CAPW News Update 5/17: Matches added to 6/3 event!

Cleveland All Pro Wrestling News: May 17, 2007

MORE MATCHES SIGNED FOR NEXT CAPW LIVE EVENT: SUNDAY, JUNE 3!

Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling returns to the famed Turner’s Hall, located at 7325 Guthrie Ave. in Cleveland, on Sunday afternoon June 3 with “A Hot Summer Night“. Doors open at 2 p.m. for our belltime of 3 p.m. This WILL be a taping for CAPW TV on Sports Time Ohio, so bring your signs, banners, and enthusiasm, and be prepared to have your image available in nearly 3 million homes in the state of Ohio, and nationwide on select systems. Tickets are available in advance at any of our ticket outlets, and also at the door the afternoon of the event. Get ready for three solid hours of the best professional wrestling in the area: Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling.

Just added to the card this week:

CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Title Match: Super Hentai vs. Shiima Xion
Super Hentai solidified his CAPW singles career at our last live event when he defeated Zach Gowen to capture his first singles gold in Cleveland, adding this accomplishment to an extensive list of other titles he’s captured around the world. However, Hentai finds himself the central focus of an extremely competitive division. The first of many deserving challengers is “The Future of Fashion” Shiima Xion, who certainly goes back a long way with Hentai. Not only were Hentai & Shiima a short-lived tag team combination here in CAPW before choosing to pursue careers in the singles ranks, but Hentai also was instrumental in Shiima Xion’s training to become a professional wrestler some years back. It’s a case of teacher vs. student on June 3 as Xion attempts to surpass his former mentor and become Jr. Heavyweight champion.

Grudge Match: JT Lightning vs. Marion Fontaine
JT Lightning & Da Munchies have spent the past several months claiming to be the “World Six-Man Tag Team Champions” despite the fact that particular title has been defunct for the past several years. To prove their point, they’ve presented a series of trophies, medals, and alleged accomplishments that are irrational and impossible to say the least. While you often can’t take what comes out of these men’s mouths seriously, one thing that must always be taken seriously is their ability and track record inside the ring. Marion Fontaine learned that lesson the hard way, as JT & Da Munchies absolutely obliterated him with countless knife-edge chops, turning Fontaine’s chest several different shades of red and purple. A rematch has been signed, but will the “Mega Star” be able to fend off JT’s uncontrolled aggression or will one-third of the mythical tag team champions make another statement?

Da Munchies vs. Shawn Blaze & Ponyboy TJ Dynamite
Da Munchies, Dick Trimmins & Too Cool Abdul, were also very instrumental in the massacre laid into Marion Fontaine, and Fontaine’s partners in Mega Sexy, “Simply Sexy” Shawn Blaze, and the team’s newest recruit Ponyboy TJ Dynamite certainly have not forgotten it. Blaze & Dynamite attempt to extract revenge for their partner in this tag team encounter. Four men who certainly are not well-liked by CAPW fans, but have quite a bit to fight for as far as pride is concerned.

Jessica Havok’s Open Challenge
In just a short time, Jessica Havok has already proven herself to be the most dominant physically imposing female to ever enter CAPW, so much so that JT Lightning was quick to sign her as his personal bodyguard. Havok has made quick work of just about everyone she’s been in the ring with, male and female, culminating at our past show when she defeated FOUR opponents in a row, before finally succumbing to a hellacious Gore from the “War Machine” Rhino. However, not even Rhino can keep Havok down as she is back and seeking more competition. Who will step up to the plate this month? Our sources hope to have more information in the upcoming weeks.

In addition to our main event, already signed:

CAPW Heavyweight Title: Tracy Smothers vs. The Blue Meanie
It’s a feud that has been ongoing for ten years and counting, and shows no signs of letting up. The Smothers/Meanie bad blood began back in the original ECW, with Smothers representing the Full Blooded Italians (FBI) and Meanie representing the Blue World Order (bWo). After a series of unforgettable wrestling contests, as well as dance-offs, nothing was settled. The rivalry was re-ignited two years ago after a falling out between the two stemming from the aftermath of the controversial first WWE ECW One Night Stand pay-per-view. They’ve battled each other all over the US and into Europe, but never have they met for a major singles title, but June 3 in Cleveland the stakes are raised as Meanie attempts to dance his way to CAPW gold, and Smothers attempts to capture any momentum he can leading into a potential ominous encounter with Bane.

