From the Desk of Tod Gordon: PWU Crazy Upd8 6/16

From the Desk of Tod Gordon: PWU Crazy Upd8 6/16
ProWrestlingUnplugged.com

For the last two years, The Crazy 8 has been the signature event of PWU. Both times the match was fought over a title, with the winner having to retrieve the belt from the ceiling of the arena.

We at PWU have decided that tradition is one that should continue.

Therefore, rather than a tag team grudge match, this year's mega match will be for the Pro Wrestling Unplugged Heavyweight Championship. It will involve
current champion DEVON MOORE, the new fan favorite DETOX, and former PWU Heavyweight Champion, TOO COLD SCORPIO.

Watch the short video on ProWrestlingUnplugged.com showing the past two Crazy 8 matches, and let your imaginations go wild as you picture Scorpio swinging from those ropes and scaffolds as he tries to regain his title.

In addition, our other main event will be what I believe is the first ever tag team IRON MAN MATCH pitting the SAT's and AMIL as they attempt to finally end this war once and for all.

We will be releasing more information later this week regarding other matches, our first ever tailgate party, and the names of some Superstars who will be debuting June 16th.

PWU 5/19 Results: 2 Cold Scorpio, Crazy 8 News, 4 Debuts

PWU was high energy all day Saturday starting with the 2 Cold Scorpio Clinic and ending with a big announcement for “The Crazy 8” on Saturday, June 16 in front of the largest crowd since January’s “Cuffed & Caged”.

* Almost two dozen participants has the chance to learn from a rare 2 Cold Scorpio wrestling seminar, sponsored by the XFC Wrestling Academy and PWU on Saturday afternoon.

2 Cold Scorpio made Pro Wrestling Unplugged his first return to wrestling since leaving the WWE. Scorpio gave hands on instruction, building on each participants’ strengths, while working on their unique challenges. A true professional, Scorpio shared his wealth of experience with each individual. Of course, we would see more of Scorpio on Saturday night.

*In a Team P.I.T. match, ”The Complete” Pete Hunter pinned Aramis under the watchful eye of “The REAL Pitbull” Gary Wolf, after Aramis was distracted by a run-in from former PWU employee, KJ Hellfire.

XFC Wrestling Academy head trainer Gary Wolf has taken Aramis and Hunter under his wing with his "Physically Intense Training". Hunter’s power and Aramis’ quickness lead for a great match, until former employee KJ Hellfire jumped the guardrail. Hellfire grabbed the mic saying since he’s not employed by PWU, he should be voted PWU Commissioner. Distracted by Security removing KJ, Hunter used a backslide on Aramis to get the pin. Both men shook hands after the match as a sign of respect.

* PWU Women’s champion Amy Lee and Sara Del Ray (w/ Doctor Don Bootz) defeated Annie Social and April Hunter, but Lee pushed around Del Ray after the match.

Before the match, Annie Social stormed the ring to attack Amy Lee. Hunter pulled off Annie, but Lee wanted no part of April and tagged in Del Ray. After Del Ray was punished by Hunter, Amy Lee refused to tag in. Del Ray snuck in a blind tag. Social tagged in to get a piece of Amy Lee but was stopped when trying to power Lee until she reversed a double team attempt from Del Ray and Lee and hit a big double clothesline. All four women enter the ring, but when Annie tried a sunset flip, Lee used he size to squash Social for the pin. After the match, Lee said she didn’t need any help and slapped Del Ray before running off with the Mad Doctor.

* Lucky showed a new attitude, using the ropes for added leverage to pin Drew Blood.

Both men appeared even after a high flying and technical flurry until Lucky slapped Blood across the face. Drew regained the advantage, even connecting with an Arabian Press on the outside. Blood hit a series of flying kicks and stiff shots, but was met with a brutal kick to the face by Lucky. Lucky used dirty tactics, but Blood hit a brutal Reverse Snapmare Driver. After hitting Lucky with a Shining Wizard in the corner, Drew missed a top rope senton. Lucky rolled Blood up for the pin, but uses the ropes for leverage.

* Johnny Kashmere (w/ “Discount” Dewey Donovan) defeated Zach McGuire after throwing powder in McGuire’s eyes and connecting with The Cradlebreaker

Kashmere started in on the crowd saying they discriminated against him because he's not handicapped like his opponent, the deaf high flyer Zach McGuire. Johnny tried to play games with McGuire, grabbing the mic and pretending to talk. But McGuire is deaf, not stupid. McGuire took control with his Lucha and hit a moonsault to the outside on Kashmere and Donovan. After some amazing high flying from McGuire, Kashmere hits a mid-air spear. Johnny went into a bag he carried to the ring. Kashmere pulls out a Bat-a-rang, but misses! The ref sees Kashmere with another object and while trying to block him, Johnny throws powder behind the ref’s back into McGuire’s face. Kashmere connects with The Cradlebreaker for the pin.

* John House’s “House of Unplugged” re-introduced JC Ryder to PWU, but in an open challenge, was defeated by the returning Detox!

JC Ryder plugs New Jersey as the place he pumps his fists, not his own gas and issues an open challenge. What appeared to be an elderly man came from behind and pinned Ryder. As House tried to find out who it is, the man pulled latex make-up off his face to show he is actually Detox! Detox lays out John House! Detox is back in Pro Wrestling Unplugged!

* In a violent Anything Goes Street Fight, PWU Tag champions All Money Is Legal defeat The SAT.

