHAMPION CHRIS TAYLOR WILL DEFEND THE TITLE

Jim Miller has stated that PWX Heavyweight Champion Chris Taylor will defend the title at the show on January 20th. The only problem is that no-one knows who it will be against as Taylor is the only man that has a chosen home.

Taylor has run roughshot over the promotion since his title win at the Anniversary Show, but he has had the knowledge of who his opponent is each time. Can Taylor survive without any preparation? Or without any help from Paul Atlas?

One thing is for sure; Chris Taylor has said he will address his situation at the show and has shown confidence by stating that he will take on anyone that crosses his path.

AWC CHAMPION CROWNED??

Paul Atlas has been tight-lipped about whether a new AWC Champion will be crowned at this show, but there certainly will be interesting steps taken towards that goal if no champion is crowned on the 20th.

There is no denying that the AWC will crown a heavyweight champion which will be yet another severe blow to PWX as there is sure to be a dispute over which heavyweight champion is the true man walking the walk.

THREE RIVERS TITLE'S FATE WILL BE DECIDED

The Three Rivers Title has been a hot debate between AWC and PWX over the last couple of weeks. Paul Atlas was the last champion, but Jim Miller attempted to strip of the title due to his injury and defection. Atlas maintains that the title is now an AWC sanctioned title. Miller has the belt in his possession and states that it is a PWX Title that dates back to 2000.

Both men and promotions have made thier arguements without a true resolution. One rumor has the title itself going into the live draft and eligible to be drafted to a side. Another rumor has Paul Atlas placing the title around 'Dangerous' Damien Kass' waist, but what if Kass is drafted to PWX?

Devil Bhudkahn even has given an interview on the official website stating what he has been informed of the regarding the title.

The prized Three Rivers Title issue shall be resolved at the January 20th event as both AWC and PWX have at least agreed to end any further speculation there and then.

PLUS,

All of the stars of PWX and AWC will be there live including; 'Hangman' Crusher Hansen, 'Spotlight' Scottie Gash, Devil Bhudakahn, Dash Bennett, 'Syko' Sean Dahmer, the undefeated Blue Dragon, 'Platinum Status' Dan Miles, Apollyon, 'Dangerous' Damien Kass, Krystal Frost and more!!! But where will each person end up?????

HELP KONNAN
TNA superstar Konnan is going through a very difficult
time in his life and could use the help of the
wrestling community. In addition to needing a hip
replacement from 20 years of abuse in the squared
circle, Konnan also learned that he's in desperate need
of a kidney transplant. Unfortunately, he does not
have medical insurance and the procedure is a costly
one (if a donor/transplant can be found). A special
fund has been set up to off set up through Paypal. You
can send donations of any size to getwellkonnan@aol.com
- TNA has around a million or so fans watching Impact
every Thursday, imagine if each fan donated just $1 to
help out. It would exceed his financial need and help
out one of our brothers.