B.E.T. vs. The Clash
Tyrone Evans and Josh Emanuel have formed a very formidable and intimidating duo to add to the already stacked CAPW Tag Team Division, calling themselves B.E.T. While we’re still unsure what exactly that stands for, their track record in the ring is something that cannot be mistaken. However, B.E.T. did not count on seeing a couple of old rivals come onto the CAPW scene shortly afterward: The team of Brian Bender & Ernie Ballz, collectively known as The Clash, followed B.E.T. into CAPW and were quick to make a challenge. These teams have met several times throughout Ohio in the past, but on June 3 their feud gets taken to the next level as it will be on display in CAPW for the very first time.
Many more matches to be announced in the coming weeks!

CAPW BIGGEST SHOW EVER COMING AUGUST 5!

Traditionally, CAPW provides its biggest and best live event of the calendar year during the summer as Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling celebrates its anniversary in style. This year, however, CAPW takes it one step farther. The announcement was made official this past Sunday that on Sunday, August 5, Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling makes its debut in the Plain Dealer Pavilion, located on 2014 Sycamore Street to celebrate our anniversary with “A Night of Legends”. It’ll be the largest, most star-studded happening in Cleveland All-Pro history! Come join the record-breaking crowd that will be on hand to witness all the biggest, best, and brightest stars from wrestling’s past, present, and future.

Following a wild altercation at our last live event, the evening’s main event has already been penciled in. Should Tracy Smothers escape our June 3rd live event still CAPW Heavyweight Champion, he will finally step into the ring one-on-one against the 6’8 300+ pound unstoppable Jason Bane. Smothers has been ducking Bane’s challenge and screwing him at every opportunity, culminating at our last event when Smothers was directly responsible for Bane losing his Television Title to Conrad Kennedy III, shattering Bane’s hopes of unifying CAPW’s two top singles titles for the second time. Now, Bane will face Smothers one-on-one, and there will be nowhere for Tracy to hide, no shortcut for him to take… because the match takes place inside a 15 foot high STEEL CAGE!

Much much more will be revealed about CAPW’s Plain Dealer Pavilion debut set for August 5th. Stay posted to our CAPW Newslines as well as CAPW.net for all the updated information!

Cleveland All Pro Wrestling News 5/3: Final Card for this Sunday!

Cleveland All Pro Wrestling News: May 3, 2007

SPECIAL BONUS MATCH ADDED TO THIS SUNDAY’S LIVE EVENT!

Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling returns to the famed Turner’s Hall, located at 7325 Guthrie Ave. in Cleveland, on Sunday afternoon May 6.

In addition to our scheduled card, a late addition has been added, and it’s an addition that’s certainly going to please all fans of CAPW, specifically of the Jr. Heavyweight Division. Five of the best Junior heavyweights will be gathered together in one ring for one of the wildest most unpredictable confrontations ever, and we can confirm that several very important wrestling dignitaries from all over the country will have their eyes firmly locked on the CAPW ring. Officials from the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup, an annual event based out of Florida that has grown to become one of the most prestigious tournaments in professional wrestling today, will be scouting this match-up searching for perhaps the next individual deemed worthy in their eyes of competing for the Peterson crown. The five men officially confirmed as of now are as follows:

Alex Shelley vs. M-Dogg 20 vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Super Hentai vs. Shiima Xion

It is no doubt impossible to find a more talented collection of Jr. Title contenders than these five. And with the eyes of the wrestling world, and no doubt Jr. Champion Zach Gowen, focused on this particular match, all five men are no doubt prepared to do whatever it takes to come out on top.

This in addition to other blockbuster matches already signed:

CAPW Heavyweight Title: Tracy Smothers vs. “The War Machine” Rhino
Tracy Smothers is credited as helping get Rhino hired in the original ECW some years ago, but clearly the good natured gestures are very much in these men’s pasts. Tracy has dominated CAPW as its heavyweight champion all year, but now faces the challenge of a former ECW and NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Rhino is 6’2”, 280 lbs. of aggression and has been nearly unstoppable through most of his entire career. Now Rhino returns to Cleveland with the hope of adding CAPW gold to his resume, however will his brute strength be enough to counter one of the craftiest veterans to ever step inside of a ring? Can Smothers outsmart Rhino and escape with the title or will the Wild Eyed Southern Boy be cut in half with a Gore!?