In revenge from an attack last month, AMIL battled The SAT as they walked down the entrance way. The SAT regained control and was vicious in their assault. The SATs used chairs, tables, and the guard rails to try and take out AMIL. Joel positioned Pusha for a Superplex onto a piece of broken table, but Pusha hit a Facebuster from the top. Murda hits a Spicolli Driver through the table section on Jose. AMIL wins back some of their Pride. The SAT DDTs one security member from the apron and sends another through a table. Jose tries to tell Philadelphia what he thinks, but Joel tells him “these people don’t deserve to hear us in English”.

* The Thomasellis (Sal, Vito, and Brandon) beat Teddy Fine, TJ Cannon, and Bruce Maxwell. After the match, Cannon and Maxwell attack Fine.

Fast paced action between Sal and Vito against the debuting Maxwell and Cannon start the match. After a spinning suplex, Maxwell tagged in Teddy. Fine fended off an assault from all three Thomasellis. TJ hit a tope to the outside, followed by Maxwell with a dive. But Fine was stopped with a doubleteam flapjack. The Thomasellis doubleteam their opponents until TJ hits an Asai moonsault and tags Fine in, taking out The Thomasellis. But as all six enter the ring, the Thomaselli’s dump TJ & Bruce on their heads and finish off Fine for the pin. After The Thomasellis leave the ring celebrating, Fine, Cannon, and Maxwell help each other up, just for TJ and Bruce to turn on Fine! After a 450 and a double stomp, Drew Blood makes the save.

* Tod Gordon talks Crazy 8 - Joey Matthews, 2 Cold Scorpio, Eddie Kingston, Sunny, and The Nasty Boys will be in action on 6/16. Gordon also introduces the crowd to some of the PWU Idol contestants.

Gordon shares the news so far on The Crazy 8 - Joey Matthews, 2 Cold Scorpio, Eddie Kingston, Sunny, and The Nasty Boys will be on hand Saturday, June 16 for the biggest event in wrestling today and at the Crazy Tailg8 Party before the event!

Tod calls some of the PWU Commissioner Idol contestants to the ring, including Mike Sanz, Cyrus Phoenix from Chicago, and the well-liked, well-endowed Kitty among them.

* 2 Cold Scorpio, former PWU Heavyweight champion, pins Z-Barr after a moonsault leg drop.

The packed New Alhambra Arena welcomed back the returning legend with a standing ovation. Despite pre-match disrespect from Z-Barr, the match started respectable with true catch as catch can wrestling at its best. Z-Barr finally connects a strong style forearm, but it just spurns Scorpio on, hitting a big dropkick on Barr, sending him to the floor. The two trade stiff shots back and forth, but Z-Barr slams 2 Cold to the mat. The two trade more shots until Scorpio hits a Hurricanrana to the outside. Z-Barr uses a chair and the guardrail, but Scorpio fights back, even kicking out from a reverse DDT. They went back and forth until Scorpio hits his trademark moonsault legdrop.

* Joker was pinned by Adam Flash, despite Flash tapping while in Joker’s triangle choke

Both these two have been engaged in intense battles in recent months at PWU and want to take out their frustrations. Starting at a lightning pace, Joker sent Flash outside with a dropkick. But after going for a suicide dive, Adam Flash hit a big forearm. Flash uses every cheap tactic to gain an advantage. Joker finally stopped Flash after some stiff headbutts, then a series of suplexes. Flash reversed with an enzuigiri, but when going for a clothesline, Joker rolled him into a triangle choke. Flash rolled Joker into a three count, but Flash began tapping at the 3.

* PWU World Heavyweight champion Devon Moore vs. Trent Acid went to a no contest after interference from Johnny Kashmere, Dewey Donovan, and Detox. Gordon announces the Crazy 8 match will be The Backseat Boyz vs. Devon Moore and Detox.

Trent was accompanied by Johnny Kashmere and “Discount” Dewey Donovan. But Moore was gunning right for Acid, with the intent to beat the hell out of him. The crowd was on their feet. Acid tried to escape, but Moore threw him back to the ring. This was just a brawl. Acid is finally sent to the outside by Moore. After battling in-ring, Moore knocked Trent out again, then hit a big splash to the outside. Trent fights back to hit a powerbomb on the outside. But as Devon regains the advantage back in the ring, Kashmere jumps in and chokes Moore with a rope. Out comes Detox to make the save. The match is declared a no contest, but PWU Owner Tod Gordon comes out and says next month The Crazy 8 match will be The Backseat Boyz against Devon Moore and Detox!

FINAL RESULTS:

* "The Complete" Pete Hunter def Aramis
* "Primetime" Amy Lee and Sarah Del Rey def Annie Social and April Hunter
* Lucky def Drew Blood
* Johnny Kashmere def Zach Mcguire
* All Money Is Legal def The SAT
* The Iron Saints def TJ Cannon, Bruce Maxwell, and Teddy Fine
* Too Cold Scorpio def Z-Barr
* Adam Flash def Joker
* Devon Moore vs Trent Acid ended in a No Contest

PWP.com LIVE Recap: Kashmere-Gordon Confrontation; PWU 5/19 7:30 pm

PWP.com LIVE Recap: Kashmere-Gordon Confrontation; PWU 5/19 7:30 pm
ProWrestlingPress.com

ProWrestlingPress.com LIVE Radio is becoming the place for people to expect the unexpected. When Johnny Kashmere tried to dominate PWP, he was confronted by PWU Owner Tod Gordon.