CAPW Television Title: Jason Bane vs. Conrad Kennedy III
The unstoppable Bane is still in pursuit of CAPW Heavyweight Champion Tracy Smothers following several encounters between the two that saw Smothers use every shortcut in the book to come out on top. While Bane is confident he can once again unify both of CAPW’s top singles championships, he’ll have to get through Conrad Kennedy III on May 6th before he can even think about Smothers. CK3 has proven himself dangerous and effective in virtually every environment he’s been placed into, and if anyone can topple the monster known as Bane, it could be the resourceful CK3. Rumors state that Tracy Smothers has already attempted to contact CK3, although the details of the call are not known. Is Smothers searching for more allies to help keep Bane as far away from the CAPW Title as possible?

CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Title: Zach Gowen vs. Super Hentai
The One-Legged Wonder makes another defense of the coveted Jr. Heavyweight Title against a man who is a relative newcomer to CAPW, but has toured the world forging a reputation for himself for nearly a decade. Super Hentai has won big time matches and championships from here to Japan and Hawaii and back, and has wrestled and oftentimes beaten many of the top X Division stars currently showcased on TNA television. Super Hentai has the opportunity to capture gold in CAPW for the first time, but it will be no easy task in this match-up of two gutsy relentless competitors.

Grudge Match: Johnny Gargano vs. Alex Shelley
Gargano and Shelley met twice last year and both encounters were praised as some of the best technical wrestling encounters to be showcased in Cleveland in quite some time. Gargano and Shelley each scored one victory, but neither was able to decisively prove to the other who the better man was. Now, with Gargano intent on proving himself as the best Jr. Heavyweight in CAPW, whether or not he is Jr. Champion, Gargano issued the challenge to his toughest rival to finally have the long-awaited rubber match. It’s the cocky young upstart Gargano attempting to prove himself once and for all against the established international star Shelley in their third and final one-on-one meeting.

#1 Tag Title Contender Match: Michigan Invasion vs. Aftermath/Matthew Justice
CAPW’s tag team division is not only the most competitive division in CAPW, but perhaps the most competitive tag division anywhere in recent memory. At our last event, an unprecedented 26 tag teams split into 2 battle royals for the right to challenge whomever would survive the Ladder Match as tag team champions. The winners of the first battle royal, Aftermath & Matthew Justice, do battle with the winners of the second battle royal, Truth Martino & N8 Mattson, with the winners to receive a tag title shot that night!

Jessica Havok vs. Nikki & Sassy Stephanie
Jessica Havok has secured the position of JT Lightning’s personal bodyguard and after only a few short weeks on the job, she’s proven her worth to alleged six man tag title co-holder, establishing herself as the toughest woman to perhaps ever step foot into CAPW. The lack of competition for Havok has gotten to the point where she is openly accepting challengers from two women at a time. It will be a first for CAPW when we witness a 2-on-1 women’s handicap match.

Plus:
Da Munchies & JT Lightning make another defense of the mythical 6 man tag title!
Michael Hellborn & Barry Sagittarius vs. Hobo Joe and Gregory Iron!
Tyrone Evans & Josh Emanuel vs. Chris Hybrid & Jeff Brooks!
Ironman vs. Robbie Starr!

Tickets WILL be available at the door, do not miss out this Sunday on the live CAPW Experience!

Just added to the card this week…

CAPW Television Title: Jason Bane vs. Conrad Kennedy III
The unstoppable Bane is still in pursuit of CAPW Heavyweight Champion Tracy Smothers following several encounters between the two that saw Smothers use every shortcut in the book to come out on top. While Bane is confident he can once again unify both of CAPW’s top singles championships, he’ll have to get through Conrad Kennedy III on May 6th before he can even think about Smothers.

The lack of competition for Havok has gotten to the point where she is openly accepting challengers from two women at a time. It will be a first for CAPW when we witness a 2-on-1 women’s handicap match.

NEXT WEEK
We have learned breaking news regarding an addition to the show… none other than “M-Dogg 20” Matt Cross WILL be in action, and officials are currently finalizing what is being described as a ‘potentially show-stealing bonus match’ involving M-Dogg and several other members of CAPW’s Junior Heavyweight Division. The specifics and exact participants WILL be announced right here next week.

All this in addition to matches already announced…

Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling News: Full 4-15 Show Results; 5-6 Feat. Smothers, Rhino, Shelley, more!

Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling News: April 19, 2007

THIS PAST SUNDAY: CLEAR TAG CHAMPIONS CROWNED AS 6 MEN MAKE HISTORY

This past Sunday saw the culmination of a red-hot tag team rivalry that has consumed the CAPW Tag Team Titles for much of the past six months. The struggle of Faith in Nothing to cement their legacy as the best tag team in Ohio, and Q&A and Irish Airborne’s quest to prove otherwise led to one of the most breathtaking and phenomenal altercations in the storied history of CAPW. Knowing that months of work and sacrifice boiled down to this one very moment, all six men gave of their hearts & souls, sacrificed their health, their careers, and their livelihoods for the chance to reach the pinnacle of their division, for the right to be called the best. All six men left battered and bruised but only two men left as champions. Throught all the chaos, Christian Faith & Vincent Nothing were able to not win, but survive, and retain the tag team titles. Faith in Nothing have proved they are the best tag team in Ohio today, but all six men proved the more than showed the heart, guts, and determination of being a champion.

Stay tuned to Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling on Sports Time Ohio in the coming weeks, and be on the look-out for the broadcast of this very special and unforgettable encounter.

JOHNNY GARGANO HAS A SPECIAL STATEMENT TO MAKE

CAPW’s hottest prospect, 19-year-old Johnny Gargano hasn’t been the same, hasn’t had the same swagger to his step, since losing the CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Title a couple of months ago. Gargano feeds his ego on being better than everyone around him, and certainly without that title belt, it’s hard to claim to be the best. Gargano has been desperate to regain the spotlight and acclaim that came with being champion, but with CAPW management currently denying him a rematch citing “unprofessional conduct” as its main reason, Gargano has had to search elsewhere to establish himself. Gargano requested we print a statement from him this week, and here is Mr. Gargano’s statement in its entirety:

"First things’ first, I'd just like to state Zach Gowen is a low-down, dirty cheater! He faked an injury AND pulled the tights. Now he's ducking me for my rematch? Some champion he is. Way to represent the company, pal. Zach Gowen is half the man I am…literally! I am STILL the top guy in CAPW, the face of Cleveland All Pro, title or no title. If I can't have a title shot to prove that, then I have a different way to go about it. I have a challenge to make. I'm challenging one of my toughest opponents to date, an international star, one of the top guys in the world today, ALEX SHELLEY. Shelley, the score is tied buddy, I beat you once and you (in a fluke, mind you) beat me once. It's time to settle this thing once and for all. So what I'm proposing, May 6th, CAPW, two of the biggest rivals lock up one more time! Gargano/Shelley 3! Alex, the ball’s in your court, don't drop it. You may know me very well, but there’s only one thing to remember: W.W.J.D. What Won't Johnny Do? Be there Alex, and experience it again, first-hand. Toodles!"

Gargano’s encounters with Alex Shelley last year were nothing short of technical classics. Although both men proved themselves as among the best mat wrestlers in the world, it has yet to be proven who between them is the better man. Over the next week, we’ll inform both CAPW management and Mr. Shelley of this challenge and report the results back to you in one week’s time.

CAPW News 4/5: Vincent Nothing speaks out, matches added!

Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling: April 5, 2007

VINCENT NOTHING SPEAKS OUT ON APRIL 15 LADDER MATCH

We are under two weeks away from what could potentially be the most dangerous match in CAPW history as three teams with absolutely everything at stake step foot into a no-rules, death-defying free-for-all, as six men enter the unpredictable environment that is…the Ladder Match. Add such a risky stipulation to the CAPW Tag Team Titles being on the line as well, and the prestige in this match is unmistakable.

This past week, right here, we spoke to Unknown of Q&A, who once again let his feelings known that he and Virus are the uncrowned CAPW Tag Champs and teams like Irish Airborne, in their minds, don’t even deserve to be in tag title contention. This week, we go straight to the top and speak to one-half of the CAPW Tag Champions, Vincent Nothing of Faith in Nothing, who’s been right at the center of this controversy, and was the one who issued the Ladder Match challenge following Q&A’s flagrant use of a ladder last month. In this interview conducted by CAPW commentator Joe Dombrowski, here is what Vincent Nothing had to say regarding his challengers and April 15th:

JD: Mr. Nothing, you and Christian Faith have reigned as tag champions for the past several months. In that time, you’ve faced numerous tough challenges. How would you assess the CAPW tag division as a whole and your performance within it?

VN: I think the tag division in CAPW has begun to really take shape and become loaded with some great competition, especially over the last few months. Some great teams have started to show up and currently we are on the top of the mountain with no signs of coming down anytime soon.

JD: Shortly after your capturing the tag titles, a new tag team burst onto the scene, immediately becoming top contenders to your gold, that being Jake & Dave Crist, collectively known as Irish Airborne. You’ve had the opportunity to step into the ring with them on more than one occasion. How would you assess the Airborne’s CAPW tenure thus far?

VN: Anybody who knows anything about wrestling right now has heard of Irish Airborne and knows what a great team these two are. The Crist brothers really push us to our limits every time we step into the ring with them, but on TWO occasions we still managed to overcome them for the victory. So, do I think they are a great tag team? Yes, of course. But them coming into our home arena and taking our hard earned titles is not something that I will predict you seeing anytime soon.

JD: Also established as top contenders are Virus & Unknown, Q&A, who have spent months claiming themselves the uncrowned champions, saying both Faith in Nothing and the Airborne have no business competing for those titles. How do you respond?

VN: It's really sad to see what has happened to the overall attitude of Q&A over the past few shows, they just keep sinking lower and lower. Ask any fan who pays money to sit in their seat who they think is the top team in CAPW and they will answer the same every time - Faith In Nothing. No team has yet to match our size, our strength, our chemistry, or our intensity. Q&A can talk all they want, but the fact of the matter is that they have managed to make real enemies with not ONE, but TWO of the best tag teams on the scene today.

JD: Certainly the struggle between all three teams in recent months has been nothing short of hectic, but on April 15, it all comes to an end in a Ladder Match. This is certainly going to be the most dangerous and unpredictable environment you’ve ever defended the tag titles in. What are your states of mind leading into this match and what do you hope to accomplish when all the dust is settled?

VN: Joe Dombrowski, I personally asked for this match to take place. It is the only way to settle this dispute once and for all. In a ladder match, there are no rules and there are no boundaries - you and the fans have yet to see the kind of mayhem that Faith In Nothing can cause in that type of environment. We are prepared for war and are anticipating nothing less then total domination. This is our match, Christian Faith and I are looking forward to the punishment that we are going to inflict and the punishment that our bodies are going to take - we have never ducked a challenge and refuse to accept defeat. I hope the other teams are prepared.

CAPW LIVE ON APRIL 15!

Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling returns to the famed Turner’s Hall, located at 7325 Guthrie Ave. in Cleveland, on Sunday afternoon April 15.
Just added to the card…

CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Title: Zach Gowen vs. Barry Sagittarius
“The One Legged Wonder” re-emerges in CAPW for his first appearance and first title defense since unseating prior champion Johnny Gargano some weeks ago. While it remains to be seen if Gowen will have a response to the sickening attack Gargano perpetrated on Gowen using Gowen’s own cane after that match, the Tenacious One will have his hands full with one of CAPW’s most bizarre and unique characters in Barry Sagittarius. Sagittarius is a tough customer on his own, but should he decide to not come alone, namely with his frequent tag partner Michael Hellborn, the odds for Zach may once again appear to be insurmountable. Will CAPW’s answer to The Odd Couple see their first title reign or will Zach persevere once again?

Tag Team Battle Royal
With the current war between Tag Champions Faith in Nothing, Irish Airborne, and Q&A finally reaching it’s climax on April 15th, CAPW management already have plans in store to determine future top contenders and rankings within the CAPW Tag Team ranks. Officials have signed an Open Invitational Tag Team Battle Royal open to any and every tag team that wants to make its mark within a CAPW ring. While no teams have officially been named, a quick glance up and down the Cleveland All-Pro roster reveals several hungry deserving teams that would sacrifice anything to be called the best.
Already announced…

CAPW Heavyweight Title: Tracy Smothers vs. Buff Bagwell
When presented with recent complaints from CAPW wrestlers and fans over the recent actions of Tracy Smothers (including, but not limited to, his vicious attack of Gregory Iron), CAPW management made the decision to remove The Wild Eyed Southern Boy from scheduled tag team competition and ORDERED Smothers to defend his championship on April 15. His opponent is a man who’s held CAPW gold before, a man who’s battled Smothers with CAPW gold on the line in wars that saw no clear winner. Smothers will have to defend against the multi-time former WCW World Tag Team Champion Buff Bagwell! Bagwell has been a major player when it comes to CAPW title matches for several years now, and Buff Daddy feels its long overdue to have gold around his waist once again. Will the sneaky Smothers be able to survive another title defense?