Johnny Kashmere talks down opponent Zack McGuire (who he’s facing Saturday at PWU) and goes after PWP.com co-host Nate Stein.
• John House plugs Kashmere as the first man to bring the Big Japan Junior Heavyweight Title to the U.S. and brings Kashmere on early, to catch Nate Stein off guard, saying that it was time for Stein to apologize.
• Stein didn’t apologize and said he was proud he stood up to Kashmere in-ring last month.
• Kashmere talked about PWU this Saturday against Zack McGuire, saying it will be a beat down, like it was when he defeated Nate Stein last month.
• Kashmere & Stein got into it. After laying into Kashmere, Stein hung up to keep the show going.
• Makes fun of the challenges McGuire has overcome to be in the ring and says he can’t believe the “gaul” of McGuire to believe he can step into
the ring with someone with the experience he has.
• Kashmere talked about how people try to bring him down after he’s the one who builds them up, how he helped to start PWP’s Live Radio, PWU, & XFC. But says nothing can bring him down.

PWU Owner Tod Gordon makes a surprise appearance to confront Kashmere and answers questions about recently released WWE talent coming to PWU!
• Nate Stein returns, bringing PWU Owner Tod Gordon onto the show.
• Gordon confronts Kashmere on why would he pick on the Nate Steins & Amy Lees of the world, why doesn’t he “grow a set” and face the bigger men in PWU like Kwami, Damien Slugga, or other names in PWU.
• Kashmere says he feels ambushed, but it doesn’t matter who is in front of him, he will enjoy this weekend.
• Gordon says he looks forward to the Commissioner Idol winner setting up a Kashmere vs. THE ENTIRE LOCKER ROOM match. Kashmere says he will find
his own candidate to support and take it to Gordon.
• Trash says the Commissioner Idol position is made for him. Gordon asks who Trash would put against Kashmere. Trash immediately says Trent Acid.
• Gordon calls out House for causing trouble with everyone and how he likes to divide and conquer, putting Joker & Reyes against each other, as well as Joel & Jose Maximo…and warns House will eventually turn Acid & Kashmere against each other.
• House asks Gordon with all the recent WWE releases, will we have a surprise this Saturday at PWU? Gordon mentions 2 Cold Scorpio will be there, but mentions you never know, especially with Sabu and apparently RVD now “free” from their contracts.

The PWP LIVE Roundtable brought the latest news from ProWrestlingPress.com:
• WWE Hiring/Firing (Firing Sabu, Rob Conway, Vito, 2 Cold Scorpio, and allegedly RVD. Hiring UK talents Drew Galloway, Murat Bospherous, Stu
Sanders, Sheamus OShaunessy, Chris Chaos, Taylor Phoenix, Hade Vansen, & new writers)
• Jericho with upcoming indy dates (PWE on 6/24 in Martinsburg, WV & MCW on 7/8 in Batlimore) and his possible WWE return
• TNA & NWA finally split, NWA signs with Big Vision Entertainment, while TNA debuts new title belts
• Edge becomes new WWE World champion, wrestling 7 times in last 4 days. What it means for WWE.

Pro Wrestling Unplugged returns THIS SATURDAY at 7:30 pm at the New Alhambra Arena (former ECW Arena), 7 Ritner ST in Philadelphia, PA. What will lead
into the most unique match in wrestling today and a premiere event for PWU with The Crazy 8 on June 19?
* PWU World Heavyweight Title Match: champion Devon Moore vs. Trent Acid
* Anything Goes, Street Fight: All Money Is Legal vs. The SAT
* Johnny Kashmere w/ The Dew vs. Zack McGuire
* Annie Social/April Hunter vs. Amy Lee/Sara Del Ray

ProWrestlingPress.com NEW DVDs: Ian Rotten Seminar & Past Independent Promotions

ProWrestlingPress.com NEW DVDs: Ian Rotten Seminar & Past Independent Promotions
ProWrestlingPress.com is proud to announce the launch of two new exciting lines of DVD Home Videos - The Seminar Series and The Nostalgia Series.

Seminar Series:

The seminar series, in conjunction with the XFC Pro Wrestling Academy, kicks off with the Ian Rotten Seminar. No stranger to the wrestling ring, the Undisputed King Of Hardcore made his name famous in ECW and carried it to his own promotion of IWA: Mid South. While everyone knows that Rotten can go punch for punch with the best of them, he recently showed PWU fans in Philadelphia that he is also a mat technician. In this seminar, he takes that knowledge and passes it on to the viewers. This DVD is great for beginners and the experienced wrestler as Rotten teaches the basics starting with back and front bumps and advancing to various forms of strikes and how to utilize them properly. Also, while teaching these skills Ian shares some stories of his rise to the top. Finally, as an added bonus the March 13th, 2007 episode of PWP Live featuring The Bad Breed has also been placed on the DVD. All this on the double disc set for only $10.

Nostalgia Series:

ProWrestlingPress.com is also proud to announce the formation of the Nostalgia Series. Some of Independent Wrestling's defunct organizations have signed on with PWP to remaster their VHS versions of their shows to DVD format to offer to our fans to relive the memories! See some of today's stars before they were the stars they are today including Mickie James, The Backseat Boyz and so many more. Various legends also make appearances. Tomorrow we will announce the first volume of our ground breaking Nostalgia Series.

For more information and to order these new DVDs, head over to the PWP Online store or catch us at the various shows that we will be at over the next couple of weeks including Pro Wrestling Unplugged's "Pride, Pain, and Punishment" THIS Saturday at the New Alhambra Arena in Philadelphia at 7:30 pm.

From the Desk of Tod Gordon: PWU 5/19 @ 7:30 pm HUGE Card Announcement, Crazy 8 News, Commissioner Idol, & More

From the Desk of Tod Gordon: PWU 5/19 @ 7:30 pm HUGE Card Announcement, Crazy 8 News, Commissioner Idol, & More

Spring is in the air! It's May and PWU as always is preparing to put together a string of shows that should have wrestling fans talking for some time to come. Before I give you the upcoming card, let me ask that you all check out our web site, ProWrestlingUnplugged.com, where as I write this fans are sending in submission after submission to be a part of COMMISSIONER IDOL! What is Commissioner Idol? We at Pro Wrestling Unplugged take great pride at trying to be innovative. Sometimes it seems like everything in wrestling that can be done has been done. Witness our exhibit # 1, The Crazy 8 match. Scheduled for June, this third annual Crazy 8 match will no doubt be taking this already insane concept to a higher level. Click here to watch a 3 minute video of what I consider one of the most innovative wrestling concepts in many years. I only wish I had thought of it first instead of Johnny "bi-polar" Kashmere. I didn't, so I'll give him his due.

I have, however, come up with Commissioner Idol where I intend, with the help of all of our voting fans, to give the actual job of PWU Commissioner to an actual fan! That is my definition of being a fan friendly and fan interactive federation. You can submit your entries via YouTube, VHS, DVD, or you can show up early in June and our own cameramen will tape you at no charge. Voting will be taking place at both our live events and over the internet. Each month a select grouping of fans who have made submissions will be invited into the ring as their tryout tape appears on our jumbo tron. The audience will no doubt give you instant feedback. When we whittle it down to the final 10 contestants, the true race will be on to see which fan will actually break into the world of professional wrestling without ever having attended so much as one class. Important note: this contest is NOT open to employees of Pro Wrestling Unplugged. It is truly going to be done by the fans, shown for the fans, and WON BY A FAN! For more information regarding this unique opportunity, including rules and guidelines, simply click here.

Now let's get into PRIDE, PAIN, AND PUNISHMENT, Saturday night, May the 19th, at the New Alhambra Arena (formerly known as the ECW Arena) with a bell time of 7:30. Doors will open at 7:00 sharp. The title of this show was actually taken from the mouths of All Money is Legal (AMIL) shortly after the totally unjustified malicious beating they received from THE SAT after their match in April. This went way beyond a wrestling beating and obviously, former favorites, The SAT had some kind of personal vendetta, be it real or imaginary, in their heads. As I sat in my office trying my damnedest to talk Annie Social out of quitting her job as executive vice-president, AMIL literally kicked in my office door and demanded a fight with the SAT. I asked them if they wanted some kind of special stipulation in their title defense, and their response was mostly unprintable, except for a few of their more mild words. Basically, they said "Screw the titles, we want a fight...a street fight...no wrestling clothes...anything goes...this ain't about no damn titles...this is about PRIDE...this is about PAIN...and this will most definitely be about PUNISHMENT!" That's about as sanitized a version as I can offer you fans, but after agreeing to this street fight, I realized that without knowing it, they had just named our May event.

It seems that pride is a recurring theme this month as one Johnny Kashmere was put through his very own barbed wire table by the young up and coming
deaf wrestling star Zack Maguire, a second generation wrestler who hails from Florida. Naturally, Kashmere blamed this all on his demented perception that Zach Gowen and Maguire conspired against him, when in reality it was every man for himself. Therefore it will be Kashmere vs. Maguire leaving Johnny with no excuses. As I mentioned earlier, and parts of this are available to see on our website's YouTube videos, my second in command, Miss Annie Social has resigned her post after being attacked, actually demolished, by women's champion "Primetime" Amy Lee along with that very strange man she carts around her known only as The Mad Doctor. Clotheslines and chairshots added to her meltdown and Annie, who is outweighed by more than double by Amy Lee has enlisted the aid of a new friend. Fresh off of Carmen Electra's Naked Women's Wrestling League pay per view where they became very good friends, Annie has solicited the services of one of the toughest females to ever lace up a pair of boots, April Hunter. Never one to be outdone, and being well aware of Hunter's kick-ass reputation, wily veteran Amy Lee went out and got her own "ringer", Sarah Del Ray. Del Ray, known as one of the toughest women in the business, like Hunter has wrestled all over the world, and we welcome her into the PWU locker room. This one's going to be quite interesting.

Back to our "pride" theme. There is also something known as "false pride". Coupling that with his usual chip on his shoulder, Trent Acid has been telling anyone within the sound of his voice over and over again about the standing ovations he received at The King of Europe tour. He's convinced that with the new moves he picked up on his European tour that he can win back the Heavyweight championship from Champion Devon Moore. Moore has held the title for 9 months and has beaten a virtual who's who of contenders. Both men are vying to be one of the participants in the highly anticipated Crazy 8's match in June, and the winner of this is basically assured of getting into next month's main event.

Last month, Adam Flash pulled a fast one on Messiah and no-showed the event. This month, unfortunately, it's Messiah who can't make it. He sent me the
following e-mail and with his permission, I reprint it:

There really is no easy way to say this so I'm just going to say it. I will not be able to compete against Adam Flash on May 19th. The god's honest truth is that I just started a new job and I am unable to take time off without jeopardizing my position in the company. The fact of the matter is I need to feed my family. As much as I dislike Flash, and would like nothing more than to kick his washed up ass around the ECW arena - I cannot put my hatred toward him in front of the needs of my family. I doubt Flash would have shown up anyway. Hell, he No Showed me last month. However, I will be showing up in PWU on June 16th, Flash. So, why don't you and I beat the hell out of each other then? You better believe I'm not the one who is going to be leaving PWU that night on a stretcher - I need to be at work at 7 am.