CAPW Tag Title Ladder Match: Faith in Nothing vs. Irish Airborne vs. Q&A
It’s the news that fans and insider alike are still buzzing about, as CAPW’s ultra-competitive tag title division gets taken to the next level. For the past several months, Irish Airborne and Q&A have fought amongst themselves in an attempt to crown a clear #1 contender to the gold. Meanwhile, champions Faith in Nothing have been on a mission to begin a legacy of dominance and defeat all top challengers soundly and decisively. None of the three teams has been able to accomplish any of their goals, thanks to the intense infighting and brawling that’s interrupted seemingly every tag team title and contender match in recent months. The only way to settle the issue is to take the rules, and throw them out the window and place all 3 teams in the ring at once. And as a result of Q&A’s attempted assault on the other two teams while using a ladder, it was only natural to raise the stakes further and make it a Ladder Match. Six men will go all-out, risk life and limb for the glory that comes with being called champion, but only one team will survive. There WILL be a clear and decisive winner April 15 in Turner’s Hall!

CAPW Television Title: Jason Bane vs. Johnny Gargano
Johnny Gargano has had a mixed bag of success lately. While he’s fighting to stay alive in the Junior Heavyweight Division, he experienced a feat of success very few in the business get to achieve, wrestling on international television on WWE Smackdown. However, Gargano has never, anywhere, been in the ring with the likes of 6’8 300+ pound Jason Bane. Bane is a non-stop wrecking machine and continues to plow through every contender lined up in front of him. Will Bane add another tally to the list or will the crafty Gargano be able to lay claim to another CAPW Championship?

CAPW News 3/29: Unknown Interview, JT Lightning and more!

Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling News: March 29, 2007

COUNTDOWN TO THE LADDER MATCH CONTINUES: UNKNOWN INTERVIEWED

On Sunday afternoon, April 15 at Turner's Hall, months of controversy will end as Irish Airborne, Q&A, and CAPW Tag Champions Faith in Nothing collide in the same ring at the same time in a Ladder Match to finally establish who can rightfully call themselves the best team in CAPW.

Without question, a Ladder Match is among the most difficult matches to prepare for in all of wrestling. With that in mind, we'll attempt in the coming weeks to speak with representatives from each of the three teams involved in order to get in in-depth look at their state of mind as the match draws ever so closer.

This week, CAPW Broadcaster Joe Dombrowski talks to Q&A, more specifically Unknown, speaking on behalf of himself and tag partner Virus:

JD: You last held the CAPW Tag Team Titles this past summer before being stripped of the championships following a controversial title defense. Take us back to that period in time and what went through your minds once you realized you were no longer champions.

U: Well, after a loss to The Suplex Machines, Virus and I were devastated. Ray Rowe tore Virus' shoulder, and there wasn't much left that we could do. At that time, I decided to go it alone and take on the Suplex Machines without Virus to recapture the CAPW gold for us. After teaming up with Abyss, we pinned Bane and Rowe, but were not awarded the titles. The whole thing was extremely bogus. Those titles meant everything to Q+A. We worked so hard beating opponent after opponent to keep them, only to lose them on a technicality. From that point on, we decided we don't care about the fans, CAPW management, or anyone else. We are on a mission to regain OUR titles.

JD: Upon your return from a sabbatical, you began battling Irish Airborne in an attempt to become #1 Contenders to Tag Champions Faith In Nothing, but it seems a lot of your resentment for the Crists seems personal, particularly when they were chosen to challenge for the tag titles ahead of you two. How do you respond?

U: We've seen Irish Airborne travel and have success all over the place, making it to HWA and ROH, and we respect that. But when they came to CAPW, they came to Q+A's house. I know they're great wrestlers, I just don't see exactly what they've done to deserve a title shot. Who have they beat? I mean these guys have been in CAPW for like 4 months and they're getting tag team title shots, one after another? Don't think so. And to have the title shot come down to a coin toss was really a slap in the face to our team and the company.

JD: When the time came for the Crists to challenge Faith in Nothing, they encountered rather suspicious "transportation problems" and perhaps even more suspicious was the fact the two of you were more than ready and prepared to challenge for the titles in their place, despite the two of you not being scheduled to compete at all that evening. Many have pointed their fingers at the both of you, accusing you of sabotaging Irish Airborne's title aspirations. Do you have a defense for yourselves?

U: Virus and I prepare night after night for combat. Just because we weren't on the card that night doesn't mean we weren't ready. We are always ready, I mean, isn't that what a good team does? I thought the Crists were doing alright for themselves, and it turns out they can't even afford a reliable car. But yet you turn it around on us. Well we are sorry for being ready, on time, and taking advantage of a golden opportunity. And sorry for being able to afford a car that got us to the show that day. We train for every night as if we're going in there to wrestle for the titles, and that's all there is to it.