William "Messiah" Welch

That was received by the office earlier this week. Flash's cockiness just may be his undoing however, as PWU management has come up with what we deem a most suitable replacement. That man is known simply as JOKER! After getting screwed over by Ricky Reyes last month, the normally unpleasant Joker has actually become even more intolerable to be around, and Flash, I wish you Godspeed as a foul tempered Joker is not something to laugh about.

The Slugga Grand Slam Challenge continues this month, and The Iron Saints, Vito and Sal Thomaselli will return and join their brother Brandon Thomaselli in six man action. Other matches include The Real Pitbull Gary Wolf as his two prized XFC Academy graduates, The Complete Pete Hunter and Aramis will both try and impress their teacher when they square off. Also scheduled to appear are Drew Blood, Lucky, The Angus', and Z-Barr who has requested to appear on John House's in ring segment.

Last, but equally as important, because for the last two years The Crazy 8 has been the hardest PWU ticket to get, we will put them on sale that night, Saturday, May 19th, before they go on sale publicly the following Monday. Just as an aside, besides the amazing main event , we will see the PWU
debuts in June of Eddie Kingston and the return to the arena of Joey Matthews. Again, tickets will be on sale at the building May 19th and they are guaranteed to go fast.

Get those Commissioner Idol submissions in as this company, with it's wealth of talent, is one anyone would want to be in charge of.

PWU Quick Results - 4/21

PWU Quick Results - 4/21
prowrestlingunplugged.com

At Pro Wrestling Unplugged’s “Moore Than Enough” on Saturday night, April 21, the stars of PWU brought down the house.

Eddie Kingston started off the night stating he's not here to bury anybody or other companies, he's here because he's a professional and wants to bring competition to PWU. He also had words for whomever was to hold the PWU World Heavyweight Title, he plans on bringing the competition to them. Kingston will make his PWU in-ring debut on June 16 at the New Alhambra Arena in Philadelphia.

In an interesting side note, Derek Sabato has also joined the PWU as an in-ring official, refereeing the first contest between Z-Barr and Peter Hunter.

“The Complete” Pete Hunter with his mentor “The REAL Pitbull” Gary Wolf were able to take out Z-Barr, despite Z-Barr’s attempts to derail Hunter’s dream of championship gold.

To determine the number one contenders to the PWU Tag Team Titles, THE SAT made their way to the ring first, letting everyone know they are not happy with losing the Tag Titles…without even getting pinned…and took out their anger on the fans in Philadelphia.

In an amazing contest, The SAT took on The Angus Brothers and the Bosum Buddies of Teddy Fine & Drew Blood. In the end, it was the SAT who was declared the number one contenders to the PWU Tag Titles. But that was not the end of the SATs involvement for the night.

The Hatchet Boyz, Corporal Robinson & 2 Tuff Tony, took on the debuting Iron Saints, Sal and Vito Thomaselli. Starting off as a solid wrestling match, it broke down into a fight quickly. And the involvement of Brandon Thomaselli in the match not only gave The Hatchet Boyz a win by DQ, but a reason for revenge when they try to even the odds in the future.

Luke Hawx took on XFC graduate Aramis and the amazing Lucky in a fast paced, high-impact match up, taking a solid victory to regain some recent lost ground and to declare his own intentions to step up his own level of competition in Philadelphia.

Amy Lee tried to call out Johnny Kashmere, but Annie Social answered instead saying if she didn't leave the ring, she wouldn't get paid. Amy’s response was to beat down the PWU Executive Vice President.

In a three-way featuring all debuting talent for PWU, Brandon Thomaselli faced Ricochet & Chuck Taylor. In an awesome match up that took each star to their limits, it was Thomaselli who walked out the winner.

The PWU Tag Titles were defended successfully by champions All Money Is Legal against the debuting Bloodline, Billy Blade and Michael Rayne. But The SAT came back out to BEAT DOWN The SAT.

Dameon Slugga holds on again to the $1000 grand prize in the Slugga Grand Slam Challenge, as even the surprisingly appearing KJ Hellfire came in with a purchased ticket after being recent tired and was subsequently beat down by Slugga when he almost slammed the big man.

In the Barbed Wire Table Match, the one-legged Zach Gowen, the deaf Zach McGuire, and Johnny Kashmere took apart each other. But despite the antics and attempts to pick apart the unique challenges Gowen & McGuire face, Kashmere found himself the victim of his own barbwire table with McGuire receiving the pin after an assist from Gowen.

In the oddest twist of the night, Messiah took on Trent Acid. But right as Messiah made his way for the pin, Adam Flash showed up on the New Alhambra Tron, distracting Messiah enough for Trent Acid to sneak away a victory.

After tearing each other apart through the arena, it was Devon Moore who stood tall, retaining the PWU World Heavyweight
Title against Ricky Reyes and Joker in a three way…but after Reyes was eliminated from the match, he held down Joker’s foot behind the back of the referee and Devon Moore. What is next in the story of Joker and Reyes? And who is next in line for a shot at the PWU World Heavyweight Title?

PWU returns to action on Saturday, May 19. For all the latest, visit prowrestlingunplugged.com.

Quick Results:

"The Complete" Pete Hunter def Z-Barr

The SAT def The Bosom Buddies and The Angus Brothers

The Hatchet Boyz versus The Iron Saints ended in a No Contest

Luke Hawx def Aramis and Lucky

Brandon Thomaselli def Ricochet and Chuck Taylor

(c)All Money Is Legal def Bloodline

Zach McGuire def Johnny Kashmere

Trent Acid def Messiah

(c)Devon Moore def Joker and Ricky Reyes

From The Desk Of Tod Gordon... 4 New Faces In PWU

MOORE THAN ENOUGH! THREE'S A CROWD! We have received more mail in the last few weeks than at any time in this company's history. A great deal of the mail has been asking for an explanation of the title for our upcoming show, April 21st, less than two weeks away. Many fans want to hear the whole card, and this column will address and answer all of the above.

We have also received a great deal of mail asking me to discuss what’s going on here in Philadelphia with not only PWU, but other Philly-based feds. I don’t see this as the forum to answer that, but I intend to deal with that and any questions you fans have on Thursday night April 19th on PWP Live which you can find at prowrestlingpress.com.

Back to THREE’S A CROWD! Obviously, the title MOORE THAN ENOUGH, refers to our heavyweight champion, the high flying Devon Moore. Saturday the 21rst he will climb in the ring with two miserable, highly disliked by fans and wrestlers alike, former tag team champions Joker and Ricky Reyes. Not only are these two hated by everyone, they now can’t seem to get along with each other as well. While they are both legit tough guys, they showed weakness when they allowed John House to get inside their heads and prey on their enormous egos as he told them both that they should be world champion. Now, in order to do that, they have to get past not only Devon, but each other. I have a feeling this one may get ugly early and we will add security to ensure our fans’ safety.

Also on this card, we welcome home our own Trent Acid from another long tour and also bid him farewell as he leaves the next day for Europe for the King of Europe tournament. Before he leaves, however, he will face an old friend and foe, depending on when it was, in the returning Messiah. We’re aware of the issues between Messiah and Adam Flash. In fact anyone who was outside the building last month is aware of their issues, but Messiah would be wise to focus on Acid in this one as he’s not a former heavyweight champion for nothing.

The Hatchet Boyz will be in the house as well as Corporal Robinson and Too Tuff Tony will square off against Pro Wrestling Unplugged newcomers THE IRON SAINTS, Vito and Sal Thomaselli who will be looking to stamp their mark on a new audience of fans than they are used to performing in front of down south. Our own tag team champions, All Money is Legal (AMIL) will also meet Arena newcomers, only this time from California as the APW team of Billy Blade and Michael Rayne known collectively as Bloodline want to show the east coast boys that the west has some kick ass teams as well and they would love to defend newly won belts in their home state of California.

Here’s where the THREE’S A CROWD part comes in. You know PWU thrives on being innovative, thrives on shocking and surprising our fans, and this month will be no different. We will be presenting what I believe to be the first ever wrestling card to feature 5, that’s FIVE different and unique matches that we originated in this very building in 1994, that we affectionately call THE THREE WAY DANCE. In addition to Moore, Joker, and Reyes, our fans will be treated to Aramis, Lucky, and Luke Hawx in a match that is starting to get some true rivalry to it; The SAT’s, Angus Brothers, and Bosom Buddies - Drew Blood and Teddy Fine will hook it up to see who the #1 tag team contender will be. The SAT’s held those belts for many, many months and feel disrespected by having to even take place in this match, so this one has some interesting undertones as well.

HERE COME THE SURPRISES! First, three previously unannounced talents will be debuting for Pro Wrestling Unplugged that night. This is what the “smarks” would term a DREAM MATCH, as making their respective debuts in the fourth of five 3 WAY DANCES will be none other than the third Thomaselli brother, Brandon Thomaselli as he will let it all hang out against Ricochet and Chuck Taylor. For those of you who have never seen a tape of these three, let me assure you on my name that this match has the potential to steal the entire show. If you like high flying, incredibly fast paced, in your face wrestling, this is the match you don’t want to miss.

That would bring me to the final 3 way. The man that has become the bane of my existence, one Johnny Kashmere, who just last month put Women’s champion Amy Lee through a barbed wire table and now has vowed to do the same to another high flying newcomer out of Florida by the name of Zack Maguire. Zack is one of the few deaf wrestlers in the history of the business and Kashmere seems to take delight in making derogatory statements about the physically challenged. He has even promised to put Zack through a barbed wire table as well. Fans, I offer up to you a final surprise, one I’m sure Kashmere will not be very happy about. PWU management has acquired the services of none other than Zach Gowen, a wrestler with one prosthetic leg and one kick ass style. Since Johnny thought he would have such an easy time against one wrestler who has overcome the odds, we’ll all get to sit back and enjoy him try to do that with two of them. Kashmere, Gowen, and Maguire. You’re welcome Johnny, and Amy Lee will be in the building looking for you as well.

I’m exhausted from just typing this. Imagine what it will be like to witness all of this live. It’s easy to do. Saturday night, April 21st, bell time 7:30, PWU will show everyone what the hottest new product in the business is today. For tickets, go to www.prowrestlingunplugged.com, where you can also get directions to this mega event. Seats will move quickly for this event as there have been rumors of other major surprises. Sometimes WE don’t even know

Who’s going to show up? All I can promise is one incredibly exciting night of action.

PWU St. Patrick’s Day Massacre Results

PWU St.
Patrick’s Day Massacre Results

ProWrestlingUnplugged.com

Pro Wrestling Unplugged gave Philadelphia action not soon to be forgotten with “St. Patrick’s Day Massacre” Saturday night at the New Alhambra Arena in Philadelphia, PA.