JD: Over these past several months, Christian Faith & Vincent Nothing have been on a mission to carve out the beginning of a legacy, to prove themselves the most dominant team in the history of Cleveland . How would you rate their performance as champions thus far?

U: Well to be quite honest, we're more unimpressed with Faith In Nothing than we are with how badly CAPW has handled this tag team title situation. I mean, first the wrong team is granted a title shot via a COIN TOSS, and then when we get a shot, Vincent Nothing ducks us by hitting a referee to cause a DQ. That's just the example a champion should set, hit refs and you'll get to keep your titles. The fact of the matter is, size means nothing to us. Faith and Nothing were preparing for Irish Airborne, and when they saw us, they freaked. Plain and simple, they weren't ready to face us. We're too experienced and too consistent, so they took the easy way out. That's fine, but they will be no easy way out on April 15th.

JD: On Sunday, April 15, you two enter perhaps the battle of your careers as finally after months in the making, Q&A, Irish Airborne, and Faith in Nothing will meet in the center of the ring at the same time, and to up the ante, it will be a Ladder Match for the CAPW Tag Team Titles. It will certainly be a very dangerous high-stakes environment, what are your thoughts and expectations as we count down the days to this Ladder Match?

U: To tell you the truth, we don't know what to expect. One thing is for sure, it's going to be a war. Experience will be the deciding factor in this match. We held the CAPW tag team titles for a year. Nobody with half a brain could say that we don't have the advantage in this match-up. However, we do give up a significant size advantage, that can't be overlooked. We're ready, focused, and have plenty of tricks up our sleeves to recapture OUR CAPW tag team titles.

CAPW will attempt to obtain comments from another Ladder Match participant right here next week.

CAPW OFFICE RECEIVES ANGRY PHONE CALL FROM JT LIGHTNING

Last week, we extended our congratulations to the young prodigy of CAPW Johnny Gargano as a result of his appearance against MVP this past Friday night on WWE Smackdown. However, mere minutes after our release of that statement last week, we received an angry phone call from JT Lightning, who was speaking on behalf of himself as well as his frequent six-man tag team partners Da Munchies. When questioned why exactly he was so upset, it seems JT felt insulted that we neglected to congratulate him and his partners on their latest "accomplishment".

JT & Da Munchies are on a mission to become the greatest six-man tag team champions of all time. They've attempted to convince the masses, and apparently themselves, that they've defeated The Freebirds, Von Erichs, and a list of other legendary athletes in six-man matches. They've even begun carrying around a trophy that looks like it came straight from a pawn shop to attempt to hammer their point home. With that in mind, JT demanded that this week we extend our sincerest congratulations to JT Lightning & Da Munchies for….ahem….successfully defending their six-man tag title trophy last week, defeating The Road Warriors & Paul Ellering in a Chicago Streetfight. JT provided several alleged details of the incident, many of which too off-color to print here, but regardless it seems JT Lighting & Da Munchies are dead-serious about this six-man tag trophy campaign regardless of how logistically impossible their claims seem to get.

His opponent is a man who's held CAPW gold before, a man who's battled Smothers with CAPW gold on the line in wars that saw no clear winner.

It's the news that fans and insider alike are still buzzing about, as CAPW's ultra-competitive tag title division gets taken to the next level. None of the three teams has been able to accomplish any of their goals, thanks to the intense infighting and brawling that's interrupted seemingly every tag team title and contender match in recent months. The only way to settle the issue is to take the rules, and throw them out the window and place all 3 teams in the ring at once. And as a result of Q&A's attempted assault on the other two teams while using a ladder, it was only natural to raise the stakes further and make it a Ladder Match. Six men will go all-out, risk life and limb for the glory that comes with being called champion, but only one team will survive. There WILL be a clear and decisive winner April 15 in Turner's Hall!

CAPW Television Title: Jason Bane vs. Johnny Gargano
Johnny Gargano has had a mixed bag of success lately. While he's fighting to stay alive in the Junior Heavyweight Division, he experienced a feat of success very few in the business get to achieve, wrestling on international television on WWE Smackdown. However, Gargano has never, anywhere, been in the ring with the likes of 6'8 300+ pound Jason Bane. Bane is a non-stop wrecking machine and continues to plow through every contender lined up in front of him. Will Bane add another tally to the list or will the crafty Gargano be able to lay claim to another CAPW Championship?

BREAKING NEWS: LADDER MATCH CONFIRMED FOR SUNDAY APRIL 15!