“The Real Pitbull” Gary Wolf came to the ring with his mentee “The Complete” Pete Hunter. But Wolf had an announcement for the PWU fans. Raven, citing issues with the snow claimed his flight was cancelled. Wolf just thought Raven was afraid of what “The Real Pitbull” might do to him. Wolf promised a former ECW superstar in his main event match later in the night.

In a battle of the big men, Sinister X def. “The Complete” Pete Hunter w/ “Real Pitbull” Gary Wolf with a sit-out choke bomb. Despite encouragement from Hunter’s mentor and XFC Academy trainer Gary Wolf, Sinister X pulled out a hard fought victory again “The Complete” Pete Hunter.

Teaming with the Bosom Buddy pairing of Teddy Fine and Drew Blood, Z-Barr was able to connect with a high impact brainbuster on Lucky to put out the team of Lucky and The Angus Brothers. But Z-Barr wanted to take all the credit for his team and discounted any contribution Fine & Blood might made in their match.

Eric Garguilo then called out Adam Flash to ask why he wanted to call out Messiah. Flash stated Messiah was supposed to have his back last week & didn’t believe the line Messiah gave on his MySpace blog. Messiah arrived to explain there had been no arrangements for him to come out to Philly last week. Flash’s response? He attacked Messiah from behind & the two brawled through the building, taking over a dozen people to hold the two back.

After Messiah and Flash fought to the back, we had the debuts of “The Anti-Diva” Kaitlin Diamonds and the almost six and a half feet tall “One & Only” Jaime D. In the middle of everything, Flash and Messiah started brawling through the entrance way of the Arena, fighting through the crowd, the ringside area & to the back. Once order was restored, Diamond and Jaime D continued to go toe-to-toe. It was “The Anti-Diva” with a modified DDT pulled off the victory.

The large screen in the Arena, showed former PWU General Manager John House calling Joker to the ring last month to say PWU management didn’t know what they were doing & should be putting Joker into a PWU World Heavyweight Title Match. This month, House called out Ricky Reyes, the man Joker currently holds PWU Tag Title gold with and told Reyes that it was him & not Joker who House thought should have a PWU World Heavyweight Title shot. Joker showed up to tell Reyes that House was full of it & not to listen. Reyes left, but only after appearing to consider House’s words.

John House then called out the big man Damien Slugga for the $1000 Big Slam challenge. Five fans, hand selected by John House, were asked to try to slam Slugga. When anyone got to close, House “disqualified” the contestants. House then called out anyone from the back to try & slam Slugga. CJ O’Doyle arrived displaying the Irish flag, rallying people behind him on St. Patrick’s Day. But as O’Doyle was able to pick up one foot, Slugga pounded CJ down to the mat. House proudly stated no one had able to collect on the $1000 challenge yet tonight.

Johnny Kashmere was intent on finding out who Tod Gordon’s mystery opponent was, but wanted to plan some surprises of his own, including Trent Acid & manager “Discount” Dewey Donovan. Kashmere though seemed furious with anyone, even violently attacking Nate Stein at ringside. Kashmere then had Donovan & Acid pull out another surprise he had in store, a barbwire table hidden under the ring.

Tod Gordon, along with Annie Social called out Kashmere’s first opponent, Drew Blood. After Kashmere laughed off Blood, Gordon sent Annie Social to the back for Kashmere’s real surprise opponent, escorted by The Mad Doctor, it would be PWU Women’s champion Amy Lee. Amy Lee didn’t back down & put major hurt on Kashmere. But Amy Lee found herself being driven into the barbwire table on the outside of the ring with Kashmere pinning her 1-2-3.

PWU World Heavyweight champion Devon Moore and Jose Maximo started off their match with a steady technical pace. Maximo, the man who won a four way match against his Joel Maximo and both Briscoe Brothers for this opportunity didn’t back down. The match then kicked into high gear with high flying action that even saw Devon Moore fly from the ring into the second row! Devon Moore was able to hold onto the PWU title after connecting with a high springboard cross body onto Maximo.

Quiet Storm defeated Aramis with the Storm Cradle Driver as he attempted to outdo the man who has made a lot of heads turn due to his recent winning streak in singles match ups against both himself and people like the international star Azrieal.

In a match that brought a new definition to high impact, PWU tag champions Joker & Ricky Reyes & All Money Is Legal tore into one another. An amazing display of action, the definite fan favorites in Philadelphia, All Money Is Legal finally got their due and pulled out a victory to win the PWU Tag Team Titles.

In a three way, after letting Joel Maximo and Sonjay Dutt mostly tear each other apart, it was Luke Hawx who took a cheap advantage to roll up Sonjay Dutt for the pin.

The reunited Bad Breed, Ian & Axl Rotten came out to the ring ready for a fight. When “The Real Pitbull” Gary Wolf came out, he said he would deliver on his promise and called out his partner for the evening, Blue Meanie! The popular Meanie, who was back in his true heavier Blue Meanie form, then proceeded to get into a dance off with opponent Ian Rotten. But the comedy ended there as the fight raged on between these Extreme Icons. It was “The Real Pitbull” Gary Wolf with a crucifix on Ian Rotten to pull off the victory.

Ian then delivered an ominous message that the Bad Breed of himself and Axl Rotten have their sites set on the tag team division at Pro Wrestling Unplugged…and that every tag team should be prepared.

Adam Flash Demands The Messiah To Appear At PWU This Saturday

Tonight on Monday Night Mayhem, John House dropped a bombshell on the fans of Philadelphia during his weekly “House of Unplugged” segment. Adam Flash, enraged about the Messiah’s “no show” this past Saturday at the New Alhambra Arena, has asked PWU Officials to give him a forum live in the ring this Saturday night at the St. Patrick’s Day Massacre to confront the Messiah face to face.