This past Sunday at Turner’s Hall as part of the ever-escalating tag team title picture in CAPW, the stakes were officially raised to a level never seen before in CAPW.

It was scheduled to be Christian Faith & Vincent Nothing, CAPW Tag Team Champions Faith in Nothing defending against Jake & Dave Crist, The Irish Airborne. The Airborne was originally scheduled to challenge Faith in Nothing for the titles last month, however a mysterious and suspicious “transportation problem” conveniently left the Airborne unable to appear and even more conveniently, Virus & Unknown, Q&A, just happened to be completely prepared to challenge for the titles in their place. However, despite defeating the champions via disqualification that night, CAPW management ruled Q&A would NOT receive a rematch the next month, and instead that match would go to the rightful top contenders to the gold, The Irish Airborne.

The Airborne were more determined than ever headed into our live event at Turner’s Hall this past Sunday afternoon. Not only did they have revenge in mind for Q&A after Q&A’s apparent sabotage of the Airborne’s title shot the month prior, but they also knew they had to make their title opportunity against Faith in Nothing count, as who knows how long it would take to earn another opportunity. With Virus & Unknown conspicuously scouting at ringside, Faith in Nothing and the Airborne battled in one of the most high-flying, fast-paced, hard-hitting tag title matches in recent memory. However, when it seemed the Airborne had victory in reach, the jealousy of Q&A consumed them, and Virus and Unknown interfered in the match, screwing the Airborne out of yet another opportunity to become tag champions.

Faith in Nothing were not pleased either. Two men who pride themselves on competition, Faith and Nothing, did not want a cheap tainted victory. They prefer to win their battles on their own, and prove clear dominance over all other tag teams. With both competing teams irate at Q&A, Virus & Unknown retreated, but soon returned with an equalizer: a ladder. It was clear the CAPW tag title picture was continuing to spiral further out of control, and Faith in Nothing’s hopes of proving themselves as the clear superior team were becoming bleak.
Seeing the chaos around him, Vincent Nothing knew there was only one possible solution.

The only way to bring finality to this dispute, to establish once and for all who does and does not deserve to call themselves the rightful champions, is to place all 3 teams in the ring at once and throw the rulebook out the window. On Sunday, April 15th at Turner’s Hall in Cleveland, Ohio 3 teams will enter one of the most dangerous death-defying matches in professional wrestling: The Ladder Match. The tag titles will be suspended high above the ring and the only way to retrieve them is by climbing a ladder. The first team to retrieve the titles will call themselves champions.

Will the brash, arrogant Q&A prove they are the rightful and uncrowned tag team champions, still worthy of wearing the gold due to having never lost them last year? Will Jake & Dave Crist make their mark in CAPW as major players and finally overcome the obstacles and setbacks set forth by their jealous rivals? Or can Faith in Nothing realize their goal, and prove themselves the superior dominant team and begin to etch a legacy that they hope to build on for many years to come?

We will have much more coverage right here in the coming weeks, as we count down to the CAPW Tag Title Ladder Match on Sunday, April 15.

CAPW vs. JCW SIGNED FOR APRIL 15!

In recent weeks, we’ve touched on CAPW being represented very prominently as part of the nationwide wrestling/music tour presented by The Insane Clown Posse and Juggalo Championshit Wrestling. Not only was CAPW Champion Tracy Smothers featured in the early dates in the tour, but CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Champion Zach Gowen has appeared on every show of the tour. Furthermore, JT Lightning appeared at the Cleveland event, and is scheduled for upcoming appearances in Pittsburgh and Detroit as well. Senior referee Bobby Potter appeared in Cleveland and Philadelphia and will be in Pittsburgh as well. Chris Kole made a cameo appearance at the Cleveland event also. However, now on April 15, it will be CAPW’s turn to have home field advantage, as the CAPW vs. JCW series comes to Turner’s Hall.

Heavyweight Champion “Wild Eyed Southern Boy” Tracy Smothers & his frequent tag team partner JT Lightning have been business associates for quite some time now, and seem more determined than ever, even going as far as relieving former advisor Krystal Frost of her duties. Tracy & JT will be opposed however, by two of the toughest, most hardcore individuals you’ll find anywhere today: 2 Tuff Tony & Madman Pondo, two men who are very dangerous, and certainly are not afraid to bleed. Smothers & Lightning were so hated at the JCW live events, that fans nearly rioted on several occasions. Now that same volatile atmosphere comes to CAPW, and Tony & Pondo will be fighting for the honor of the entire Juggalo family on April 15.