John House was able to get in contact with the Messiah to confirm his appearance on Saturday. The Messiah responded that he will be on “Pro Wrestling Press Live!” tomorrow night to inform the entire world at once. The Messiah will be on the air to
accept or deny Adam Flash’s unprecedented challenge. For those who do not know, the Messiah “allegedly” stiffed Flash
by not showing up and being his partner this past Saturday night in Philadelphia. The Messiah now wants to set the record straight. Tune into PWP Live! tomorrow night at approximately 9 PM to make hear the Messiah’s announcement in regards to Saturday.

With Tod Gordon refusing to announce who Johnny Kashmere’s Mystery Opponent will be, not to mention the reunion of Ian and Axl Rotten as The Bad Breed, this Saturday night just got more unpredictable. To hear the Monday Night Mayhem recap, visit ProWrestlingUnplugged.com or MondayNightMayhem.com. Tune into PWP Live! tomorrow night on ProWrestlingPress.com at 9 PM to hear from the Messiah, The Bad Breed, and possibly Raven.

FROM THE DESK OF TOD GORDON (3/17): Gordon Teases Kashmere's Mystery Opponent

FROM THE DESK OF TOD GORDON

This Saturday night, March the 17th, a night generally best known for green beer, corned beef, and cabbage, will see a new color introduced into the holiday. That color is red, as Pro Wrestling Unplugged proudly presents the St. Patrick’s Day Massacre. This card will have special meaning for me as our main event pits four wrestlers who have lived through many wars and many massacres with me back in the early and mid 1990’s. Old battles involving unique egos who all seem to have a past both with and against their own partners, we will see the strange pairing of Raven as he teams up with the “real” Pitbull Gary Wolf. They will take on a team that is no stranger to either one of them, The Bad Breed, Ian and Axl Rotten. The Bad Breed will be reunited for the first time in many years after the two brothers spent what seemed like an eternity trying to end the other’s career. Pitbull came to me and begged to be included in what he personally calls the “On Demand Match,” as he is fed up with hearing people tell him they watch him all the time “on demand” as he battles Ian, Axl, Raven, and Raven’s former partner; Stevie Richards. He is enraged that someone else is profiting from his years of sweat and blood, his broken bones, and yes, even a broken neck that left him in a halo with screws going into his head. Therefore, The REAL PITBULL is willing to put aside his personal dislike towards Raven so that this match will actually put money in the pockets of the participants rather than some monopoly of a corporation. He promises this match to be “old school,” if you follow my drift. The ROTTEN BROTHERS are an interesting entity unto themselves. They have fought each other as much if not more than they have fought as a team, resulting in some of the bloodiest matches ever held in “The Arena.” This match has a lot of intrigue and should bring out the best in all four men.

Most of the mail that has come through my office in the last 30 days has surrounded JOHNNY KASHMERE, who last month claimed a pulled groin kept him from competing. I couldn’t help but notice it felt good enough for him to keep interfering in the match, and it felt good enough later on when he was spotted bar hopping with the ladies. Therefore, I have decided to reward Mr. Kashmere with a surprise of my own. His opponent will be my personal MYSTERY WRESTLER. For those of you making absurd guesses like Ultimate Warrior and Goldberg, get a clue. However, it seems everyone is weighing in on who they think it will be. If past experience serves me correct, when I promise a surprise, I pretty much always deliver. Along with Kashmere, you will all find out who the wrestler is at the massacre. An awful lot of wrestlers passed through the arena’s curtains when I promoted there, and one of them is going to be returning a favor. Good luck, Johnny, and stop pulling out what little hair you have left with worrying.

Those two matches should be enough to get any true fan of the sport to buy a ticket, but if you needed more convincing, there will also be two world title matches this Saturday night as champion DEVON MOORE puts his belt up in a most unique challenge. After months of being bloodied by the like of Ian Rotten and 2 Cold Scorpio, Devon will face someone who his own size, and wrestles an extremely similar style in JOSE MAXIMO, one half of the SAT’s. Maximo outlasted his brother Joel and both Briscoe Brothers to earn this title shot, and probably knows Moore as well as anyone in PWU from all the years that they have trained together. Expect a wrestling clinic from two daredevils who view 20 foot scaffolds as just another weapon. The other title match will be for the tag team titles as champions JOKER & REYES, or Reyes and Joker, depending on which one you ask, take on AMIL, All Money Is Legal, the team that won the Pitbull/Public Enemy Memorial Cup. Time is running out on AMIL as they have had many close but unsuccessful attempts to wrest those belts from different champions and a loss here will send them back towards the tag team line.

The usual assortment of great talent will be on hand as well, including Giant Slugga with his $1000 challenge, Luke Hawx, Z-Barr, Aramis, Quiet Storm, Lucky, Teddy Fine, Drew Blood, Women’s champion Amy Lee, Pete Hunter, and the Angus’. Also, we will be debuting some never before seen in this area wrestlers, including Zack McGuire, the high flying wrestler from Florida who I’m told is the only completely deaf wrestler working today, along with a newcomer from Canada who refers to herself as “The Anti-Diva”. All in all, a sure bet that it will be a night you leave feeling as though you’ve surely gotten your monies worth. Bell time is 7:30, doors open at 7:00, and if you need directions, you can get them at the newly designed website: www.prowrestlinunplugged.com . See you at the matches.
